Montas (5-12) took the loss to the Rays on Friday, allowing four runs on nine hits while striking out four and walking four over 5.2 innings.

Montas had an ugly game against the Rays on Friday, allowing 13 baserunners on nine hits and four walks. He was inefficient, tossing 63 of 106 pitches for strikes across 5.2 frames. Although he gave up four runs, none were via the long ball. Instead, Montas was burned by three doubles that scored all four runs. This was the eighth time in his last 10 games where the righty failed to make it to the end of the sixth inning and he has not earned a quality start since June 28. Friday's performance raised his ERA to 3.89.

Rasmussen (10-4) earned the win against the Yankees on Friday, allowing no runs on six hits while striking out 10 and walking none over six innings.

Rasmussen tossed a six-inning gem Friday, throwing 68 of 94 pitches for strikes and stranding six Yankees baserunners. In typical Tampa fashion, it has been very careful with his innings, as Rasmussen has finished the sixth inning only seven times in 24 starts. The righty earned a quality start in each game where he has lasted through the sixth inning or longer, including Friday's win over the Yanks. The 10 strikeouts marks a single-game season high for Rasmussen, who will take a 2.57 ERA into his next appearance.

McCullers (3-1) gave up two earned runs on four hits and a walk while striking out six over seven innings to earn the win in a 4-3 victory over the Angels on Friday.

McCullers continued to impress since coming off the injured list with a flexor tendon strain in August. He handled the Angles with ease, racking up 15 whiffs thanks in part to a nasty inside slider to right-handed hitters that broke back over the plate with plenty of movement. The only damage came on a two-run home run to Mike Trout, who has been on fire as of late. McCullers will carry an excellent ERA of 2.20 into a favorable start next week that tentatively lines him up for a meeting with the Athletics.

Lorenzen gave up one earned run on three hits and four walks while striking out two in a 4-3 loss to the Astros on Friday. He did not factor into the decision.

Lorenzen held his own against the dangerous Astros lineup, making it into the sixth inning before giving up his first and only earned run on a solo shot by Jeremy Pena. The four walks issued by Lorenzen are a sign that he might still be a little rusty after just coming off of the 60-day injured list due to a shoulder injury. Lorenzen was forced to settle for a no-decision and tallied only his 57th strikeout of the year in 76.2 innings pitched. The 30-year-old right-hander will carry an ERA of 4.70 into his next expected start against the Mariners.

Quantrill (12-5) gave up two runs (one earned) on nine hits and one walk while striking out seven over five innings to earn the win in a 7-6 victory over the Twins on Friday.

Quantrill came through for his team in an intense divisional game with playoff implications. The 27-year-old right-hander gave up nine hits, but he kept the ball in the yard and lasted just long enough to earn the win on 96 pitches. The seven strikeouts are tied for his season high and he lowered his ERA to a respectable 3.50 with the performance. He will carry a WHIP of 1.22 into his next expected start against the Angels.

Bundy (8-7) gave up seven earned runs on 12 hits and no walks while striking out one over 4.2 innings to take the loss in a 7-6 defeat against the Guardians on Friday.

Bundy's start got off on the wrong foot, as two runners quickly reached base on a couple of cheap infield singles. The Guardians made Bundy pay by cashing them in as part of a big four-run first inning. Ultimately, Bundy gave up three home runs on 94 pitches, including two off the bat of Oscar Gonzalez. Bundy's ERA rose to 4.68 with the appearance. He tossed five scoreless innings his last time out against the White Sox and can be an effective streamer when matched up against the right opposition, but he didn't have what it takes in this intense high-stakes divisional contest. He is expected to take the bump next week against the Royals.

Ray (12-9) took the loss during Friday's 6-4 defeat to Atlanta, allowing four runs on eight hits with six strikeouts in five innings.

Ray fell behind 2-0 two batters into the game thanks to a Dansby Swanson home run and surrendered additional runs in the fourth and fifth to fall in line for the loss. The 30-year-old induced a healthy 13 swinging strikes on 95 pitches in recording six strikeouts, though he's failed to surpass that total in consecutive outings after doing so in all five of his August starts. The subpar start upped Ray's ERA and WHIP to 3.56 and 1.15, respectively. He's scheduled to pitch again next weekend versus the Angels.

Giolito didn't factor into the decision during Friday's 5-3 win against Oakland, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks with six strikeouts in six innings.

Giolito surrendered one run on three baserunners in the first inning and two more on three hits in the fifth to fall in line for the loss until Chicago rallied with five runs in the ninth inning. Aside from the first and fifth, the 28-year-old faced the minimum and recorded an impressive 19 swinging strikes on 96 pitches. The quality start was Giolito's second in 10 turns, and he still possesses a high 5.18 ERA and 1.49 WHIP across 139 innings and 26 starts. He lines up to start again in Cleveland midweek.

Bello (1-5) allowed three runs on three hits and four walks over 5.1 innings Friday, striking out seven and taking a loss against the Orioles.

Bello looked terrific through five shutout frames before running into trouble in the sixth. He loaded the bases and was charged with all three runs after being removed from the game. His seven punchouts tied a career best set Aug. 24 against Toronto. The right-handed rookie slightly lowered his ERA to 5.79 with a 36:20 K:BB through 37.1 innings. Bello is projected to face the Yankees at home next week.

Glasnow (elbow) will make another rehab start Tuesday with Triple-A Durham, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Glasnow came through his first rehab outing without issue, and he will throw again six days after that appearance. The right-hander threw only 19 pitches his last time out, and Glasnow could return in a relief role for the Rays before the season ends.
