Kikuchi (0-2) took the loss against Atlanta on Tuesday, allowing four runs on six hits and one walk while striking out eight batters over five innings.

Kikuchi was handed a two-run lead in the first inning, but he couldn't hang onto it. Atlanta tagged the right-hander for a run in the second, but it was the fourth inning that really did him in, as Kikuchi gave up three runs on three hits and a walk in that frame. The outing wasn't entirely disastrous for Kikuchi -- he managed to rack up 15 whiffs and a season-high eight punchouts -- but he's now 0-2 with a poor 6.75 ERA through three starts. He'll try to turn things around in his next outing, though he's in line for a tough matchup in New York against the Yankees.

Burrows (1-2) took the loss against Colorado on Tuesday, pitching 5.1 innings during which he allowed three runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out three batters.

Burrows' big mistake was serving up a two-run homer to Willi Castro in the fourth inning. Aside from that, he scattered several hits but benefitted from two double plays and gave up just one additional run. However, Houston eked out just one run of support, sending Burrows to his second loss through three starts. The right-hander will carry a 5.63 ERA and 15:6 K:BB across 16 innings into his next outing, which is tentatively scheduled to come against the Mariners in Seattle.

Skubal (1-2) took the loss against the Twins on Tuesday, allowing four runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out seven across 4.2 innings.

Skubal opened things up by striking out four of the first seven batters he faced. He kept the Twins off the board through four frames, but things fell apart for the reigning AL Cy Young winner in the fifth, when he yielded four runs on three hits and two walks before being pulled. Skubal gave up just one earned run through his first two starts of the season, so Tuesday's outing can be considered a blip on the radar for the 29-year-old southpaw. He still generated 19 whiffs while recording 65 strikes on 95 pitches (68.4 percent). Skubal's next start is tentatively slated for this weekend at home against the Marlins.

MRI results on deGrom's right knee came back negative Tuesday, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

DeGrom left his start Monday after feeling tenderness in his right knee, but testing has determined that he didn't suffer any structural damage and isn't facing an extended absence. The Rangers will have him throw a bullpen session in the next couple of days to see how he feels, but he's still expected to make his next start, which is lined up to come against the Dodgers in Los Angeles.

Bradley (2-0) came away with the win against the Tigers on Tuesday, allowing one run on six hits while striking out 10 across 6.1 innings. He did not issue a walk.

Bradley set the tone by striking out the first two batters he faced, and he struck out at least one batter in each of the next six frames. He was tagged with an earned run after Parker Meadows came around to score in the seventh, but that was the only blemish in an outstanding start for Bradley, who generated 15 whiffs while logging 68 strikes on 104 pitches (65.4 percent). Bradley has logged back-to-back quality starts and has yielded only two runs while striking out 22 batters across 16.2 innings to open the season. He's slated to start this weekend on the road against the Blue Jays.

Kirby (1-2) took the loss against the Rangers on Tuesday, allowing three runs on six hits while striking out four across eight innings. He did not issue a walk.

Kirby ended up being the only pitcher deployed by the Mariners during Tuesday's game, tossing 68 strikes in 90 pitches (75.6 percent) while inducing 12 groundouts. He kept the Rangers off the board for the majority of his start but gave up three runs in the fifth inning, including a two-run homer to Kyle Higashioka that was enough for Kirby to take the loss since his teammates failed to generate any more runs. Kirby has recorded a quality start in each of his first three appearances of the season and has a 3.60 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 16:5 K:BB across 20 innings. He'll look to get back in the win column in his next start, which is slated for next week at home against the Astros.

Eovaldi (1-2) earned the win in Tuesday's game against the Mariners, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out seven across six innings.

Eovaldi struggled in his first two starts of the season, taking the loss in both outings while allowing 11 runs on 16 hits and three walks over 8.2 innings. It looked to be more of the same Tuesday after he yielded a home run to Brendan Donovan on the first pitch of the game, but Eovaldi settled in after that. He retired nine of the next 10 batters he faced and ended his night with 22 whiffs on 93 pitches (60 strikes), coming away with the win after the Rangers tacked on three runs in the fifth. Eovaldi is slated to make his next start next week on the road against the Athletics.

Gausman (0-1) took the loss against the Dodgers on Tuesday, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out five across 5.1 innings.

Gausman wasn't as sharp Tuesday as he was in his first two starts of the season, as he struck out 21 batters across his first 12 innings this season, yielding just one run and zero walks. He was pulled in the sixth Tuesday after giving up two singles in the inning, ending his quality start streak at two games, though he was limited to three earned runs on the day after Mason Fluharty stranded the pair of runners. Gausman has posted a 2.08 ERA and 0.58 WHIP across 17.1 innings this season, and he'll look for his first win of 2026 in his next start, which is tentatively slated for next week on the road against the Brewers.

Scarborough (melanoma) will likely report to High-A Hub City at the start of May, Jim Callis of MLB Pipeline reports.

Scarborough is building up innings in extended spring training after undergoing surgery in February to remove a melanoma. He was comically good in three starts at High-A to close 2025, striking out 19 while issuing two walks over 13 scoreless innings. Scarborough, who turned 21 at the beginning of April, could get a midseason bump to Double-A if he picks up where he left off last year for the Spartanburgers.

McGraw is working his way back from right elbow issues, Jonathan Mayo of MLB Pipeline reports.

McGraw's inability to stay healthy has defined his pro career thus far. Selected in the third round of the 2023 draft, McGraw has thrown just 37 innings in pro ball due to consistent elbow injuries -- he had Tommy John surgery in 2019 and internal brace in 2023.
