Martin allowed five hits and a walk while striking out three over 5.2 scoreless innings in a no-decision versus the Astros on Wednesday.

Martin missed just under three weeks due to a blister on his right middle finger but returned to action Wednesday with no apparent issues. The right-hander put in a good performance, but he wasn't quite as sharp as opposing starter Hayden Wesneski, who turned in seven scoreless frames in the pitching duel. Martin's performance was volatile prior to his absence, as he carried an 8.03 ERA over 24.2 innings across his previous six starts. He's posted a 4.13 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 114:40 K:BB through 130.2 innings over 25 starts this year. His next start is projected to be at home versus the Pirates.

Wesneski allowed one hit, two walks and one hit batsman while striking out five over seven scoreless innings in a no-decision versus the White Sox on Wednesday.

Wesneski threw 58 of 90 pitches for strikes while matching his longest outing of the season by innings. He was just alright initially after his return from Tommy John surgery in late July, but he's taken a dominant turn with just one run allowed over his last 17 innings, during which he has a 15:7 K:BB. Wesneski is at a 3.18 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 33:14 K:BB through 39.2 innings over seven starts this year. He's lined up for another challenging matchup early next week in Philadelphia.

Kremer took a no-decision against the Tigers on Wednesday, allowing four runs on six hits and two walks in four-plus innings. He struck out five.

Detroit did its damage in the second and fifth innings, plating a pair of runs in each frame. After giving up just one run in each of his first two starts with the Twins, Kremer has since conceded at least four runs in three of his past four outings. The right-hander will try to right the ship in a rematch with the Tigers in Detroit, where he'll bring a 4.99 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 28:13 K:BB over 30.2 innings with Minnesota.

Miller did not factor into the decision Wednesday against the Red Sox, allowing a run on seven hits and a walk across 4.2 innings. He struck out three.

After he was demoted to the bullpen last week, the right-hander quickly rejoined the M's starting rotation after Emerson Hancock (groin) landed on the IL. Miller was limited to 65 pitches Wednesday, as he managed to work his way through traffic to hold Boston to one run. Overall, it was a step in the right direction for Miller, who struggled to a 9.00 ERA across 20 frames in his previous four starts. He'll carry a 4.01 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 95:26 K:BB into his next outing, tentatively scheduled to come at home against the Rangers.

Sandoval (1-4) took the loss Wednesday against the Mariners, allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits and three walks over four innings. He struck out two.

After holding Seattle scoreless through two innings, things fell apart for Sandoval in the third, when the Mariners put up four runs, including three that came with two outs. Sandoval has now dropped four of his last five starts despite holding opponents to two runs or fewer in three of those outings. Overall, his ERA sits at 4.41 with a 1.73 WHIP and 50:25 K:BB through 10 starts (49 innings). Sandoval currently lines up to face the Angels at home his next time out.

Rogers allowed two runs on six hits and no walks over 6.2 innings in a no-decision Wednesday against the Rockies. He struck out 11.

After he was tagged for six runs in five innings his last time out, Rogers rebounded with a dominant performance Wednesday, as he set a season high with 11 strikeouts. The left-hander's ERA now sits at 4.30 across 26 starts (144.1 innings) this season with a 1.23 WHIP and 132:37 K:BB. Rogers currently lines up to face the Guardians at home in his next outing.

Cameron took a no-decision against the Marlins on Wednesday, allowing four runs on five hits and one walk in five innings. He struck out seven.

The Royals scored five runs in the first inning to support Cameron, but the hurler was still unable to come away with the win. It was a rare slip-up given the left-hander's recent results, as he allowed more than two runs Wednesday for just the second time in his last eight outings. He'll take a 4.08 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 138:49 K:BB over 154.1 innings into his next scheduled start versus Arizona.

Jax (6-10) took the loss against the Mets on Wednesday, allowing six runs (three earned) on seven hits and two walks while striking out one batter across 2.2 innings.

Jax was activated from the 15-day injured list ahead of Wednesday's start after a one-month absence due to elbow discomfort. He put the Rays on the back foot early by allowing three runs in the first inning before giving up three more runs in the third frame on a bases-clearing double by Brett Baty. Jax threw just 63 pitches and will likely have a limited workload again for his next turn through the rotation, which lines up for next week on the road against Atlanta.

Cantillo (9-8) took the loss against the Blue Jays on Wednesday, allowing nine runs (four earned) on nine hits and two walks while striking out six across 5.1 innings.

Luck was not on Cantillo's side Wednesday, as a throwing error by Angel Genao in the second inning led to the Blue Jays scoring five runs in the frame, capped off by a three-run homer from Vladimir Guerrero. Cantillo finished his outing with nine whiffs and seven groundouts while tossing 102 pitches (66 strikes), and he has recorded at least five strikeouts in five of his last seven outings. He'll take a 3.81 ERA and 1.48 WHIP over 141.2 innings into his next start, which is lined up for next week against the Orioles at Camden Yards in what projects to be a two-start week for Cantillo.

Cease (10-5) earned the win against the Guardians on Wednesday, allowing four hits while striking out four batters across six scoreless frames. He did not issue a walk.

Cease's streak of seven-plus strikeouts ended Wednesday at 19 starts, one shy of tying Randy Johnson and Curt Schilling for the MLB single-season record. Nevertheless, it was another strong outing from Cease, who needed only 83 pitches (56 strikes) to get through six innings, which was the first time since May 24 against the Pirates that he tossed fewer than 90 pitches. That's a positive sign for the Blue Jays, who figure to use Cease as much as possible down the stretch in an effort to reach the playoffs. He'll take a 2.25 ERA and 1.04 WHIP over 156.1 innings into his next start, which is lined up for next week on the road against the Athletics in what is shaping up to be a two-start week for the AL Cy Young candidate.
