The Twins are expected to call up Dobnak from Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday, Phil Miller and Bobby Nightengale of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune report.

Dobnak hasn't pitched in the majors since 2021, having had to remake himself into a slider and changeup pitcher after permanent ligament damage in his right middle finger left him unable to throw his sinker. He's been on fire lately at St. Paul, collecting a 1.70 ERA and 42:16 K:BB over 42.1 innings covering his last eight starts. It's not clear what role the Twins have planned for Dobnak, but he could provide innings protection behind their starter for Tuesday's game against the Mets, David Festa.

Brebbia (0-6) allowed three earned runs on one hit and one walk while recording one out to take the loss Monday against the Royals.

Brebbia is the presumed closer in Chicago after Michael Kopech was dealt to the Dodgers on Monday. However, things didn't go as planned when he entered the game with a runner on first and a one-run lead, as he allowed the first two batters he faced to reach base -- one was hit by a pitch -- before serving up a game-winning grand slam to Bobby Witt. Brebbia has now allowed eight earned runs across his last five appearances -- spanning four innings -- so even if he does pick up rare save chances, he's likely to provide very poor ratios.

The Mariners outrighted Devenski off the 40-man roster and assigned him to Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday.

The 33-year-old has been with Tacoma since signing a major-league contract with Seattle in early July, and he pitched well in six outings with two earned runs allowed and a 5:0 K:BB over 5.1 innings. Devenski is likely losing his place on the 40-man roster to make room for trade-acquisition Justin Turner.

Finnegan (2-5) took the loss Monday against the Diamondbacks, coughing up five runs on five hits while recording only one out.

The Nationals' closer got the call to protect a four-run lead in the bottom of the ninth inning, but instead Finnegan served up a leadoff triple to Alek Thomas and a two-run homer to Ketel Marte before pinch hitter Corbin Carroll walked it off with a two-run shot of his own. Finnegan has served up three homers in his last two appearances and nine in 44 innings on the season, which could give pause to trade-deadline shoppers looking for bullpen help. However, his 3.48 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 28 saves in 32 chances will still likely fetch a strong return if the Nats elect to move him.

Holton will serve as the Tigers' opening pitcher in Tuesday's contest versus the Guardians, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Holton will draw his fourth opener assignment of the season, with three having come within the past week. In his previous three starts, Holton has allowed one run with a 5:2 K:BB over 5.1 innings. The Tigers haven't announced their plans for once Holton exits the contest, but Joey Wentz is available on three days' rest and could serve as a bulk reliever after covering at least two innings in four of his past five appearances.

Chavez (1-2) took the loss and was charged with his first blown save of the season Monday against Milwaukee, giving up three runs on two hits and a walk over one inning of relief. He failed to strike out a batter.

The 40-year-old righty entered the game in the sixth inning with Atlanta ahead 2-1, but a Willy Adames three-run homer put the Brewers in the lead for good. Chavez has served up eight long balls in 46.1 innings this season, but he's still managed to post a sharp 2.33 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 39:14 K:BB in a lower-leverage role.

Stratton (3-3) allowed one run on two hits and struck out one over 1.2 innings to earn the win over the White Sox on Monday.

Stratton got out of Angel Zerpa's jam in the sixth inning but went on to give up an Andrew Vaughn solo home run in the seventh. The Royals then rallied from behind with a six-run eighth, giving Stratton his first win since April 23. The right-hander is at a 4.60 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 38:27 K:BB with four saves and five holds over 43 innings this season. He's played an important role in the bullpen, but Stratton's mediocre numbers make him a shaky fantasy option.

Bednar allowed a run on two hits and two walks over one inning, earning the save in Monday's 5-3 win over the Astros.

Bednar had a three-run lead to protect, but he made things hairy. He allowed three straight batters to reach with one out, then walked Yordan Alvarez with the bases loaded and two outs. Yainer Diaz's popout ended the threat as Bednar escaped with his third save over five appearances since he returned from an oblique strain. The right-hander is 19-for-22 in save chances this year despite a 4.95 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 36:10 K:BB over 36.1 innings.

Francis (4-2) earned the win in the second game of Monday's doubleheader versus the Orioles, allowing three runs on six hits and one walk while striking out two batters over 5.2 innings.

Francis was recalled from Triple-A Buffalo earlier Monday in order to serve as Toronto's starter in the second game of the twin bill. The right-hander gave up three runs on two homers over his first two innings but managed to settle down after that, pitching into the sixth frame and falling one out shy of a quality start. Francis had come out of the bullpen for 13 of his previous 16 big-league outings this season, though he started in four of his six appearances in Triple-A and dominated with a 0.93 ERA, 0.58 WHIP and 24:3 K:BB over 19.1 frames. With Yusei Kikuchi traded to Houston on Monday, Francis figures to stick in the rotation, and he's tentatively slated to face the Yankees in New York this weekend.

Hader (4-6) allowed three runs on a hit and two walks while striking out two over one inning to take the loss Monday versus the Pirates.

Hader was brought in with the game tied at the start of the ninth inning. He allowed a three-run home run to Michael Taylor, and the Astros weren't able to recover. Hader had a shaky start to July, but he had settled in with a six-inning scoreless streak that ended Monday. He's at a 4.11 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 72:15 K:BB while converting 20 of 21 saves through 46 innings.
