  • Royals' Carlos Estevez: Up to 33 saves

    Estevez earned the save in Thursday's 6-4 win over the Rangers, striking out one in a perfect ninth inning.

    Estevez has now converted eight straight save chances while allowing just four earned runs across his last 14 innings. The right-hander leads the majors with 33 saves this season while posting a 2.72 ERA with a 1.10 WHIP and 47 strikeouts across 56.1 innings.

    Brewers' Trevor Megill: Up to 30 saves

    Megill earned the save in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Cubs, allowing one hit while striking out one in a scoreless ninth inning.

    Megill has allowed just one earned run in his last 15 appearances (14.1 innings) while striking out 18 in that span. The 31-year-old right-hander has converted 30 saves this year, good for third most in the majors, while posting a 2.05 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 55:14 K:BB across 44 innings.

    Cubs' Ryan Brasier: Struggles persist Thursday

    Brasier allowed two runs on three hits and a walk across an inning of relief in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Brewers.

    Brasier didn't take the loss Thursday, but he didn't help the Cubs stay in the game either. The veteran righty has been scored upon in six of his last eight appearances, and he has a rough 14.85 ERA during that stretch. Overall, Brasier now has a 4.50 ERA and 1.23 WHIP across 26 innings this season, and he's not among Chicago's high-leverage bullpen options at the moment.

    Braves' Dylan Dodd: Recalled from Gwinnett

    Atlanta recalled Dodd from Triple-A Gwinnett on Thursday.

    Dodd has appeared in 17 games out of the bullpen for Atlanta this season, registering a 3.80 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and 20:2 K:BB across 21.1 innings. He'll likely work in middle relief while up in the majors.

  • Connor Seabold RP | ATL

    Braves' Connor Seabold: Dispatched to Triple-A

    Atlanta optioned Seabold to Triple-A Gwinnett on Thursday.

    Seabold worked 1.1 innings of relief Tuesday against the White Sox and surrendered two earned runs on two hits and one walk, while striking out just one in his Atlanta debut. He'll now return to Gwinnett, where he made just one appearance after being claimed off waivers before being promoted.

  • Dane Dunning RP | ATL

    Braves' Dane Dunning: Sent back to Triple-A

    Atlanta optioned Dunning to Triple-A Gwinnett on Thursday.

    Dunning spent 48 hours up with the major-league club during his latest recall. He's pitched in five games out of the bullpen for Atlanta this season, registering a 12.15 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 8:2 K:BB across 6.2 innings of work.

  • Jack Perkins RP | ATH

    Athletics' Jack Perkins: Grabs third straight win

    Perkins (3-2) earned the win Thursday over the Twins, allowing two runs on three hits and four walks over five innings. He struck out two.

    Perkins, who joined the A's rotation earlier this month, has won his last three starts while posting a 4.50 ERA with 14 strikeouts in that span (16 innings). Overall, the rookie right-hander sports a 4.19 ERA with a 1.16 WHIP and 37:18 K:BB across 38.2 innings this season. Perkins is currently lined up for a tough home matchup with the Tigers in his next outing.

  • Zach Maxwell RP | CIN

    Reds' Zach Maxwell: Headed to majors

    The Reds plan to select Maxwell's contract from Triple-A Louisville ahead of Friday's game versus Arizona, Chase Ford of MiLB Central reports.

    Cincinnati will need to add Maxwell to the 40-man and 26-man rosters. A sixth-round pick in the 2022 Draft, Maxwell's next appearance will be his MLB debut. The right-hander has pitched in 51 games out of the bullpen at Triple-A this season and has registered a 4.17 ERA and 10.7 K/9 across 49.2 innings. He's been nearly perfect in August with a 0.96 ERA and 13 strikeouts over 9.1 innings.

  • Allan Winans RP | NYY

    Yankees' Allan Winans: Optioned to Triple-A

    The Yankees optioned Winans to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Thursday.

    Winans' stint with the Yankees lasted only one day without making an appearance. He's clearing out to make space on the roster for Paul Blackburn, who inked a major-league contract Thursday.

  • Erik Miller RP | SF

    Giants' Erik Miller: Moved to 60-day IL

    The Giants transferred Miller (elbow) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day injured list Thursday.

    Miller experienced a setback with his left elbow injury last week on a rehab assignment. He would be eligible for activation from the IL in early September, but the lefty will not resume throwing for another couple weeks, so his season might very well be over.
