Stewart (shoulder) threw a bullpen session Sunday and is scheduled to throw again Wednesday and Saturday, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

The right-hander landed on the injured list with shoulder tendinitis in early May and received a PRP injection a few weeks later. If all goes well, Stewart could progress to a simulated game early next week. It's possible he could return in early July before the All-Star break, but his recovery has moved at a slow pace.

Tinoco signed a minor-league contract with the Royals on Tuesday.

Tinoco elected to become a free agent after the Rangers designated him for assignment las week. He allowed nine earned runs in 10 innings with the Rangers prior to being cast off the 40-man roster. In his new organization, Tinoco will report to Triple-A Omaha.

Phillips earned the save in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the White Sox, pitching a perfect inning with one strikeout.

Phillips entered the ninth with a one-run lead and promptly retired the side on 14 pitches, including 10 strikes. The 29-year-old right-hander has been steady in June so far, pitching to a 3.00 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 8:2 K:BB over nine innings with five saves. Phillips has converted 14 consecutive save chances, with his last blown save coming against Seattle on Sept. 16, 2023.

Clase earned a save against the Orioles on Tuesday, allowing one hit and no walks with one strikeout in a scoreless ninth inning.

Clase was called upon to protect a 10-8 lead in the ninth inning and did so on just 14 pitches. Clase has eight saves in June and leads the American League with 25 total saves in what has been an amazing 2024 campaign. The 26-year-old is now 25-for-28 in save chances this season with a 0.70 ERA, 0.65 WHIP and 39:4 K:BB in 38.1 innings.

Scott earned the save in Tuesday's 2-1 victory against Kansas City, pitching a scoreless inning while allowing one hit.

Scott worked around a single yielded to Salvador Perez and subsequent pinch-run stolen base by Dairon Blanco to secure double-digit saves for the third consecutive season. The left-handed closer has been especially stingy since May 1, producing a 0.84 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 23:10 K:BB across 21.1 innings. Scott has blown only two saves in 2024 and is firmly cemented as the closer in Miami.

Kilian (shoulder) threw live batting practice Tuesday, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Kilian began throwing bullpen sessions earlier this month and has now progressed to facing live hitters for the first time since landing on the injured list before Opening Day. He will likely require a lengthy rehab assignment before being reinstated from the IL, at which point it's more likely that he reports to Triple-A Iowa rather than the big-league club.

Contreras will start Wednesday's game against the Athletics, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

The 24-year-old was acquired from the Pirates in May and has worked out of the bullpen for his first nine appearances for the Halos. Contreras has pitched to a 3.29 ERA and 0.95 WHIP over 13.2 innings with Anaheim, and manager Ron Washington said the club is hoping the right-hander can cover about four or five innings versus Oakland, per Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com.

The Giants optioned Burgos to Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Burgos' contract was selected from Triple-A on Monday, and he'll now head back to Sacramento after spending just 24 hours in the big leagues. He gave up an earned run on three hits and a walk over one inning in his MLB debut. The 25-year-old southpaw has turned in a 1.64 ERA and 0.82 WHIP through 22 frames in the minors, however, so a return to San Francisco later in the year is definitely possible. Mason Black was recalled in a corresponding move.

Milner will start Tuesday's game against the Rangers, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

The left-hander will make the first start of his MLB career Tuesday before turning things over to primary pitcher Bryse Wilson after an inning or two. Milner has struggled in his past six outings with nine earned runs allowed after posting a 2.87 ERA in his first 30 appearances of the campaign.

The Brewers selected Kuhnel's contract from Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Kuhnel signed a minor-league deal with Milwaukee on June 11, and he'll now get another shot in the majors after giving up two earned runs while striking out eight batters and walking three through five innings with Nashville. Although the 29-year-old right-hander has found success in the minors this season across the three organizations he's been a part of, his 6.30 career ERA in the majors will likely limit him to low-leverage situations while with the Brewers. Carlos F. Rodriguez was optioned to Triple-A to clear space for Kuhnel on the active roster, and Robert Gasser (elbow) was moved to the 60-day IL to free up a 40-man spot.
