Arihara allowed two runs on four hits and a walk with three strikeouts over 4.2 innings in a no-decision versus Arizona on Wednesday.

In his second start back from a shoulder injury, Arihara was solid outside of a sloppy second inning. The right-hander was just one out away from qualifying for the win. He's given up three runs in eight innings across his last two starts, and he now has a 5.89 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 23:13 K:BB through 36.2 innings this season. Arihara seems to have a good chance to stay in the rotation going forward, and he's projected for a tough home start versus Houston next week.

Bundy (shoulder) threw a bullpen session Wednesday and expects to return this season, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports.

Bundy's session Wednesday included just 20 pitches -- all of which were fastballs -- and will be followed by another bullpen Saturday. He'll need to face live hitters and mix in all of his pitches before being able to return to game action, but the right-hander remains confident that he'll be back with the big club before the end of the campaign. "We haven't gotten that far, as far as how many pitches I need to get up to or whatnot, but I'm very confident that before the season is over I'll be back out there at some point," Bundy said.

Eovaldi pitched seven scoreless innings in a no-decision against Tampa Bay on Wednesday, giving up three hits and two walks while striking out eight.

Eovaldi logged his second straight quality start, limiting the Rays to a trio of singles. The 31-year-old has now piled up 163.2 innings on the year, his most since amassing a career-high 199.2 with Miami in 2014. Eovaldi will take a 10-8 record, 3.57 ERA and career-high 171 strikeouts into his next scheduled start on the road at Seattle.

Manning (knee) had X-rays come back negative after leaving Wednesday's start against the Pirates, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

Manning was struck on the left knee by a liner during the third inning, and the initial diagnosis of a contusion was confirmed when the X-rays came back clean. The 23-year-old didn't factor in the decision after giving up one run on four hits with four strikeouts and zero walks in three innings. He should be considered day-to-day, and it's currently unclear if he'll be able to make his next turn through the rotation.

McClanahan pitched five shutout innings Wednesday against Boston, yielding just three hits and a walk with three strikeouts in a no-decision.

After giving up four runs to the Red Sox in his previous start six days ago, McClanahan bounced back nicely Wednesday, allowing just three singles. He was pulled after five innings despite having thrown only 68 pitches (44 strikes). The 24-year-old McClanahan, who is tentatively lined up to face the Blue Jays on the road in his next start, has held his opponents to two earned runs or fewer in seven of his last 10 outings.

Cobb (wrist) has thrown a pair of bullpen sessions and is slated to pitch in a simulated game this weekend, MLB.com reports.

The right-hander hasn't pitched for the Angels since July 23, but there remains hope that he could return to the rotation this season. He may require a minor-league rehab assignment before rejoining the big club, however.

Detmers (COVID-19) threw a bullpen session in San Diego on Wednesday, MLB.com reports.

Detmers recently confirmed that his placement on the injured list in late August was due to a positive COVID-19 test, but the rookie appears to have recovered and will now build up with an eye toward a return. He isn't stretched out to start, however, and could move to a relief role given that he'll almost certainly be on a limited pitch count upon rejoining the big club.

Urquidy allowed two runs on four hits and two walks with two strikeouts in three innings versus Seattle on Wednesday. He did not factor in the decision.

The right-hander needed 70 pitches (42 strikes) to get through the short appearance. Urquidy is still building up after a two-month absence due to a shoulder injury, but he wasn't very efficient Wednesday. He has a 3.51 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 72:16 K:BB across 84.2 innings this year. It's unclear if he'll be able to throw more in his next scheduled start, tentatively set for a road game versus Texas next week.

Anderson allowed four runs on seven hits and three walks in 4.2 innings Wednesday versus the Astros. He did not factor in the decision.

The 31-year-old gave up three runs in the second inning and a solo home run to Jose Altuve in the fifth prior to his exit. Anderson escaped additional damage after Casey Sadler was able to finish the fifth without yielding runs in a bases-loaded situation. Wednesday marked Anderson's shortest outing with Seattle. He's made some improvements since he was traded from Pittsburgh, logging a 3.83 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 34:7 K:BB in 44.2 innings across eight starts as a Mariner. He lines up for a home start versus Boston next week.

McKenzie (4-6) allowed one run on three hits and one walk with seven strikeouts over six innings, taking a hard-luck loss in Wednesday's 3-0 defeat to the Twins.

McKenzie deserved a better fate Wednesday, but Minnesota starter Joe Ryan took a perfect game into the seventh inning and Cleveland ended the contest with just one hit allowed. Even with the Twins' rookie hogging the spotlight, McKenzie deserves major plaudits for what has been an incredible pace of late. In his last four starts, the lanky right-hander has a K:BB of 32:3 and an ERA of 1.00 over 27 innings. His situation with regard to run support is sub-optimal, but McKenzie is certainly holding up his end of the bargain.
