Raya has a 2.61 ERA and a 20:5 K:BB ratio in 20.2 innings at High-A Cedar Rapids. He's made seven starts, but he's been limited to three-inning outings as the Twins try to manage his workload, MLB.com reports.

A 2020 fourth-round pick, Raya didn't pitch in 2021 due to a shoulder strain and the Twins limited him to 65 innings in 2022. He began the 2023 season on the injured list after experiencing shoulder tightness during spring training, but he returned in early April. It sounds like the Twins are going to be very careful with his workload the rest of the season given the sparse amount of innings he's logged the past three years.

Kaprielian (1-6) earned the win Tuesday, allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits and five walks over six innings against the Pirates. He struck out one.

Kaprielian received ample run support from the Oakland offense, which hung 11 runs on the Pirates as the 29-year-old picked up his first win of the season. He matched his season best in earned runs allowed as a starter and also set a season low with just one strikeout. Through eight starts this year he has a 6.59 ERA and 36:25 K:BB across 42 innings. He'll have a tough matchup in his next start, which is tentatively scheduled to come against the Rays early next week.

Schmidt (2-6) took the loss Tuesday, allowing three runs on six hits over six innings against the White Sox. He struck out one.

Though Schmidt fell to his sixth loss of the season, he managed to lock down his second quality start of the campaign, allowing three runs across six frames. He never had a chance for the win, as the Yankees' offense failed to record a hit until the seventh inning. Tuesday's outing added to an already impressive stretch of starts for Schmidt, who touts a 2.49 ERA and an 18:5 K/BB across his last four appearances (21.2 innings).

Roby was placed on the 7-day injured list at Double-A Frisco on Tuesday. He left Friday's game due to an apparent shoulder injury, FanSided.com reports.

Roby had some prospect buzz after posting a 2.45 ERA with a 14.3 K/9 in 2022 at Low-A. He took a step back last year with a 4.73 ERA and 10.9 K/9, but he still had strong strikeout rates. He'd been displaying a decent strikeout rate this year at Double-A with a 4.68 ERA and 9.6 K/9 in 42.1 innings before the injury.

Giolito (5-4) earned the win Tuesday, allowing three walks over six scoreless innings against the Yankees. He struck out seven.

Giolito stumped the Yankees on Tuesday, holding them hitless through six innings but was pulled after throwing 100 pitches. The no-hit bid was quickly spoiled in the seventh, as Joe Kelly allowed an RBI double to Isiah Kiner-Falefa. Tuesday's outing marked Giolito's first start without allowing a run since April 18, while he also tallied more than six punchouts for the first time in five starts. Though Giolito hasn't been able to match his impressive stats from years prior, he has undoubtedly been serviceable in 2023, owning a 3.75 ERA and 1.20 WHIP to pair with a 76:24 K/BB through 13 appearances (74.1 innings). He's expected to take on the Marlins at home for his next start.

Varland (3-2) took the loss Tuesday, allowing seven runs on six hits and four walks over six innings against the Rays. He struck out five.

Varland held the Rays off the board for three innings before surrendering three in the fourth. He'd allow four more runs over his final three-plus innings en route to his second loss. The 25-year-old Varland had logged quality starts in five of his first seven outings. His ERA is now up to 4.40 with a 1.21 WHIP and 44:12 K:BB through eight starts (47 innings) this season. Varland will look to bounce back in his next start, currently scheduled for next week in Toronto.

Cortes (shoulder) told reporters Tuesday that he will be shut down from throwing for 15 days, Pete Caldera of The Bergen Record reports.

Cortes will be placed on the 15-day injured list with inflammation in his left shoulder after feeling a twinge in a start against the Angels in which he threw 101 pitches. He received a cortisone shot in the shoulder Tuesday, and he'll be evaluated by the team after 10 days, Max Goodman of The Newark Star-Ledger reports. The left-hander will likely need to throw several bullpens and make a rehab start or two before he's ready to return to the Yankees' rotation. That likely puts him out throughout the month of June with a chance to return to the rotation in the early part of July at the earliest.

Eflin (8-1) earned the win Tuesday, allowing three hits and a walk over 6.2 scoreless innings against Minnesota. He struck out nine.

The Twins had no answer for Eflin on Tuesday, who logged nine or more strikeouts for the third time this season. The 29-year-old Eflin improves to 7-0 at Tropicana Field with a 1.85 ERA while pitching to a 5.09 mark on the road. Overall, his ERA sits at an impressive 2.97 with a 0.96 WHIP and 66:9 K:BB through 11 starts (66.2 innings). Eflin's scheduled for another home start next week when the Rays host the Rangers.

Greinke (1-6) took the loss Tuesday, allowing five runs (four earned) on four hits over 4.1 innings in a 6-1 loss against the Marlins. He struck out three.

Greinke held the Marlins hitless through four innings until Jesus Sanchez led off the fifth with a homer. Miami would tack on four more runs in the inning, handing Greinke his sixth loss. The 39-year-old right-hander had been pitching well coming into Tuesday's outing, posting a 2.30 ERA over his previous six starts. Greinke now sports a 4.59 ERA with a 1.13 WHIP and an impressive 50:9 K:BB through 13 starts (66.2 innings) this season.

Mariners general manager Justin Hollander said Tuesday that Woo will remain in the big-league rotation for the time being, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Woo struggled mightily in his MLB debut against the Rangers last Saturday, allowing seven runs in just two innings. With Marco Gonzales (forearm) on the shelf and Tommy Milone (shoulder) on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A Tacoma, the Mariners will give one of the top prospects in their system at least one more chance to prove he's big-league ready. Divish notes that Woo is tentatively lined up to make his next start Saturday versus the Angels. The ability to miss bats that Woo showed in the minors makes him an intriguing long-term bet, but he'll carry some risk as a streaming option in redraft leagues.
