Young did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Rays, allowing two runs on six hits and three walks with three strikeouts over 5.2 innings.

Young battled despite throwing just 48 of 84 pitches for strikes, falling one out shy of a quality start after allowing a run with two outs in the sixth inning. It continued a consistent campaign for the 28-year-old, who's yielded no more than four earned runs in any of his 22 outings while logging at least five frames 18 times. He'll take a 3.50 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 99:45 K:BB across 123.1 innings this season into a road matchup with the Athletics next weekend.

Kikuchi (shoulder) will be activated from the 60-day injured list to start Sunday's game against the Rangers in Arlington, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Despite submitting a horrid 15.63 ERA and 2.37 WHIP in 12.2 innings across four minor-league outings, Kikuchi checked out fine physically and built up his pitch count enough for the Angels to feel comfortable inserting him back into the rotation after a nearly four-month stay on the shelf. In his seven starts with the Angels prior to hitting the IL due to left shoulder inflammation, Kikuchi posted an 0-3 record with a 5.81 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 33:14 K:BB over 31 innings.

Anderson took a no-decision against the Cubs on Saturday, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks in 5.2 innings. He struck out five.

Making his highly anticipated major-league debut, the 22-year-old southpaw fired four shutout innings to begin Saturday's outing before faltering a bit. The Cubs tagged Anderson for a pair of solo home runs in the sixth inning to spoil what had been an outstanding opening act up until that point, but the rookie hurler still showed plenty of promise overall. Anderson, widely regarded as the top pitching prospect in baseball, is tentatively slated to make his second big-league appearance next weekend in Toronto.

Cease (8-5) picked up the win Saturday, allowing one run on two hits and five walks over 6.2 innings in a 4-3 victory over the Yankees. He struck out eight.

The right-hander struggled to find the strike zone at times, but New York hitters couldn't do much when he did get the ball over the plate -- Cease took a no-hit bid into the seventh inning, only to have it broken up by a Jazz Chisholm single. Cease leads the American League in strikeouts on the season with 209, and his ERA (2.37) is second only to Cam Schlittler's 2.16, as the duo gets ready to duke it out for the Cy Young Award over the final weeks. Cease lines up to make his next start at home next weekend against the Mariners.

Martin (finger) threw two simulated innings during a 35-pitch bullpen session Saturday, Bruce Levine of 670TheScore.com reports.

Martin has been on the injured list since last weekend with a finger blister, and manager Will Venable said that the right-hander may need just one more side session before heading out on a rehab assignment. Assuming he doesn't suffer any setbacks, Martin could be cleared to return from the IL around the time he's eligible Aug. 30.

The Red Sox reinstated Rivera (personal) from the restricted list Saturday, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.

Rivera went on the restricted list Monday to deal with a personal matter, and although he is no longer on the restricted list, he remains inactive at Triple-A Worcester due to an undisclosed injury.

Woo (shoulder) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Sunday, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Woo was removed from his most recent start last Sunday against the Astros after experiencing soreness in his right shoulder. The Mariners skipped Woo's subsequent turn in the rotation, but he was able to throw a bullpen session Thursday and will repeat the activity Sunday. How he comes out of Sunday's session will determine when the Mariners slot him back into their rotation during the upcoming week, per Kramer.

Weathers was removed from Saturday's game against the Blue Jays with left forearm discomfort, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Weathers gave up two earned runs on eight hits in 3.1 innings during Saturday's contest before tweaking his forearm while throwing a pitch in the fourth. The severity of the southpaw's injury is unknown, but the Yankees should provide more information in the near future.

The Mariners selected Anderson's contract from Double-A Arkansas ahead of his start Saturday against the Cubs.

After turning in a 1.06 ERA and 0.64 WHIP while striking out 135 batters in 93.1 innings at Double-A, Anderson will skip past Triple-A and make his MLB debut Saturday. The 22-year-old lefty is viewed by many as the top pitching prospect in the sport and is likely to remain in the Mariners' rotation through the end of the season, assuming he doesn't struggle mightily during his first few major-league outings. Jhonathan Diaz was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.

Cameron (8-8) earned the win Friday against the Tigers, allowing two hits and three walks while striking out two over five scoreless innings.

Cameron wasn't particularly sharp from a command standpoint, ending with more walks than strikeouts for the second time since the beginning of July, but the Tigers couldn't capitalize on their opportunities. Cameron was coming off a one-hit shutout against the Angels, and he's now worked 14 consecutive scoreless innings across his last two starts. Cameron will take a 4.02 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 128:46 K:BB across 143.1 innings into his next start, tentatively scheduled for Thursday at Toronto.
