Iglesias struck out two in a perfect inning to earn the save in Thursday's 3-0 win over the Cubs.

Iglesias has converted his last four save chances since a blown save May 3 versus the Dodgers. He's allowed two runs on five hits and two walks over his last six innings, so it hasn't been the smoothest of stretches for the veteran closer. On the year, he's 12-for-14 in save chances with a 2.33 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 14:5 K:BB over 19.1 innings.

Suarez walked one and struck out one in a scoreless and hitless inning to earn the save in Thursday's 6-4 extra-inning win over the Reds.

Suarez had no trouble locking down the save in the 10th inning after the Padres pulled ahead. The right-hander has still allowed just one run all season, and that was March 28 versus the Giants. His scoreless streak is at 20 innings, and he has a 0.40 ERA, 0.67 WHIP and 21:5 K:BB over 22.1 innings with 14 saves and one hold on the year as one of baseball's top closers.

Hoffman picked up the save in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Rangers, striking out one in a perfect ninth inning.

Jose Alvarado pitched the eighth inning Thursday, leaving the ninth to Hoffman who'd set down the Rangers in order for his fourth save of the year. The Phillies continue to utilize a high-leverage approach to their bullpen, which has resulted in save opportunities for Hoffman when Alvarado is needed earlier in games. The 31-year-old right-hander has been excellent this year, posting a 1.25 ERA with a 1.02 WHIP and 29:7 K:BB across 21.2 innings.

Holmes earned the save in Thursday's 5-0 win over Seattle, allowing two hits while striking out two in 1.1 innings.

He came on in relief in the eighth after Nick Burdi loaded the bases. Holmes induced a grounder off the bat of Luke Raley for the final out before working around a pair of singles in the ninth to earn his 14th save. It's a nice bounce-back effort from Holmes, after he allowed four runs in a blown save against Seattle on Monday, the first four runs he's allowed this season. Overall, the 31-year-old right-hander sports a 1.64 ERA with a 1.23 WHIP and 25:6 K:BB across 22 innings this year.

Rogers earned the save in Thursday's 7-6 win over the Pirates, working around a hit in a scoreless ninth inning.

Rogers was called upon to protect a one-run lead in the ninth, with Camilo Doval having pitched three times in the last four days. The Pirates would get a couple of baserunners via an error and a Bryan Reynolds single, but Rogers would ultimately escape unscathed, securing his first save this season. The 33-year-old sidearmer has put together solid start to the campaign -- his ERA is down to 2.19 with a 0.97 WHIP and 16:0 K:BB across 24.2 innings. While Doval is firmly established as the closer in San Francisco, Rogers is the clear No. 2 option.

The Mariners claimed Salazar off waivers from the Dodgers on Thursday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

After pitching two scoreless innings for the Dodgers on May 15, Salazar was optioned to Triple-A and later designated for assignment. He'll once again hold a 40-man roster spot with his new club, though he will begin his tenure with the Mariners at Triple-A Tacoma. The 26-year-old right-hander has logged a 5.61 ERA and 1.78 WHIP through 33.2 innings across seven starts in the minors.

Armstrong will serve as the Rays' opening pitcher for Friday's game against the Royals, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The right-hander will likely cover no more than an inning or two before turning the ball over to lefty Tyler Alexander, who is slated to handle the bulk of the innings out of the bullpen. Armstrong will be serving as an opener for the fourth time this season after allowing four runs (three earned) with an 8:2 K:BB over four innings in his first three starts.

The Tigers optioned Lange to Triple-A Toledo on Thursday.

A day after allowing four earned runs in one inning during Wednesday's loss to the Royals, Lange will be sent to Triple-A in order to get back on track. The 28-year-old owns a 4.34 ERA and 1.77 WHIP alongside a 21:17 K:BB through 18.2 innings this season, and he figures to return to Detroit's bullpen once he starts turning in promising results with Toledo. In the meantime, Mason Englert will come up from Triple-A to take Lange's place.

The Tigers recalled Englert from Triple-A Toledo on Thursday, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.

Englert has put up a 2.35 ERA and 34:9 K:BB over 23 innings with Toledo this season. The 24-year-old collected a 5.46 ERA across 31 appearances for the Tigers last year. He should operate in low-leverage situations.

The Mets claimed Adcock off waivers from the Tigers on Thursday and optioned him to Triple-A Syracuse.

Adcock was DFA'd by the Tigers on Saturday, but he will reclaim a spot on a 40-man roster as he moves to New York. The 27-year-old righty has allowed eight earned runs across 8.1 innings between the Mariners' and Tigers' Triple-A affiliates, and a significant turnaround would likely be necessary before Adcock receives a call-up to the majors.
