Ray (4-6) allowed four earned runs on six hits and three walks while striking out six across five innings to take the loss Wednesday against Baltimore.

Ray was undone by a poor second inning, as he allowed two of the first three batters he faced to reach base prior to serving up a three-run homer to Rougned Odor. Ray has now allowed a home run in each of his last six starts, resulting in a 5.64 ERA in that span. He's racked up 74 strikeouts across 65.2 innings this season, but his 4.93 ERA remains inflated due to his inability to keep the ball in the yard.

Bradish allowed two earned runs on six hits and two walks while striking out six across 4.2 innings Wednesday against the Mariners. He did not factor into the decision.

Bradish was given an early three-run lead, but he was pulled after 80 pitches and failed to qualify for the win. He suppressed runs effectively enough, but Bradish struggled to consistently find the strike zone and has allowed eight walks across his last 16 innings. He's struggled to work deep into games as a result, completing five innings in only one of his last four starts. Overall, Bradish has a 6.82 ERA with a 35:11 K:BB across 33 innings.

Rodriguez was diagnosed with right lat discomfort after leaving Wednesday's start for Triple-A Norfolk, Steve Melewski of MASNSports.com reports.

The 22-year-old was initially reported to be managing back cramps, but the official injury announcement from the Orioles is potentially a more concerning diagnosis. It's unclear whether Rodriguez will be available for his next turn through Norfolk's rotation, and he should be considered day-to-day as he continues to be evaluated.

Ryu was removed from Wednesday's start against the White Sox due to left forearm tightness, Mike Wilner of the Toronto Star reports.

Ryu allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits with four strikeouts and zero walks over four innings before exiting with the injury. The veteran left-hander experienced tightness in his left elbow during his previous start and also spent a month on the injured list earlier this season with forearm inflammation, and the recurring issues likely don't bode well for his availability in the immediate future.

Skubal (4-2) tossed seven scoreless innings to earn the win Wednesday against the Twins. He allowed two hits and a walk, while striking out six.

The 20-30 Tigers aren't garnering a lot of buzz, but Skubal is certainly worthy of attention at the moment. The lefty now has a sparkling 2.15 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 61 strikeouts across 58.2 innings. Skubal showed signs of a breakout last season, especially with his 164 strikeouts across 149.1 innings, but the 25-year-old has taken it to another level in 2022. He'll look to keep it rolling in his next scheduled start Tuesday against the Pirates.

Sale (ribs) threw a 25-pitch bullpen session Wednesday with no issues, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

The 33-year-old continues to throw regular side sessions, and he's scheduled to take the mound again Friday before potentially advancing to face live batters. Assuming he's cleared to pitch against hitters after Friday's session, Sale could soon begin a minor-league rehab assignment.

Rodriguez exited Wednesday's outing after 5.2 scoreless innings when he showed some decreased velocity, but the initial diagnosis of back cramps should alleviate concerns of a serious injury. The 22-year-old is still scheduled to undergo additional testing, but it appears he's dealing with only a minor injury and shouldn't miss much time, if any.

Detmers won't start as scheduled Wednesday against the Yankees since the game was postponed due to inclement weather.

The game will be made up via a doubleheader Thursday, with Shohei Ohtani starting Game 1 and Detmers pitching in Game 2, per Sam Blum of The Athletic. Since throwing a no-hitter against the Rays on May 10, Detmers has given up eight runs across 9.2 frames in two starts .

Cortes won't start as scheduled Wednesday against the Angels since the game was postponed due to inclement weather.

The left-hander hasn't pitched since last Thursday, when he held Tampa Bay to one run over eight innings, and he'll have another day added to his rest between outings. The postponement will be made up via a doubleheader Thursday, with Cortes likely to start one of those contests.
