Grant Holmes RP | ATL
Braves' Grant Holmes: Yields five runs in Coors Field
Holmes did not factor into the decision in Friday's 6-5 loss to Colorado, allowing five runs on six hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out eight.
Despite generating an impressive 21 whiffs, the 28-year-old rookie couldn't contain the Rockies in his first appearance at Coors Field. After this performance, Holmes' ERA since joining the rotation July 29 has ballooned to 5.52 in 14.2 innings across three starts. However, he has been a solid contributor in the strikeout department, generating 20 Ks against four walks over that span. Holmes is currently scheduled to make his next outing in San Francisco next week.

Joan Adon SP | WAS
Nationals' Joan Adon: Sent back to Rochester
The Nationals optioned Adon to Triple-A Rochester on Friday.
Since rejoining the Nationals bullpen July 30, Adon has given up three earned runs in just 3.1 innings across four appearances. His Triple-A numbers haven't been spectacular either (5.40 ERA, 1.66 WHIP), but there's still a chance he returns to Washington later in the season if the Nats' bullpen depth runs thin.

Hunter Stratton RP | ATL
Pirates' Hunter Stratton: Dispatched to Triple-A
The Pirates optioned Stratton to Triple-A Indianapolis on Friday, Alex Stumpf of MLB.com reports.
Stratton will end up as the Pirates' roster casualty as Domingo German comes up from Triple-A to give Pittsburgh another long relief option. The 27-year-old Stratton got off to a rough start in the majors this season, though he went unscored upon in five innings during his latest stint with the Pirates.

J.B. Bukauskas RP | MIL
Brewers' J.B. Bukauskas: Removed from rehab appearance
Bukauskas (triceps) was removed from his rehab appearance at Triple-A Nashville on Friday after getting hit by a comebacker, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Bukauskas took a 98 mph line drive off his arm and had to leave the game after facing just one batter. The 27-year-old righty was making his fourth appearance at Triple-A since resuming his rehab assignment in late July, but his time in the minors figured to be extended as a result of his latest injury.

Camilo Doval RP | NYY
Giants' Camilo Doval: Optioned to Triple-A
The Giants optioned Doval to Triple-A Sacramento on Friday, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.
The decision to send Doval to the minors comes after he gave up three earned runs in one inning and was charged with his fifth blown save Thursday. The 27-year-old righty will attempt to get back on track with Sacramento after recording a 6.75 ERA and 1.83 WHIP through 21.1 innings since June 2. Ryan Walker and Tyler Rogers are likely the favorites to pitch in save situations for the Giants, and Landen Roupp will come up from Triple-A to replenish San Francisco's bullpen depth.

Trevor Megill RP | MIL
Brewers' Trevor Megill: Throwing bullpen Saturday
Megill (back) will throw a bullpen session Saturday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Saturday will mark Megill's first time throwing off a mound since a lower-back injury forced him onto the injured list near the end of July. It remains unclear how far away he is from rejoining Milwaukee's bullpen, but the return of Devin Williams means that Megill will almost certainly be moved into a setup role once he's activated.

Emilio Pagan RP | CIN
Reds' Emilio Pagan: Could return vs. Brewers
Pagan (lat) is with the Reds for their weekend series against the Brewers, Gordon Wittenmyer of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Pagan began his rehab assignment Aug. 2, and after throwing two scoreless frames over his first two outings, he gave up two runs on two hits in one inning in his last appearance with Triple-A Louisville on Thursday. The 33-year-old reliever travelled with the team to Milwaukee and could be activated during the weekend series. Pagan has recorded three holds across 22 major-league appearances this season with a 4.43 ERA and 1.38 WHIP over 20.1 innings.

Scott McGough RP | ATH
Diamondbacks' Scott McGough: Back in Arizona
The Diamondbacks recalled McGough from Triple-A Reno on Friday.
McGough owns a 7.33 ERA and 1.70 WHIP through 27 innings in the majors this season, though he's put up a 3.09 ERA across 11.2 frames since being optioned to Triple-A in late June. He'll now return to the big leagues to give the Diamondbacks a fresh bullpen arm, replacing Slade Cecconi.

Maximo Castillo RP | PHI
Phillies' Max Castillo: Dumped from 40-man roster
The Phillies designated Castillo for assignment Friday.
The 25-year-old was sent to Triple-A Lehigh Valley late in spring training after being claimed off waivers from the Red Sox, but he's now been jettisoned from the Phillies' 40-man roster. Castillo struggled to an 8.37 ERA, 1.93 WHIP and 37:24 K:BB over 42 innings (10 starts) at Triple-A.
