Beck (arm) threw a 40-pitch bullpen session at Oracle Park on Sunday, MLB.com reports.

Assuming Beck checked out fine following the extended side session, the Giants could clear him to resume facing hitters when the club reconvenes following the All-Star break. Beck has been on the shelf all season after he was diagnosed with an aneurysm in his upper right arm in spring training that necessitated surgery March 4. Though he was cleared for full baseball activities May 1, Beck has been building up slowly and is still likely multiple weeks away from returning from the 60-day injured list. With both Robbie Ray (elbow) and Alex Cobb (hip/shoulder) further along in their throwing programs and poised to beat him back from the IL to bolster the Giants' rotation depth, Beck will likely be ticketed for the bullpen once he's eventually activated.

Ramirez (0-5) allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits while striking out one batter against Detroit on Sunday. He was charged with a blown save and a loss.

Ramirez was called upon to hold a 3-2 lead in the ninth inning and allowed the Tigers to end their first half with a walk-off win. He pitched in all three games against Detroit during the weekend series and took two losses. Ramirez has blown two of his three save chances this season and owns a 4.68 ERA through 42.1 innings. Evan Phillips received Sunday off after blowing a save Saturday.

Vodnik picked up the save Sunday against the Mets, allowing two hits and a walk over 1.2 scoreless innings. He struck out two.

Vodnik took over for Jalen Beeks midway through the eighth frame with one out and runners on second and third. Vodnik walked Francisco Lindor to load the bases and yielded an RBI fielder's choice to Brandon Nimmo before retiring Francisco Alvarez to close out the frame. Holding an 8-5 lead, Vodnik allowed a pair of singles but logged back-to-back strikeouts to close out his second save of 2024. Vodnik has cashed in on both of his save opportunities in July, and with the Rockies' current closing situation up in the air, he could see occasional save chances in the second half of 2024.

Koenig (elbow) will make a rehab appearance with Triple-A Nashville on Friday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Koenig was placed on the 15-day injured list June 29 with left forearm tendinitis, but he looks to be progressing quickly after tossing a bullpen session Thursday and a multi-inning simulated game Sunday. The Brewers will reassess Koenig's status after Friday's rehab appearance, but he may need just the one outing with Nashville before returning to the big-league bullpen.

Williams (back) struck out all three batters he faced in a perfect inning during his rehab appearance Sunday with High-A Wisconsin.

Williams has been on the shelf all season while recovering from a pair of stress fractures in his back, but he didn't exhibit any signs of rust in his first game action of 2024. He needed just 14 pitches to strike out the side and generated four swings-and-misses during his brief time on the mound. The Brewers may have Williams shift his rehab assignment to Double-A Biloxi or Triple-A Nashville for a tougher test following the All-Star break, but the right-hander may not require too many more tune-up outings in the minors if he continues to look as sharp as he did Sunday. Williams should eventually supplant Trevor Megill as the Brewers' preferred option to close games once he's reinstated from the 60-day injured list.

Scott allowed two walks over 1.1 scoreless innings and earned a save against the Reds on Sunday. He struck out two batters.

Scott faced a two-on, two-out situation in the ninth inning but struck out Edwin Rios to close out the 3-2 win. He's riding a 12.1-inning scoreless streak while converting six straight save chances. He's now 14 for 16 in save opportunities with a stellar 1.34 ERA through 39 appearances.

Ortiz underwent Tommy John surgery Thursday to repair a torn UCL in his right elbow, MLB.com reports.

After spraining his left ankle in his 2024 debut March 30, Ortiz was placed on the injured list a day later. He began a rehab assignment at Single-A Clearwater in late April, only to be shut down again after experiencing right shoulder inflammation following his second rehab outing. Ortiz shook off the shoulder injury and resumed his rehab assignment June 11 before being shut down just over a week later with forearm discomfort. The reliever was recommended for surgery after undergoing further testing and will now miss the rest of the season and the majority of the 2025 campaign.

Rucker (hand) resumed his rehab assignment with Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Saturday, working one inning while striking out a batter and giving up one run on three hits and one walk.

Rucker had been pulled off his rehab assignment last Sunday due to turf toe in his right big toe, but he evidently made a swift recovery from that injury. The 30-year-old is still in the process of building back up while he's been on the injured list all season due to a right hand arterial vasospasm. He'll likely work in middle relief for the Phillies once he's activated from the 60-day IL.

Turnbull (lat) was cleared to resume playing catch Saturday at the Phillies' facility in Clearwater, Fla., MLB.com reports.

Turnbull looks to be trending positively in his recovery from the strained right lat he sustained June 26, but he still has several checkpoints to hit in the rehab process before making his return from the 15-day injured list. Phillies manager Rob Thomson previously said that Turnbull was likely facing a 6-to-8-week recovery timeline, so the right-hander shouldn't be expected back from the IL until middle or late August.

Pagan (lat) began a throwing program July 2, MLB.com reports.

Pagan's throwing progression is expected to last most of the month before he reports to a minor-league affiliate for a rehab assignment. The right-hander is on the 60-day injured list with a right lat strain and won't be eligible for activation until Aug. 7.
