Vasil picked up a no-decision after throwing four shutout innings, allowing two hits and four walks while striking out four during Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Rangers.

Walks were an issue for Vasil, but he battled through it to post four zeros on the scoreboard. Four innings was his longest outing on the season as he's now made just two starts, and he's pitched to 1.99 ERA over 45.1 innings. However, the 25-year-old seems destined to head back to the bullpen with the White Sox adding Aaron Civale to the rotation via trade Friday.

Kirby allowed two runs on five hits and three walks while striking out five over five innings in a no-decision versus the Guardians on Saturday.

The three walks were a season high, contributing to his fairly early exit. Kirby needed 101 pitches (63 strikes) to get through five frames, which was a bit of a letdown after his 14-strikeout performance in his previous start versus the Angels. Kirby has been middling so far with a 5.96 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 30:7 K:BB across 25.2 innings over five starts after beginning the year sidelined by shoulder inflammation. He is lined up to make his next start on the road versus the Cubs.

Sugano settled for the no-decision after throwing 4.2 innings and allowing three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out four in Saturday's 6-5 win over the Angels.

Sugano didn't make it through the fifth inning for the second straight start, but he battled to limit the damage to just three runs and keep the Orioles in the game. The 35-year-old has allowed four or fewer runs in all of his 13 starts, pitching to a 3.38 ERA on the season. The right-hander is likely to make his next start on the road at Tampa Bay.

Anderson (2-4) took the loss after working five innings, allowing six runs on nine hits and two walks while striking out four during Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Orioles.

June has not been kind to Anderson so far, as he failed to pitch into the sixth inning for the third straight start, allowing a season-high six runs in the process. Over those three starts, the 35-year-old has gone a collective 14 innings, allowing 14 runs on 24 hits and five walks. It doesn't get much easier for Anderson moving forward, with his next start scheduled against the Yankees.

Francis did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Phillies, allowing two runs on one hit and three walks with four strikeouts over 3.2 innings.

Francis cruised through three scoreless innings but hit a wall in the fourth, allowing two runs while putting five straight batters on via walk or hit-by-pitch. The 29-year-old has now failed to complete four frames in three consecutive outings and hasn't delivered a quality start since May 10. On the season, he owns a 6.05 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 54:27 K:BB across 64 innings and can't be relied upon even in a favorable matchup against the White Sox next weekend.

Mahle won't make his scheduled start Sunday against the White Sox and will likely be placed on the injured list, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Mahle dealt with some shoulder soreness in his most recent start Tuesday, though nothing was reported until Saturday. His move to the injured list is not yet official, but Kumar Rocker will start in Mahle's place Sunday.

Rocker will be recalled from Triple-A Round Rock to start Sunday against the White Sox, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Tyler Mahle was the scheduled starter for Sunday but is expected to be placed on the injured list due to shoulder soreness. That leaves the Rangers in need of a fifth starter, and Rocker will be tabbed for the role -- at least in the short term. The right-hander was recently activated from the injured list but struggled in a start June 4 with five earned runs allowed across 3.1 innings before being sent to the minors.

Wells (elbow) completed a 25-pitch bullpen session Saturday, MLB.com reports.

Wells tossed fastballs and changeups, and the expectation is that he'll soon begin implementing breaking balls into his throwing program. The 30-year-old right-hander continues to slowly work his way back from the UCL surgery he underwent on his right elbow in 2024, and he'll likely require a lengthy minor-league rehab assignment before becoming an option for the Orioles' rotation. Based on his current progression, Wells is unlikely to make his season debut until sometime in August.

Gil (lat) is at least 10 days away from facing hitters and probably won't return until after the All-Star break, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Gil resumed throwing off a mound in late May and continues to progress in his return from a right lat strain. However, Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Saturday that the right-handed starter won't face hitters for 10-to-14 days, which suggests that Gil won't be able to return to the big club's rotation before the All-Star break. Given that he hasn't seen game action at all this season, Gil will almost certainly requite a minor-league rehab stint before he's activated from the injured list.

Flaherty (5-7) allowed seven runs on five hits and five walks across 4.2 innings to take the loss Saturday against the Reds. He struck out five.

Flaherty was coming off a strong three-start stretch during which he allowed just one run across 18 innings and was the winning pitcher in all three games, but Saturday was a different story, as his ERA climbed from 3.41 to 4.03. The righty was taken deep three times, and the five walks and seven earned runs were new season worsts. On a more positive note, Flaherty now has 90 strikeouts in 76 innings this year, which is good for sixth in the American League. He will look to get back on track in his next appearance, which is currently penciled in for Friday against the Rays on the road.
