The Tigers recalled Garcia from Triple-A Toledo ahead of his scheduled start Monday in Seattle.

Lefty Joey Wentz was demoted to the minors Sunday to clear a spot on the active roster for Garcia, who is set to make his fourth start of the season for Detroit. Over his previous three outings in the big leagues spanning 13.2 innings, Garcia was charged with five earned runs on nine hits and eight walks while striking out 11.

McCullers (illness) is on track to make his scheduled start Monday against the Phillies, MLB.com reports.

Barring a setback in his recovery from the illness while he's warming up Monday, McCullers looks poised to rejoin the rotation for what will be his final tune-up outing before the postseason. McCullers missed his last turn through the rotation last week against the Diamondbacks on account of the illness, with the 29-year-old right-hander losing some weight as a result of the ailment. He has since regained some strength and looks ready to go Monday, though the Astros could be cautious with his usage.

Flexen is scheduled to start the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader with the Tigers.

Since being dropped from the rotation in early August, Flexen has generated a 1.62 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 12:7 K:BB across 16.2 innings while picking up two saves along the way. Flexen's strong form over the last seven weeks should be enough for him to earn a spot on the Mariners' postseason roster as a reliever, but he'll be needed to temporarily step back into the rotation with the doubleheader creating a stretch of six games in five days. Given that he hasn't covered more than four innings in any appearance since moving to the bullpen, Flexen may not work deep enough into Tuesday's outing to factor into the decision.

Glasnow is scheduled to start Monday's game in Boston.

Glasnow made his return from the 60-day injured list last week and covered three innings in a no-decision against Cleveland, striking out three while allowing one earned run on two hits and one walk. With his surgically repaired elbow checking out fine following that 50-pitch outing, Glasnow will likely look to build up to around four or five innings Monday in his final start of the regular season. The Rays haven't yet determined if Glasnow will be a part of their postseason rotation, but at the very least, the right-hander should be in line to fill a key role out of the bullpen.

Ray (12-12) allowed six runs (five earned) on eight hits and three walks with three strikeouts in 5.2 innings, taking the loss Sunday versus the Athletics.

Ray started off well enough in this one, but he yielded homers to Shea Langeliers, Cristian Pache and Nick Allen between the fourth and sixth innings. This was the third time all year Ray's allowed three homers in a game, and he's given up multiple long balls in three of his last five outings. The southpaw didn't come close to matching his Cy Young season from a year ago, ending the 2022 regular season with a 3.71 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, 212:62 K:BB and 32 homers allowed across 189 innings through 32 starts. The Mariners will likely be counting on him to get things sorted out in his next start, which is expected to be during the wild-card round.

Kaprielian (5-9) earned the win Sunday over the Mariners, allowing just one hit and two walks while striking out seven over six scoreless innings.

Kaprielian had his ups and downs in 2022, but he finished the year with four consecutive quality starts, allowing just five runs over his last 25 innings. The right-hander's poor record is mostly a product of the team around him, as he finished the year with a serviceable 4.23 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 98:59 K:BB over 134 innings across 26 starts. It was a step back from 2021, but Kaprielian should be penciled into the Athletics' 2023 rotation, as the team is unlikely to make a big splash in free agency early in its rebuild.

Bradish yielded one unearned run on three hits and five walks over five innings against the Yankees on Sunday. He struck out five and did not factor in the decision.

Bradish needed 99 pitches (58 strikes) to get through five frames, and he didn't get credited for the win after the Orioles took the lead in the seventh inning. The 26-year-old righty bounced back well after getting crushed for seven runs in his last outing against Boston. He finished his rookie year with a 4.90 ERA and a 111:46 K:BB through 23 starts. Since returning to the mound in late July after a shoulder injury, Bradish registered a 3.28 ERA across 71.1 frames.

Lynn (8-7) earned the win during Sunday's 2-1 victory over San Diego, allowing one run on five hits and one walk with five strikeouts in seven innings.

Lynn faced minor threats in the second and fourth innings but was able to keep San Diego off the board until the seventh, when Ha-Seong Kim tagged him for a solo shot, and departed in line for his eighth win. The 35-year-old finished the campaign strong with a 2.43 ERA in 74 innings across his final 12 starts after submitting a subpar 6.42 mark through his first nine turns of the season. He concludes 2022 with a 3.99 ERA and 1.14 WHIP with 124 strikeouts in 121.2 innings across 21 starts.

McGee allowed one unearned run on four hits and no walks while striking out one over three innings in Sunday's 3-1 loss against Houston.

In his major-league debut, McGee entered the game in the sixth inning with the Rays down 2-1 and pitched well. He surrendered just one unearned run on a Jonathan Aranda throwing error and a Jeremy Pena base hit in the seventh inning. McGee may get one or two more looks before the end of the regular season, but it is unclear whether he will make it onto the playoff roster.

Kluber (10-10) took the loss Sunday, allowing two runs on six hits and one walk over five innings against the Astros. He struck out four.

Jose Altuve led off the game against Kluber with a bunt single, and Jeremy Pena followed with a two-run homer on a first-pitch cutter. Kluber held the Astros scoreless through five innings after that point, but the damage was enough to saddle him with his 10th loss on the season. The 2022 campaign was much of a bounceback campaign for the veteran, as his 164 innings pitched were the most he's thrown since he logged five consecutive seasons of 200 or more innings from 2014 to 2018. He finishes with a 4.34 ERA on the season.
