Jobe (3-0) yielded a run on three hits and five walks over 5.2 innings Monday, striking out seven and earning a win against Boston.

Jobe worked through five scoreless frames before Wilyer Abreu popped a solo homer in the sixth inning. It was Jobe's first win since April 18 and a promising rebound performance after allowing six runs against the Rockies in his last outing. He forced 15 whiffs on 100 pitches but he's displaying the command issues that appeared in the minors last season. Jobe has registered a 27:20 K:BB through 33.1 innings in 2025 and has walked at least four batters in three of his seven outings. He'll carry a 4.32 ERA into his next start, which is projected to be in Toronto this weekend.

Houck (0-3) allowed 11 runs on nine hits and three walks over 2.1 innings while taking a loss against the Tigers on Monday.

Houck coughed up a two-run shot to Gleyber Torres in the first inning and then turned in a scoreless second frame. The third inning was a nightmare, as the Tigers would plate nine runs, including Trey Sweeney's three-run blast. Shockingly, Houck has allowed 11 earned runs twice this season and his ERA jumped from 6.10 to 8.04 after Monday's awful outing. He's delivered three quality starts in nine appearances this season but has failed to complete six innings in any of the other six starts. Still looking for his first win of 2025, Houck is expected to face Atlanta at home this weekend.

Montero will be recalled from Triple-A Toledo and is set to be deployed as a bulk reliever in Tuesday's game against the Red Sox, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Montero will fill the opening in the rotation created by Casey Mize's (hamstring) recent move to the injured list, but the 24-year-old righty won't be tasked with handling a traditional starting role. Instead, the Tigers will use Tyler Holton as their opening pitcher, but he's expected to cover no more than one or two innings before giving way to Montero. Montero is fresh off an impressive eight-inning outing with the Tigers against the Rockies at Coors Field last Thursday, when he surrendered one run on five hits while striking out two and walking three.

Gilbert (elbow) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Tuesday, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

This will mark Gilbert's first official bullpen since being placed on the 15-day injured list with an elbow injury at the end of April, though he reportedly threw off a mound Sunday to a standing catcher. The team has yet to reveal a concrete timetable for Gilbert's return. However, the right-hander will likely need to make at least one or two appearances in the minors before being activated.

Kirby (shoulder) is expected to make another minor-league rehab start with Triple-A Tacoma on Friday in Albuquerque, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Kirby completed his second rehab start with Tacoma on Saturday, surrendering three runs on four hits and two walks while striking out five batters over three innings. The right-hander has missed the entirety of the 2025 campaign so far while recovering from right shoulder inflammation and if all goes well Friday, he'd be on track to return to the major-league roster in the middle of next week.

Lively left Monday's start against the Brewers due to right forearm inflammation, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Lively was forced to exit before the fourth inning of Monday's outing after experiencing discomfort when tossing his warmup pitches. The club will presumably monitor his status over the next few days and may elect to send him for further testing to determine whether a stint on the IL is necessary.

Lively departed Monday's start versus the Brewers after three innings with an undisclosed injury, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Lively didn't suffer an obvious injury, but he threw a couple warmup pitches prior to the top of the fourth inning before walking off the field and into the clubhouse. The righty allowed one hit and two walks over three scoreless frames before being lifted. The Guardians should have more on Lively's status soon.

Klassen is awake and alert after taking a line drive to the head while pitching at Double-A Rocket City on Sunday, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

Klassen remains at the hospital and is still undergoing testing, but he is improving. More should be known later this week about the pitching prospect's timeline to return to a mound. Klassen has posted a 4.97 ERA and 36:7 K:BB over 29 innings covering seven starts for Rocket City in 2025.

Bradford (elbow) will throw a bullpen session Thursday, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

To this point, Bradford has been limited to throwing fastballs and changeups on flat ground. While he has not yet been cleared to spin breaking balls, the left-hander is encouraged with his progress from a sprained UCL in his pitching elbow. Bradford is on the 60-day injured list, and it will likely be a few weeks before a timetable for his 2025 debut with the Rangers becomes clearer.

Montero has a locker in the Detroit clubhouse and is likely to be recalled from Triple-A Toledo to start Tuesday's game against the Red Sox, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Montero will presumably be called upon to fill in for the injured Casey Mize (hamstring) in the rotation. The 24-year-old right-hander tossed eight frames of one-run ball at Coors Field in a spot start last week before being optioned to Triple-A, but he is eligible to be recalled at any time because he served as the 27th man for a doubleheader that day.
