Bello improved to 4-4 in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Yankees in the second game of a doubleheader, striking out eight while allowing one run on four hits and three walks over seven innings.

Bello yielded a run in the first inning before settling in for a dominant performance. He struck out a career-high eight batters while tying his season best with 16 whiffs. After coughing up eight runs over his first two starts, Bello has given up three or fewer runs in nine straight starts, registering a 2.60 ERA during that span. The second-year righty now owns a 3.49 ERA and a 57:20 K:BB through 59.1 frames. Bello's next outing is lined up to be a road matchup with the White Sox.

Miller (5-3) allowed one run on four hits over seven innings Sunday, striking out six and earning a win over the White Sox.

Miller rolled through five shutout frames before the White Sox finally broke through with a run in the sixth inning. After coughing up 15 runs in a pair of losses, the right-handed rookie has allowed just two runs over 13 innings in his last two appearances. His season ERA is back down to 3.68 with a 45:8 K:BB across 51.1 frames. Miller's next start is projected to be in Baltimore.

Lynn recorded a career-high 16 strikeouts but dropped to 4-8 on the season in Sunday's 5-1 loss to Seattle after allowing three runs on four hits and two walks over seven-plus innings.

Lynn turned in his most impressive outing of the season -- and his 16 punchouts represented the highest total of any pitcher in 2023 -- but he was still saddled with his third straight loss. He forced an unbelievable 33 whiffs on 114 pitches while recording his third double-digit strikeout performance of the year. The veteran righty lowered his ERA to 6.51 with a 102:33 K:BB through 84.1 frames this season. Lynn's next outing is currently lined up to be at home against Boston.

Greinke (1-7) took the loss Sunday, allowing four runs on eight hits and one walk over five innings against the Angels. He struck out four.

Greinke fell victim to the Angels superstar duo, serving up back-to-back home runs to Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout in the fifth inning. Though Greinke owns a 4.81 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 1.6 HR/9, he has issued just 10 free passes through 15 starts (76.2 innings), the fourth fewest of any starter with at least eight starts. He's lined up to make his next appearance during a four-game road series against the Rays next week.

Bibee (3-2) earned the win over the Diamondbacks on Sunday, allowing three runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out six over five innings.

After a disastrous start Tuesday versus the Padres, it was good to see Bibee submit a decent effort. It still wasn't very efficient -- he needed 105 pitches (65 strikes) to complete five frames -- but he had plenty of support from the Guardians' offense. Bibee now has a 4.05 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 51:17 K:BB over 53.1 innings through his first 10 major-league starts. He's not dominating opponents, but he's done enough to hold down a spot at the back end of the rotation. Bibee's next start is projected to be at home versus the Brewers.

Anderson (4-1) earned the win Sunday, allowing two runs on six hits and one walk over five innings against the Royals. He struck out six.

Anderson bounced back from a poor stretch of starts, giving up just two runs over five innings of work after allowing four or more runs in each of his last three starts. Through 13 appearances (68.2 innings), Anderson sports a 5.64 ERA and a 4.06 BB/9 but has given up just three home runs over his last 10 starts. He's tentatively scheduled to make his next start against the Rockies at Coors Field.

Chirinos (3-2) took the loss Sunday versus the Padres, allowing five runs (three earned) on six hits and two walks while striking out three over 4.2 innings.

Chirinos made his third start of the year but wasn't able to replicate his success from his previous outing. The right-hander didn't get help from his defense Sunday, and he needed 90 pitches (52 strikes) to get 14 outs. He's now at a 2.72 ERA, 1.02 WHIP And 20:14 K:BB through 43 innings over 10 appearances. Chirinos has occasionally worked behind an opener this season, which would likely help him qualify for more wins. He's projected to make his next appearance at home versus the Royals in a favorable matchup.

Schmidt did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing two runs on five hits and three walks over 4.2 innings against Boston. He struck out three.

Schmidt was solid through his first four innings, working around traffic to hold Boston off the board. However, he'd surrender two runs in the fifth before the Yankees turned to the bullpen. Still, the 27-year-old Schmidt has looked better after a rough start to the year. He's pitched to a 2.56 ERA with 25:8 K:BB across his last six outings (31.2 innings). Overall, Schmidt's 2-6 with a 4.65 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 73:22 K:BB through 15 starts (71.2 innings) this season.

Kremer (8-3) earned the win Sunday against the Cubs after he allowed three runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out seven.

The right-hander surrendered two homers Sunday, but Christopher Morel's two-run homer in the fourth inning was unearned due to a two-out error. It's the second straight victory for Kremer, who has allowed fewer than three runs and covered at least five frames in eight of his past nine starts. He'll carry a 4.56 ERA into his next outing, which is likely to come next weekend versus Seattle.

Houston optioned Bielak to Triple-A Sugar Land on Sunday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Bielak was once again ineffective in his outing Saturday, allowing five runs (four earned) on five hits over 4.2 innings versus the Reds. The right-hander will get a chance to iron things out at the minor-league level, and Houston recalled Shawn Dubin from Sugar Land in a corresponding transaction.
