Manoah allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits and a walk with six strikeouts in seven innings in a no-decision versus the Red Sox on Wednesday.

Manoah was solid in this start, earning his 13th quality start in 15 turns this season. His biggest mistake was a two-run home run to Alex Verdugo in the sixth inning. Manoah owns a 2.09 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 85:19 K:BB across 94.2 innings overall as he continues to be one of the top pitchers in the majors. He'll resume his pursuit of his 10th win of the year in Oakland next week.

Bundy allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits and a walk with one strikeout in five innings in a no-decision versus the Guardians on Wednesday.

Bundy put too much traffic on base in the first and third innings, allowing the Guardians to cobble together runs with productive at-bats. Prior to this start, Bundy had allowed two runs over his previous 14 innings. The right-hander has a middling 4.71 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 47:13 K:BB through 65 innings across 13 starts overall. He's in line for a road start against the White Sox next week.

Quantrill allowed three runs on eight hits and no walks while striking out three in eight innings during Wednesday's 7-6 extra-inning win over the Twins. He did not factor in the decision.

Quantrill submitted his longest start of the season and his first quality start in his last three outings. The Twins did all their damage against him in the sixth inning with a two-run home run by Alex Kirilloff and a solo shot by Gio Urshela. Quantrill has remained a steady starter this year with a 3.72 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 51:25 K:BB through 84.2 innings. He's projected for a road start versus the Tigers next week.

Greinke (2-4) allowed one earned run on four hits and one walk while striking out three across six innings to earn the win Wednesday against the Rangers.

Greinke allowed multiple hitters to reach base in each of his first two innings of work. However, he settled in from there to retire 12 of the final 14 batters he faced. Greinke has made two starts since returning from the injured list June 24, combining to work 12 innings while allowing only two earned runs and posting a 7:1 K:BB. Overall, he has a 4.38 ERA across 63.2 innings for the campaign.

Irvin (2-6) took the loss Wednesday against the Yankees after surrendering five runs on six hits with five strikeouts and one walk in seven innings.

The 28-year-old produced his longest outing of the season Wednesday, but a two-run homer from Aaron Judge in the first inning and a three-run shot from Giancarlo Stanton in the third saddled the lefty with the loss. Irvin has lost his past four starts and tentatively projects for a tough matchup with the Blue Jays early next week.

Dunning (1-6) allowed two earned runs on six hits and three walks while striking out three across six innings to take the loss Wednesday against the Royals.

Dunning turned in his third quality start across his last four outings. He's managed just a 13:12 K:BB in that span but has overcome his lack of control and strikeouts. It remains to be seen if Dunning can continue to walk his tightrope of productivity, but he has managed to lower his ERA 4.09 on the season while maintaining a 77:32 K:BB across 88 frames.

Taillon (9-1) earned the win Wednesday against the A's after giving up three runs on seven hits across five innings. He had six strikeouts and two walks.

The veteran right-hander surrendered three runs on four hits during the opening frame, but he settled down from there and blanked Oakland for the following four innings. Taillon has won his past nine decisions since taking a loss Opening Day, and he lines up for a favorable matchup against his former team in Pittsburgh next week.

Verlander (10-3) allowed two hits and one walk while striking out six across eight scoreless innings to earn the win Wednesday against the Mets.

Verlander dueled with Taijuan Walker for the entirety of his outing but ultimately was able to earn his 10th win thanks to a Jason Castro home run in the ninth inning. While still not dominant in terms of strikeouts, Verlander saw an uptick as compared to his recent outings and also induced 15 swinging strikes on 101 total pitches. Verlander has allowed one or fewer earned runs in 10 of his 15 starts this season, which has resulted in a 2.03 ERA across 97.1 frames.

Flexen (4-8) picked up the win against the Orioles on Wednesday, allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out three.

Flexen now has a personal winning streak going for the first time this season. After an ugly month of May, Flexen pitched to a respectable 4.09 ERA in June. His 1.45 WHIP and 21:12 K:BB in 33 innings in the month of June bode poorly for his chances of enjoying a similar level of run prevention moving forward.

Manager Alex Cora said Wednesday the Red Sox are considering utilizing Whitlock (hip) out of the bullpen upon his return from the 15-day injured list, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

The 26-year-old landed is scheduled for a bullpen session Saturday before potentially starting a rehab assignment, per Cotillo, and once he's healthy, it appears Boston is leaning toward using him as a reliever. Whitlock made his first four appearances of the season out of the bullpen before moving into the rotation, and he has a 4.15 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 38:9 K:BB across 39 innings as a starter.
