Civale (finger) will make his next start in the big-league rotation, likely Monday against the Twins, Paul Hoynes of Cleveland.com reports.

He came out of his last rehab start Wednesday very well after throwing 71 pitches, so Civale shouldn't face notable restrictions in his long-awaited return to Cleveland's rotation. While he lines up to start Monday, that hasn't been confirmed, but even if he started Tuesday, he could still have a two-start week, with the latter coming next weekend at home against the Brewers. Civale has a 0.79 ERA, 0.71 WHIP and 12 strikeouts in 11.1 innings through three rehab starts.

Giolito (hamstring) began playing catch and could throw a bullpen session Wednesday in Oakland, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Giolito, who left Tuesday's start during the fifth inning with a strained left hamstring, was able to play catch by Thursday. He reported feeling much better Friday during his session on the field, which also included a "calculated" running program.

Keuchel (8-8) allowed six runs (five earned) on seven hits and two walks over three innings Friday, striking out one batter and taking a loss against the Royals.

Keuchel gave up two runs in the second inning before Kansas City piled on four more in the third. He's now given up six runs in each of his last three appearances, inflating his ERA to 5.22 through 142.2 innings. Since the start of July, the 33-year-old lefty is 2-6 with a 7.26 ERA and 31:22 K:BB. Keuchel is projected to take the mound in Oakland next week.

Urquidy got a no-decision in Friday's 6-3 win over the Padres, allowing two runs on five hits and a walk with four strikeouts in 4.1 innings.

Making his first start since June 29 due to a shoulder injury, Urquidy limited San Diego just enough for Houston to come out on top, permitting one run on two hits in both the third and fifth innings. Manager Dusty Baker let the 29-year-old throw a respectable 71 pitches in four plus innings which bodes well for his next start scheduled for Friday versus the Angels.

Anderson allowed three earned runs on four hits and one walk while striking out five across six innings in the win over the Diamondbacks on Friday. He did not factor into the decision.

Anderson allowed just one run through six innings, but ran into trouble in the seventh. He gave up back-to-back doubles to lead off the inning before being pulled. However, he did continue his streak of allowing three or less runs over his last 12 starts. The 31-year-old has a 3.38 ERA and 1.10 WHIP with 30 strikeouts in 40 innings since joining Seattle. His next start is scheduled for Wednesday in Houston.

Means allowed two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out five over five innings in a no-decision versus the Yankees on Friday.

The 28-year-old labored a bit in the contest, needing 93 pitches (58 strikes) to finish his five frames. The runs against Means came on a Giancarlo Stanton solo home run in the fourth inning and a DJ LeMahieu sacrifice fly in the fifth. Means owns a 3.47 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 109:21 K:BB across 119.1 innings this season. He's lined up for a home start versus Kansas City next week, which could present a decent chance for him to get back into the win column after six straight starts without a victory.

Cortes allowed a run on four hits and two walks with seven strikeouts in 5.2 innings versus Baltimore on Friday. He did not factor in the decision.

The southpaw pitched well enough to win, allowing just a solo home run to Trey Mancini in the sixth inning, but the Yankees' bullpen couldn't maintain a one-run lead. Cortes instead took a no-decision for the first time in his last five starts. He's allowed seven runs across his last 24 innings. Cortes owns a 2.67 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 71:21 K:BB through 67.1 innings this year. He'll try to get back in the win column next week in a tougher home matchup versus Toronto.

Quantrill (4-3) allowed five runs on seven hits and two walks with six strikeouts in six-plus innings, taking the loss Friday versus Boston.

The right-hander yielded three solo shots in the first four innings, making Friday the first time he's allowed multiple homers since July 10. Quantrill stayed in to begin the seventh inning, but he allowed the first two runners to reach base, and Trevor Stephan failed to work out of the jam. Quantrill has pitched well enough since the All-Star break to consider this a minor hiccup. He has a 3.15 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 101:40 K:BB through 122.2 innings overall. He's projected for a more favorable home matchup versus Minnesota next week.

Whitlock allowed a run on three hits and struck out two in 1.1 innings to earn the save in Friday's 8-5 win over Cleveland.

The right-hander was able to get out of trouble in relief of Ryan Brasier in the eighth inning. Whitlock then ran into some trouble of his own in the ninth, but he was able to keep the lead for his second save of the season. While he's allowed six runs (five earned) across his last 12.1 innings, Whitlock remains a reliable high-leverage arm for Boston. He has a 1.63 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, 74:15 K:BB and 13 holds through 66.1 innings overall.

Eovaldi allowed three runs on six hits and two walks with nine strikeouts in 6.1 innings versus Cleveland on Friday. He did not factor in the decision.

The right-hander gave up a pair of home runs in the contest -- a solo shot to Jose Ramirez and a two-run blast to Austin Hedges. Eovaldi has allowed multiple homers in three starts this year, all of which have come in his last seven turns through the rotation. Despite his trouble with the long ball, it was a solid start for the 31-year-old, who now has a 3.73 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 163:28 K:BB through 156.2 innings. He lines up for a home start versus Tampa Bay next week.
