  • Liam Hendriks RP | MIN

Red Sox's Liam Hendriks: Moved to 60-day IL

The Red Sox transferred Hendriks (hip) to the 60-day injured list Tuesday.

According to Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com, Hendriks recently suffered a setback with his right hip injury and is seeking a second opinion. He's been out since late May and now won't be eligible for activation until late July. The move frees a 40-man roster spot for the addition of Isaiah Campbell.

  • Red Sox's Isaiah Campbell: Contract selected

The Red Sox selected Campbell's contract from Triple-A Worcester on Tuesday.

Campbell holds a 3.89 ERA and 33:11 K:BB over 39.1 frames this season with Worcester. The 27-year-old will give Boston a fresh bullpen arm.

  • Alexis Diaz RP | TEX

Dodgers' Alexis Diaz: Poised for Dodgers debut

The Dodgers are expected to call up Diaz from Triple-A Oklahoma City ahead of Tuesday's game against the Brewers, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

The former Reds closer was acquired by the Dodgers in late May and has made just six appearances for Oklahoma City since being traded, giving up five earned runs with a 3:7 K:BB over 4.2 innings. Diaz should fill a low-leverage role early on for the Dodgers but could work his way into higher-leverage spots. However, the 28-year-old's recent body of work at Triple-A doesn't provide much evidence that he's rediscovered his All-Star form.

  • Zach Pop RP | PHI

Mets' Zach Pop: DFA'd by Mets

The Mets designated Pop for assignment on Tuesday.

The right-hander inked a major-league contract with New York at the start of July after being cut loose by Seattle, but the Mets also decided to move on after just one appearance. Pop gave up three runs over 1.1 innings during his brief time in Queens and has surrendered 11 earned runs across 6.2 frames overall in the majors this year.

  • Mets' Junior Fernandez: Inks minors deal with Mets

The Mets signed Fernandez to a minor-league contract Tuesday.

Fernandez had been at Triple-A Omaha in the Royals organization, where he held a 4.93 ERA and 53:26 K:BB over 38.1 frames. The 28-year-old hasn't seen any action at the big-league level since 2022 but will give the Mets some experienced relief depth at Triple-A Syracuse.

  • Ian Seymour P | TB

Rays' Ian Seymour: Back in majors

The Rays recalled Seymour from Triple-A Durham on Tuesday.

Seymour received his first taste of the majors in June and was sent back to Durham after covering two scoreless frames in his big-league debut. The left-hander has a 2.62 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 104:20 K:BB across 86 innings as a starter at Triple-A this season, though he's likely to work out of the bullpen while up with Tampa Bay.

  • Paul Gervase P | LAD

Rays' Paul Gervase: Demoted to Triple-A

The Rays optioned Gervase to Triple-A Durham on Tuesday.

Gervase made five relief appearances during his time on the Rays' active roster, permitting three runs on three solo home runs across 6.1 innings. Tampa Bay recalled Ian Seymour from Triple-A to replace Gervase in the bullpen.

  • Nationals' Orlando Ribalta: Starting rehab assignment

The Nationals sent Ribalta (biceps) to Double-A Harrisburg on Tuesday to begin a rehab assignment, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.

Ribalta has been sidelined since mid-April with a right biceps strain but has been cleared for rehab games following a lengthy absence. Given how long he's been out, Ribalta is likely to require a fairly long rehab assignment before being considered for reinstatement from the 15-day injured list.

  • Shelby Miller RP | CHC

Diamondbacks' Shelby Miller: Getting MRI for forearm

Arizona manager Torey Lovullo said after Monday's 6-3 win over the Padres that Miller (forearm) is scheduled to undergo an MRI, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.com reports.

Miller wasn't known to be nursing an injury before the Diamondbacks surprisingly placed him on the 15-day injured list Monday due to a right forearm strain. The extent of the injury won't be fully known until his MRI results are in, but Lovullo noted that his concern level for Miller was "not low, something right in the middle." Before hitting the shelf, Miller had settled in as the Diamondbacks' closer after A.J. Puk (elbow) and Justin Martinez (elbow) required season-ending Tommy John surgeries, notching 10 saves while compiling a 1.98 ERA and 0.96 WHIP over 36.1 innings. While Miller was out Monday, Kevin Ginkel stepped in to notch the save, though Lovullo suggested that the Diamondbacks' closer situation will be dictated by matchups until Miller returns, per Jody Jackson of Bally Sports Arizona.

  • Paxton Schultz RP | WAS

Blue Jays' Paxton Schultz: Playing catch

Schultz (finger) has begun playing catch from 60 feet, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

The righty reliever was shut down in late June due to finger inflammation. Schultz likely won't need a rehab assignment before coming off the IL, giving him a chance to be activated right after the All-Star break, but it's not clear if there will be a spot for him in the big-league bullpen once he's healthy.
