The Mets recalled Sulser from Triple-A Syracuse on Saturday.

Sulser struggled in his last major-league outing April 13 against the Royals, allowing three runs on three hits and two walks while striking out two over 1.2 frames. He's appeared in six games in Triple-A, posting a 4.50 ERA and 0.88 WHIP over eight innings with Syracuse. Sulser joins right-hander Christian Scott in a call up to the Mets, while left-hander Danny Young and right-hander Dedniel Nunez were optioned to Triple-A Syracuse in corresponding moves.

Grove (1-1) earned the victory against Atlanta on Friday, retiring all three batters he faced in the 11th inning.

Grove faced a daunting task in the top of the 11th frame, as he came on with the automatic runner at second base and Ronald Acuna, Ozzie Albies and Austin Riley due up for Atlanta. The right-hander handled the situation with aplomb, retiring all three batters without allowing the ball to leave the infield. Grove then picked up the win when the Dodgers scored in the bottom of the inning. The right-hander has turned things around after his early-season struggles, posting a 2.38 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 17:4 K:BB over his past 11.1 frames and holding the opponent scoreless in seven of his past eight outings.

Atlanta transferred Perdomo (elbow) to the 60-day injured list Saturday.

Perdomo was placed on Atlanta's 15-day IL at the beginning of the season after undergoing Tommy John surgery last fall. He wasn't expected to pitch in 2024, and his move to the 60-day IL is procedural to allow Atlanta to select right-hander Jackson Stephens to the active roster.

Atlanta placed Johnson on the 15-day injured list Saturday with right elbow inflammation.

Johnson has served one of the top right-handed setup man for Atlanta this season. He did not allow a run over his last seven appearances and did not give up a hit over his last five. Johnson has a 3.00 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 16:5 K:BB over 12 innings this season and Atlanta will likely have to lean more on right-hander Joe Jimenez for high-leverage spots while Johnson is on the shelf. To make room on the 40-man roster, Atlanta transferred left-hander Angel Perdomo to the 60-day injured list.

Kahnle (shoulder) will throw a live batting-practice session Saturday and could begin a rehab assignment thereafter, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.

Kahnle has been throwing bullpens since mid-April and recently progressed to facing live hitters. The Yankees haven't yet established a firm plan for the veteran reliever, but it appears likely that he'll either have one more live BP after Saturday's session or move on to a minor-league rehab assignment. Kahnle was a key piece of the team's bullpen last season, posting a 2.66 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 48:19 K:BB over 40.2 innings while registering two saves and 14 holds.

Schreiber (3-0) earned the win Friday versus the Rangers, allowing two hits and two walks with one strikeout in a scoreless inning.

Schreiber erased a walk with a double play, then loaded the bases again before striking out Marcus Semien to end the top of the seventh inning. The Royals rallied for six runs in their half of the frame, and Schreiber ended up with the win. He's pitched 5.1 consecutive scoreless innings, and he's been scored on just once this season, pitching to 0.59 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 11:5 K:BB over 15.1 innings. He's getting some good luck, as indicated by a .227 BABIP and 3.06 FIP, but the right-hander looks poised to play an important high-leverage role for the Royals throughout the year.

The Brewers recalled Koenig from Triple-A Nashville on Saturday.

Koenig has appeared in five games for the Brewers this season, allowing two runs (one earned) on nine hits and two walks while striking out four over 8.2 innings. The 30-year-old southpaw will return to the Brewers' bullpen, while right-hander Corbin Martin was optioned to Triple-A Nashville in a corresponding move.

Martin was called up by the Brewers for Friday's game against the Cubs, though he did not play. He'll head back down to Nashville, where he has given up two runs on four hits and four walks while striking out five over 4.1 frames. In a corresponding move, Milwaukee recalled left-hander Jared Koenig from Triple-A Nashville.

Middleton (forearm) threw a bullpen session Saturday and is expected to throw two more next week before heading to Double-A Springfield for a rehab assignment, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Middleton noted that his session Saturday went well and he has not experienced any discomfort in his right forearm since receiving a PRP injection April 6, per Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat. Barring any setbacks next week, Middleton is set to start his rehab assignment, and some good outings in Springfield should mean a return to the majors for the 30-year-old.

Foley (2-1) allowed two runs on four hits without recording an out to blow the save and take the loss Friday against the Yankees.

Foley came on in the ninth inning to protect a 1-0 Detroit lead, but the righty struggled and blew his first save of the season in 10 chances. He's still sitting with a solid 2.63 ERA overall and should remain the team's closer for now, though it's a fluid situation with Alex Lange, Shelby Miller and Andrew Chafin all potentially waiting in the wings if Foley stumbles again. Lange led the Tigers with 26 saves last year and has been sharp with a 0.75 ERA in 2024, so he may be the next man up in this bullpen.
