Clarke signed a one-year contract with the Royals on Saturday, avoiding arbitration.

The Royals will keep Clarke in their bullpen for the 2024 campaign despite the 30-year-old reliever posting a 5.95 ERA and 1.61 WHIP last season -- both the worst marks of his career. Clarke struck out 65 batters in 59 innings, but his fantasy value will continue to be limited until he finds a way to prevent runs from scoring.

Davidson signed a one-year contract with the the Orioles on Wednesday.

After Davidson was non-tendered by the Royals, the Orioles picked him up via a waiver claim and now have him under contract for 2024. The 27-year-old appeared in 38 games for the Angels and Royals in 2023, posting a 5.96 ERA across 51.1 innings. He'll provide bullpen depth for the O's.

Cronin (back) was sent outright Friday to Triple-A Rochester, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.

Cronin passed through waivers unclaimed after being designated for assignment by the Nationals on Monday. The 26-year-old left-hander battled back problems in 2023 and struggled to a 5.02 ERA and 13:14 K:BB in 14.1 innings with Triple-A Rochester. He underwent surgery in August to repair a herniated disc.

The Padres re-signed Carlton (elbow) to a minor-league contract Friday, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Carlton was removed from the Padres' 40-man roster earlier this month and elected free agency, but he's now back with the Friars on a minor-league pact. The reliever missed the final three months of this season with an elbow issue, and it's not clear what his current health situation is.

The Rays claimed Alexander (lat) off waivers from the Tigers on Friday, Tricia Whitaker of Bally Sports Sun reports.

Alexander missed much of the 2023 campaign with a tear in his left lat, although he's been throwing for a couple months and should be ready for spring training. The left-hander holds a career 4.38 ERA and 273:74 K:BB over 341.1 career major-league innings. He could operate as a swingman in Tampa Bay.

Oller signed a minor-league contract with an invitation to spring training with the Guardians on Wednesday, Ari Alexander of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

He'll be reunited with new Guardians manager Stephen Vogt, who caught Oller some in 2022 with the Athletics. Oller had a disastrous 2023 season both in the majors (10.07 ERA) and minors (6.22 ERA) but had a solid minor-league track record previously.

Vasquez elected to become a free agent Tuesday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Vasquez was outrighted off the Tigers' 40-man roster Monday and will now head to the open market. The 30-year-old southpaw should draw a good amount of offers after posting a 3.35 ERA over 48.1 innings of relief this past season between Philadelphia and Detroit.

Wingenter elected to become a free agent Tuesday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

After being outrighted to Triple-A on Monday, Wingenter will now enter the open market. Given his struggles in the big leagues and 5.48 ERA at Triple-A Toledo in 2023, he likely won't receive more than a minor-league deal from another organization.

Cyr (shoulder) elected to become a free agent Tuesday, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.

Cyr was pushed off the Dodgers' 40-man roster last week and has now opted to test the open market. The 30-year-old right-hander dealt with shoulder issues throughout the 2023 season while struggling to a 6.16 ERA in 19 innings of work at the Triple-A level. He made only two appearances in the majors.

Salazar elected to become a free agent Tuesday, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Salazar made his major-league debut this past season at age 25 but was lit up for 11 earned runs over 12.1 innings of relief with the Reds. The right-hander will likely have to accept a minor-league deal in free agency.
