Faedo (1-2) allowed two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out two in six innings, but he took the loss Saturday versus the Guardians.

Faedo did well to keep the Guardians fairly quiet early on, but the Tigers' offense didn't give him enough support. The right-hander has yet to give up more than two runs in any of his five appearances this season, and Saturday marked the first time he's completed six innings. He's posted a 3.00 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 16:8 K:BB across 27 innings. Faedo lines up for a home start versus the high-scoring Twins next week.

Bieber (2-3) allowed one run on eight hits and no walks while striking out five over eight innings to earn the win Saturday versus the Tigers.

This was Bieber's longest start of the season and one of his most efficient as well. Six of his last seven outings have been quality starts. The only run he allowed Saturday came on a Willi Castro sacrifice fly in the seventh inning. Bieber dropped his ERA to 3.19 with a 1.21 WHIP and 51:14 K:BB in 53.2 innings across nine starts this year. He lines up for a road start in Baltimore next week.

Singer (2-0) earned the win Saturday after he pitched 5.2 innings, surrendering three runs on six hits while striking out eight versus the Twins.

Singer gave up a solo homer to Trevor Larnach in the bottom of the second before later surrendering two more runs in the sixth frame, recording two outs in the inning before exiting. He fell one out short of recording his third straight quality start while he gave up his first earned runs since getting recalled from Triple-A Omaha on May 17. Since his call up, Singer has compiled a 1.37 ERA and 0.86 WHIP with 20 strikeouts over 19.2 innings in three starts.

Junk was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on Saturday.

Junk made his major-league debut last season, posting a 3.86 ERA in four starts as his 2.8 percent walk rate largely overcame a poor 14.1 percent strikeout rate. He'll get another chance despite his unimpressive 4.94 ERA in five Triple-A starts this season, though he appears to be ticketed for a relief role, as the Angels don't have a gap in the rotation at the moment.

Lyles tossed 4.1 innings, surrendering three runs on nine hits and a walk while striking out three in Saturday's loss to the Red Sox. He did not factor into the decision.

Lyles gave up all three runs in the bottom of the second, most notably surrendering a two-RBI single to Enrique Hernandez. The 10 baserunners he allowed were the second most he's given up this season, falling one short of the 11 that reached against him when he faced the Red Sox on May 1. Lyles had been very productive in May coming into Saturday, posting a quality start in four of his prior five starts and a 3.31 ERA on the month. The rough outing raised his month-long ERA from 3.31 to 3.65 and on the season, he now owns a 4.26 ERA and 1.42 WHIP with 51 strikeouts over 57 innings.

Eovaldi (2-2) earned the win after he pitched a complete game Saturday, allowing three runs (two earned) on seven hits and a walk while striking out six versus the Orioles.

Eovaldi surrendered a run in the first frame before later giving up two more in the fifth on a Robinson Chirinos homer, one of which was unearned. The outing was his the first complete game of his career, and he has now posted two consecutive strong starts after he surrendered nine runs (six earned) over 1.2 innings against the Astros on May 17. Over his last two outings, the 32-year-old notched back-to-back quality starts while posting a 2.30 ERA with 18 punchouts over 15.2 frames in those contests. Eovaldi tentatively lines up to take on the Athletics on Friday.

General manager Rick Hahn said Saturday that Martin could join the White Sox's rotation after Dallas Keuchel was designated for assignment, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

The right-hander made his major-league debut against the Royals on May 17, and he allowed a run on five hits and a walk while striking out seven in five innings to take the loss. Although he was sent down following the start, both Martin and Vince Velasquez are in the mix to take Keuchel's spot in the White Sox's rotation. Even if Martin joins the major-league rotation next week, he'll likely return to the minors or take on a bullpen role once Lance Lynn (knee) is cleared to return.

Even if the right-hander rejoins the rotation next week, he'll likely return to the bullpen once Lance Lynn (knee) returns from the injured list. Velasquez hasn't been particularly effective early in the season, as he's posted a 5.30 ERA and 1.40 WHIP in 35.2 innings over eight appearances (seven starts). Davis Martin is also in the mix to take Keuchel's spot in the rotation.

Wentz (lower leg) will be called up as the Tigers' 27th man to start the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Twins, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Wentz exited Wednesday's start at Triple-A Toledo after he was hit on the shin by a comebacker, but the injury is apparently of no concern, as he's been cleared to make his second major-league start Tuesday. The southpaw struggled in his big-league debut against the Athletics on May 11, allowing six runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out one over 2.2 innings.

Watkins (forearm) played catch from 70 feet Saturday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Although Watkins' throwing session Saturday didn't require much intensity, he said afterward that he didn't experience any pain and was only dealing with light stiffness. The right-hander is progressing in his recovery from a bruised right forearm, but it's not yet clear when he'll be able to return to game action.
