Miller earned the save Thursday, delivering a perfect ninth inning with no strikeouts in a 4-2 win over the Mets.

With Justin Martinez (shoulder) joining A.J. Puk (elbow) on the injured list ahead of Thursday's game, Miller was called upon for the save chance and made quick work of the Mets, needing just eight pitches to close out the win. Miller has yet to allow an earned run in 13.2 innings this year while posting a stellar 0.59 WHIP with 15:4 K:BB. While Miller could be a solid source for saves in the absence of Martinez and Puk, it's worth noting that Kevin Ginkel was used in the eighth inning against the top of New York's order and is also likely to be in the closer mix.

The Dodgers transferred Treinen (forearm) to the 60-day injured list Thursday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Treinen went down with a right forearm sprain in mid-April and has yet to resume a throwing program. He now isn't eligible to return until mid-June, and there won't be a timetable for Treinen until he starts ramping up his throwing.

The Dodgers claimed Feyereisen off waivers from the Diamondbacks on Thursday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

It's a homecoming of sorts for Feyereisen, who posted an 8.18 ERA and 9:5 K:BB over 11 innings with the Dodgers last season. The righty allowed three runs (two earned) over two frames with the Diamondbacks earlier this season before they placed him on waivers. Feyereisen will go to Triple-A Oklahoma City for now.

The Cardinals traded Loutos to the Dodgers on Thursday in exchange for cash, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Loutos owns a 3.38 ERA and 1.13 WHIP through eight innings in Triple-A this season, but he was booted off St. Louis' 40-man roster Monday to make room for Jose Barrero. By joining the Dodgers, Loutos once again owns a 40-man spot, but he'll likely remain at Triple-A Oklahoma City until Los Angeles needs a fresh arm in its bullpen.

Brash (elbow) has made six appearances during his rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma, logging an 8.44 ERA, 2.06 WHIP and 5:2 K:BB over 5.1 innings.

Brash last pitched Tuesday, which marked the first time he's worked two out of three days on his rehab stint. He had previously received at least three days off in between each of his first five outings. The hard-throwing right-hander appears to be on the precipice of being activated from the injured list after missing all of last season due to Tommy John surgery. General manager Justin Hollander said Wednesday that Brash is "getting very close" to rejoining Seattle's bullpen, per Zac Hereth of Seattle Sports.

Bautista picked up the save in Wednesday's 5-4 win over the Yankees after throwing a clean ninth inning. He struck out one.

Eight of Bautista's 10 pitches landed for strikes, so it was a relatively easy night for the big right-hander. Bautista has pitched well in spite of a troublesome 15.8 percent walk rate in 2025 after missing all of last season due to Tommy John surgery, turning in a 2.00 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 11:6 K:BB over nine innings while going a perfect 5-for-5 on save chances. The Orioles have just six save opportunities to date, which ranks 29th in the major leagues, and Bautista didn't see his first chance until the April 12 win over the Blue Jays.

Kelly (glute) is playing catch from 75 feet and is likely to be sidelined until late May or early June, MLB.com reports.

The right-hander landed on the shelf April 11 due to a left gluteal strain, which is an injury he's dealt with previously. Kelly still has significant work to do in his throwing program and is at least a few weeks away from potentially rejoining the active roster.

The Diamondbacks transferred Puk (elbow) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Thursday.

The move frees up a spot on the 40-man roster for right-hander Jose Castillo, whose contract was selected from Triple-A Reno on Thursday. Puk is dealing with a left flexor strain, and while he will not undergo surgery at this time, he is facing an extended absence. Justin Martinez (shoulder) was also placed on the IL on Thursday, so the Diamondbacks are down their top two relievers and could turn to Ryan Thompson, Shelby Miller and Kevin Ginkel as options to close games.

The Diamondbacks selected Castillo's contract from Triple-A Reno on Thursday.

Castillo got a late start to the season with Reno due to an adductor injury, but he made five appearances there and allowed just one run with a 7:0 K:BB over 5.1 innings. The left-hander missed much of 2024 with a hand injury, and when he makes an appearance, it will be his first in the majors since 2023.

The Diamondbacks placed Martinez on the 15-day injured list Thursday with right shoulder inflammation.

Martinez's velocity and results have trended in the wrong direction lately, so the Diamondbacks are opting to shut him down for the time being. He is scheduled to undergo imaging to see if there is anything more serious beyond inflammation in his pitching shoulder. With A.J. Puk (elbow) also on the shelf, the Diamondbacks could mix and match at closer. Ryan Thompson, Shelby Miller and Kevin Ginkel are among the options to see save chances.
