Martinez served as the Padres' opening pitcher in Sunday's 10-1 win over the Athletics, taking a no-decision while striking out five and allowing one hit and no walks over three scoreless innings.

Martinez allowed a first-inning single to Zack Gelof but otherwise put the clamps on the Oakland offense. The three innings and 40 pitches represented Martinez's heaviest workload since he tossed 59 pitches in an Aug. 19 appearance. Pedro Avila came on behind Martinez to toss three shutout innings in bulk relief, and the two could be deployed in tandem again during the Padres' series next weekend versus St. Louis. After the sterling outing Sunday, Martinez now has a 3.73 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 95:35 K:BB in 101.1 innings on the season.

Rogers retired the only batter he faced to pick up his second save of the year in an 11-10 win over the Rockies on Sunday.

The Giants entered the ninth inning with a five-run lead and wound up escaping with the win after a fielding error by Camilo Doval extended the game. Rogers wound up replacing Doval with a man on first to face Charlie Blackmon and got him to line out to end the game. Rogers has given up four runs in 4.2 innings pitched in September but also has picked up a save and a hold in six appearances. Overall, Rogers has a 3.06 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, 60:24 K:BB, 12 holds and two saves in 50 innings this year.

Manaea (6-6) earned the win Sunday against the rockies, allowing three runs (two earned) on eight hits and no walks while striking out three over 5.1 innings.

Manaea allowed just two baserunners to reach scoring position through the first five innings but couldn't keep the strong effort going into the sixth. He began the frame with a strikeout but then proceeded to allow a single, a home run and another single before being replaced by John Brebbia, who gave up another three more runs. Though only his last two outings have come as starts, Manaea had not given up more than four hits in an outing since July 22, but he's also given up fewer than three earned runs in each of his last five appearances. The 31-year-old now owns a 4.73 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 118:42 K:BB in 104 innings. He figures to stick in the starting rotation to close out the year and lines up to make his next start on the road against the Dodgers.

Helsley pitched a scoreless ninth while allowing a hit, a walk and striking out two en route to his 11th save of the year.

Helsley pitched himself out of some slight trouble after the Phillies had men on first and second with one out. The 28-year-old has returned to old form since coming off the injured list, allowing just two hits and owning a 10:3 K:BB over seven scoreless frames while picking up four saves over the last eight days.

Hall (2-0) pitched a perfect inning to earn the extra-innings win over the Rays on Sunday.

A groundout allowed the initial runner in the 11th inning to reach third base, but Hall didn't let anyone aboard. The Orioles then walked it off with a Cedric Mullins sacrifice fly in their half of the frame. Hall allowed three runs and failed to record an out Friday versus the Rays, but he's kept runs off the board in four of his last five appearances. He's at a 4.85 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 16:5 K:BB through 13 innings this season.

Diaz served as the opener in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Angels, allowing a hit and a walk in a scoreless inning of work. He struck out one.

Diaz got into a little bit of trouble but managed to extend his scoreless streak to seven appearances since joining Detroit's roster at the beginning of this month. The righty doesn't have a ton of fantasy appeal at the moment, though he could earn a role in the team's 2024 bullpen if he continues to pitch well down the stretch.

Bradford (4-2) yielded six runs on seven hits over three-plus innings Sunday, striking out two and taking a loss against Cleveland.

Bradford looked strong through three shutout frames before a disastrous fourth inning. He coughed up six straight hits and was charged with six runs during the Guardians' nine-run frame. Bradford was riding a 7.1-inning scoreless streak entering Sunday but saw his ERA jump to 4.65 through 50.1 innings.

Yarbrough (8-6) earned the win Sunday over the Mariners, allowing one run on five hits and two walks while striking out seven over 4.2 innings.

Yarbrough was recently away from the team to attend the birth of his daughter, though he was not officially placed on the paternity list. He was strong in his return, with the lone misstep being a J.P. Crawford RBI single in the second inning. Yarbrough has pitched to a 2.90 ERA with a 1.00 WHIP and 31:3 K:BB over 31 innings since he was traded from the Royals to the Dodgers. He's found success as a bulk reliever and will likely continue in that role. Given his typical schedule, he should be available again for his next appearance during next weekend's four-game series against the Giants.

Rosenberg (1-2) allowed five runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out five over five innings to take the loss versus the Tigers on Sunday.

Jimmy Herget tossed a perfect inning as the opener, but Rosenberg quickly ran into trouble after entering in the second inning. Jake Rogers took Rosenberg deep twice between the second and third frames, accounting for all but one of the runs on the southpaw's line. Through five appearances spanning 23 innings, Rosenberg has a 5.48 ERA, 1.78 WHIP and 18:12 K:BB. If he remains part of the rotation, he'd be lined up to make his next appearance on the road in Minnesota.

Lange struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Angels.

Lange melted down Saturday, allowing three runs in one inning, but ended up with the win in that appearance. He was back to a sharper level of performance Sunday, needing 12 pitches (nine strikes) to retire the bottom of the Angels' lineup in order for the save, his 24th in 29 chances this season. Lange is at a 3.84 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 74:43 K:BB through 61 innings while continuing to hold an edge over Jason Foley for the closer role.
