Orioles general manager Mike Elias said Tuesday that Eflin's right lat strain is "very mild" and the pitcher's return is expected to be measured more in "weeks than months," Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Elias added that Eflin -- who was placed on the 15-day injured list April 9 -- is slated to play catch in a few days. It's too soon to know what Eflin's timetable to return is, but he does not appear headed for a long-term absence as long as he can avoid setbacks.

Ullola has a 2.08 ERA, 0.69 WHIP and 5:1 K:BB in 4.1 innings through two starts for Triple-A Sugar Land.

Ullola was removed from his Spring Breakout appearance in mid-March with right shoulder discomfort. He made his first start for the Space Cowboys April 8 and stayed on turn for an April 13 start, although he is slowly building back up from a workload standpoint.

Valdez (1-2) took the loss against St. Louis on Monday, allowing seven runs (six earned) on 10 hits and one walk while striking out three batters over four-plus innings.

Though Valdez didn't give up any homers, the Cardinals hit the ball plenty hard against him and racked up five doubles. The southpaw ended his outing in poor form, giving up five hits -- including three doubles -- to the final seven batters he faced and exiting in a 6-0 hole. This was Valdez's shortest outing of the campaign, as he had gone at least five frames in each of his previous three starts. It's been a roller coaster for the Astros' ace to begin the season -- he's hurled two scoreless outings, but in his other two starts he's given up a combined 11 earned runs across nine innings.

Ryan allowed one run on three hits and two walks in five innings Monday against the Mets, striking out eight. He didn't factor into the decision.

The red-hot Pete Alonso brought a run in on a single in the third inning, but Ryan was mostly able to keep the New York bats quiet otherwise. The right-hander is off to an outstanding start to the season, registering a 2.43 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and 23:2 K:BB across 22 innings (four starts) so far. Up next for Ryan is a tough road matchup against Atlanta, which is set to come this weekend.

Skubal (2-2) earned the win Monday against the Brewers, allowing four hits and no walks while striking out nine in seven scoreless innings.

The Brewers had no answers for the reigning American League Cy Young Award winner, who hurled four no-hit innings to begin the game. Milwaukee did load the bases with two outs while in a 9-0 deficit during the sixth inning, but Skubal blew a fastball by Rhys Hoskins for the final out of the frame. Skubal will bring an excellent 2.66 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 25:4 K:BB over 23.2 innings (four starts) into his next scheduled start at home against the Royals, which lines up for this weekend.

Carrasco (2-1) allowed a run on one hit and two walks over five innings Monday, striking out four and earning a win over the Royals.

The lone blemish in Carrasco's outing was Bobby Witt's solo home run in the third inning. It was Carrasco's first start of the year with fewer than three runs allowed and he dropped his ERA to 5.94 through 16.2 frames. He threw 49 of 79 pitches fo strikes and generated 10 whiffs, including five with his changeup. Carrasco is projected for a road matchup against the Rays this weekend.

Lugo (1-2) allowed four runs on seven hits and two walks over 6.2 innings Monday, striking out four and taking a loss against the Yankees.

Lugo worked three shutout frames before Jazz Chisholm knocked a solo homer in the fourth inning. All four runs against Lugo came on solo home runs in the fourth and fifth frames. Entering Monday's start, he'd given up just one homer through 16.1 innings and this was his first time allowing multiple home runs in an outing since June 4, 2024. Lugo now owns a 3.86 ERA with a 16:9 K:BB over four starts this season. He's currently projected to start in Detroit this weekend.

Baz (2-0) earned the win Monday versus Boston, striking out 11 over six one-run innings. He allowed two hits and no walks.

Baz was utterly dominant in this 98-pitch outing, generating an incredible 17 whiffs to set a new career best in Ks at 11. The only blemish on the right-hander's performance was a solo shot hit by Kristian Campbell in the third inning. Baz now sports a 1.42 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and 27:4 K:BB across 19 innings. The 25-year-old faces another tough lineup in his next start, currently projected to be against the Yankees at home this weekend.

Lucas (2-1) yielded eight runs on six hits and four walks over five innings Monday, striking out three and taking a loss against Atlanta.

Lucas was taken deep three times Monday, starting with Sean Murphy's two-run shot in the first inning before Austin Riley went deep twice. Lucas threw 10.1 scoreless frames in his first two starts before this brutal performance. His ERA jumped to 4.70 with a 14:7 K:BB through 15.1 frames. Lucas is currently lined up to face the Mariners at home this weekend.

Houck (0-2) took the loss Monday against the Rays, allowing 12 runs (11 earned) on 10 hits and two walks over 2.1 innings with one strikeout.

The Boston right-hander yielded a career-worst 11 earned runs in this outing as the Tampa lineup swatted two homers and eight singles. Houck lasted only 61 pitches and raised his ERA from 4.41 to 9.16. Houck is off to a rough start in 2025, as he also sports a 1.93 WHIP and 11:9 K:BB across 18.2 innings. He is currently scheduled to make his next start against the White Sox at home this weekend.
