Wacha is not fully stretched out for his anticipated start Friday against the Mariners, Steve Carney of Sports Radio 620 WDAE reports.

Wacha is set to rejoin the rotation in place of Tyler Glasnow (elbow), though he may not be able to work deep into the game. Though he has served as a starter at various points in the season, Wacha has not completed more than three innings in any of his last six outings. He did manage to throw 25-to-30 pitches in an extended bullpen session, but he'll likely remain limited Friday.

Glasnow (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Thursday, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Glasnow's move to the 60-day IL is simply procedural after he recently underwent an MRI that revealed a partial UCL tear as well as a flexor strain in his right elbow. The right-hander is currently planning to rest rather than undergoing a surgical procedure, but he'll still miss extended time due to the injury.

Ober didn't factor into the decision Wednesday against the Mariners after tossing four scoreless innings, giving up one hit and fanning six.

Ober entered this game having allowed three home runs in just 13 innings, but he managed to keep the ball in the park and delivered his best outing of the campaign. While it remains to be seen if manager Rocco Baldelli wants to keep him in the rotation going forward, this outing was certainly a step in the right direction for the young hurler. He owns a 3.71 ERA in 17 innings across four starts.

Stripling (2-4) took the loss Wednesday as the Blue Jays fell 3-2 to the Yankees, giving up three runs (two earned) on three hits and two walks over 6.2 innings. He struck out nine.

The right-hander was out-dueling Gerrit Cole and appeared headed for the win until Gary Sanchez took him deep in the seventh inning for the game's deciding runs. Striping still tied his season high in strikeouts en route to his second quality start, and he sports an impressive 2.45 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 29:8 K:BB through 29.1 innings over his last five outings.

Cole (8-3) picked up the win Wednesday, allowing two runs on four hits and a walk over eight innings in a 3-2 victory over the Blue Jays. He struck out four.

The four whiffs tied a season low for Cole, and the right-hander was in line for the loss after serving up two solo homers earlier in the night until Gary Sanchez launched a two-run shot in the seventh to put the Yankees ahead. Cole has a remarkable 11 quality starts in 14 trips to the mound this year but he hasn't recorded double-digit strikeouts since May 12, posting a 3.65 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 39:9 K:BB through 37 innings over his last six outings.

Greinke (7-2) earned the win over Texas on Wednesday by giving up three runs on four hits and two walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out four.

Greinke held the Rangers to one run over five innings, but he loaded the bases in the sixth and watched two of the runners score after he was replaced by a reliever. Still, the veteran emerged with his fifth win over his past seven starts and extended to 12 his streak of yielding four or fewer earned runs. Greinke isn't striking out many batters this season -- his 6.5 K/9 is on pace for his lowest mark since 2005 -- but he has still managed to put together a respectable 3.74 ERA across 91.1 innings.

Lyles (2-5) took the loss against Houston on Wednesday, completing 4.1 innings and allowing five runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out three.

Lyles entered the contest having gone at least five innings in each of his previous seven starts, but that streak came to a screeching halt Wednesday. The right-hander served up four homers to the Astros in the loss -- more than he had given up over his past six games combined. The rough outing pushed Lyles' season ERA to 5.68 and accounted for his fifth loss of the season. He'll try to bounce back in his next start, which is tentatively slated for Tuesday at home against Oakland.

Quintana (shoulder) threw another bullpen session Monday and will toss a simulated game at Angel Stadium this weekend, MLB.com reports.

The southpaw has been on the shelf since May 31 due to left shoulder inflammation, but his bullpen session reportedly went well, and he is now ready to take the next step in his recovery. If his sim game over the weekend goes well, Quintana is likely to then head out on a minor-league rehab assignment before rejoining the Angels.

Medina tossed 5.2 innings for Double-A Somerset on Wednesday, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out 10.

Medina's final line was impacted by a pair of runners he was responsible for crossing the plate after he left the game, but it was nonetheless an impressive outing for the 22-year-old right-hander in his Double-A debut. After striking out 50 batters in 32.2 frames in High-A ball, he continued racking up whiffs with his 10-strikeout performance Wednesday. One of the keys to his success this season has been improved control; his overall 4.9 BB/9, though not overly impressive, ranks as his best season mark across four minor-league campaigns.

Civale (10-2) allowed five earned runs on nine hits and two walks while striking out two across five innings to earn the win Wednesday against the Orioles.

Civale got plenty of run support, as the Cleveland offense scored six runs by the end of the third inning. However, he needed every bit of that to earn his 10th win of the season. Civale allowed two runs in the first inning and then surrendered a two-run home run in the fifth inning, causing him to exit with only a one-run lead. Though offset a bit by his ability to work deep into games, Civale has now allowed at least four earned runs in three of his last four outings. For the season, he has a 3.48 ERA with 71 strikeouts across 93 innings.
