Trevor Megill RP | MIL
Brewers' Trevor Megill: Converts 20th save
Megill allowed a hit and struck out one in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 1-0 win over the Cubs.
Pitching for the third time in four days, Megill was able to work around a leadoff single to pick up his 20th save of the campaign. The right-hander has allowed multiple runs in two of his last four outings, though those struggles are yet to cost him his share of the high-leverage duties. He's at a 2.41 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 40:8 K:BB through 33.2 innings this season. Devin Williams (back) is going through a rehab assignment at Triple-A Nashville, so Megill's run as the Brewers' closer could be nearing an end, though he's pitched well enough to potentially make this a committee situation if Williams needs to be eased in after a lengthy absence.

Tanner Scott RP | LAD
Marlins' Tanner Scott: Notches 17th save
Scott earned the save in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Orioles, striking out a pair in a scoreless ninth inning.
Scott's now turned in 15 straight scoreless appearances -- he's converted nine consecutive save chances, allowing just five hits while striking out 19 over his last 15.2 innings. The left-hander's lowered his ERA to a pristine 1.24 with a 0.98 WHIP and 50:25 K:BB across 43.2 innings this season. With the trade deadline fast approaching, Scott figures to be the top bullpen arm on the market.

Ryan Helsley RP | BAL
Cardinals' Ryan Helsley: Grabs 33rd save
Helsley earned the save in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Pirates, striking out the side in a perfect ninth inning.
Helsley's decision to get some extra rest during the All-Star break appeared to pay off Tuesday. The right-hander struck out the side on just 13 pitches, earning his league-leading 33rd save. Helsley has now delivered nine straight scoreless innings -- he's allowed just five hits while striking out 11 in that span. Overall, his ERA is down to 2.25 across 44 innings this season with a 1.16 WHIP and 53:18 K:BB.

Tuesday's game will be made up during a doubleheader Wednesday, and Martinez will start the second game of the twin bill, per Mark Sheldon of MLB.com. The 33-year-old holds a 3.88 ERA and 1.13 WHIP through 72 innings on the season, though he hasn't started a game since May.

Sean Reid-Foley RP | ATL
Mets' Sean Reid-Foley: Beginning assignment Thursday
Reid-Foley (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with High-A Brooklyn on Thursday, Pat Ragazzo of SI.com reports.
Reid-Foley said Tuesday that he's feeling good after facing hitters for the first time Monday, so the Mets will now look to get him in a few games in the minor leagues. It's unclear how long the 28-year-old right-hander may remain on a rehab assignment, but a return to New York before the end of July hasn't yet been ruled out.

Reed Garrett RP | NYM
Mets' Reed Garrett: Hopes for mound work this weekend
Garrett (elbow) hopes to be ready to throw a bullpen session by this weekend, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.
Garrett began throwing on flat ground over a weekend, so it would seem to be a good sign that he could progress to mound work soon. The reliever has been out of commission for the last two weeks with right elbow inflammation. He might require a rehab appearance or two before being activated.

The left-hander has logged two big-league innings this season, yielding four hits and no runs with a pair of strikeouts. He'll serve out of the bullpen for the Mets.

Hernandez was transferred to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.
Hernandez was outrighted to the Dodgers' Arizona Complex League affiliate Wednesday but was moved to Triple-A. The 26-year-old lefty appeared in seven games with the Pirates before being traded to the Dodgers June 13 and could be called up if the big-league team requires some bullpen help.

Keegan Thompson RP | COL
Cubs' Keegan Thompson: Throwing live batting practice
Thompson (ribs) will throw a live batting practice session Tuesday, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.
It would appear to be the first time he's faced hitters since going down with a right rib fracture in late June. Thompson should be cleared for a rehab assignment soon if all goes well, with a return likely pegged for early August.
