  • Mets' Justin Hagenman: Returned to Syracuse

The Mets optioned Hagenman to Triple-A Syracuse on Friday.

Hagenman will surrender his spot on the 26-man roster to Kodai Senga (hamstring), who has been activated from the injured list. In four MLB appearances this season, Hagenman has posted a 5.11 ERA and a 13:1 K:BB across 12.1 innings.

  • Carlos Vargas RP | SEA

Mariners' Carlos Vargas: Placed on paternity list

The Mariners placed Vargas on the paternity list Friday.

The All-Star break begins Monday, so it's likely Vargas will have the full weekend off for personal reasons before returning to the team when the schedule resumes. Seattle recalled Tayler Saucedo from Triple-A Tacoma in a corresponding move.

  • Tayler Saucedo RP | LAA

Mariners' Tayler Saucedo: Back in big leagues

The Mariners recalled Saucedo from Triple-A Tacoma on Friday.

The 32-year-old will take Carlos Vargas' spot on the active roster as Vargas heads to the paternity list. Saucedo has a 3.38 ERA in 10 appearances with Tacoma, but he's yielded four runs in 3.2 innings with the Mariners in 2025. He hasn't been on the active roster since late April.

  • Noah Davis SP | PIT

Dodgers' Noah Davis: Designated for assignment

The Dodgers designated Davis for assignment Friday.

The right-hander was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City last weekend and will now lose his place on Los Angeles' 40-man roster. Davis surrendered 13 earned runs over six innings across his five outings with the Dodgers this season.

  • Joey Wentz SP | ATL

Braves' Joey Wentz: Claimed by Atlanta

Atlanta claimed Wentz off waivers Friday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Wentz was designated for assignment by the Twins on Wednesday, and he'll get a fresh start. He replaces Kevin Herget on the 40-man roster. Wentz has appeared in 25 MLB games this season, 19 with Pittsburgh and six with Minnesota. He's posted a 6.88 ERA and a 28:20 K:BB across 34 total innings.

  • Padres' Adrian Morejon: Picks up seventh win

Morejon (7-3) earned the win over Arizona on Thursday, allowing one hit and walking one batter while notching two strikeouts over 1.2 scoreless innings.

Starter Randy Vasquez lasted just 4.1 frames, and Morejon took over with two Diamondbacks on base and one out in the fifth. The left-hander got out of the jam by striking out Josh Naylor and getting Eugenio Suarez to pop out, then tossed a scoreless sixth despite allowing two baserunners. Morejon was credited with the win -- his seventh of the campaign, most among MLB relief pitchers -- as the Padres held on to claim a 4-3 victory. While bullpen mates Robert Suarez and Jason Adam are going to the All-Star Game for their first-half accomplishments, there's an argument to be made that Morejon is just as deserving. In addition to the seven wins, he's posted a dominant 1.71 ERA and 0.83 WHIP along with a 39:9 K:BB while notching two saves and 12 holds over 45 appearances spanning 42 innings.

  • Nic Enright RP | CLE

Guardians' Nic Enright: Up for doubleheader

Enright will serve as the Guardians' 27th player for Friday's doubleheader against the White Sox, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Enright will provide a fresh arm for Cleveland's bullpen, marking his second MLB stint of the season. In 11 appearances with the Guardians this season, the righty owns a 2.08 ERA and an 11:7 K:BB across 13 innings. He'll likely head back to Triple-A Columbus after Friday's nightcap.

  • DL Hall RP | MIL

    Brewers' DL Hall: Opening Friday

Hall will serve as an opener ahead of Quinn Priester for Friday's game against the Nationals, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Hall will make his third start of the season. The southpaw threw three innings in each of his other two appearances as an opener. The 26-year-old has completed at least two innings in seven of his 10 appearances in 2025 and has thrown five consecutive perfect innings.

  • Fraser Ellard RP | CHW

White Sox's Fraser Ellard: Rejoins bullpen

The White Sox recalled Ellard from Triple-A Charlotte to serve as their 27th man for Friday's doubleheader versus the Guardians.

Ellard will rejoin the White Sox for the first time since early May, after being reinstated from the 60-day IL and optioned to Charlotte on July 4. During his time at Triple-A this season, Ellard hasn't shown an ability to curb his walks (17.3 BB% in 11 innings), so the White Sox may not be eager to deploy him in high-leverage spots. He'll likely be returned to Charlotte once the twin bill concludes.

  • Austin Warren RP | NYM

Mets' Austin Warren: Heads back to Triple-A

The Mets optioned Warren to Triple-A Syracuse on Friday.

Warren was returned to the minors after he served as the 27th man for the Mets' doubleheader with the Orioles on Thursday. He appeared in relief in the first game of the day, retiring the lone batter he faced.
