Brewers' Carlos Rodriguez: Undergoing tests on forearm
Rodriguez is undergoing tests for forearm discomfort after leaving his start for Triple-A Nashville early Thursday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
This is an ominous sign for Rodriguez, who was making his first appearance Thursday after saving the MLB staff by coming back in to pitch after nearly a two-hour rain delay May 22.

The veteran right-hander was up with the Mets for one day earlier in the season and is now back in the majors. Devenski gave up two runs over two frames in his lone outing but has a 1.96 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and 13:4 K:BB over 18.1 innings for Syracuse this year.

The right-hander was called up as the 27th man for Thursday's doubleheader and allowed a run over two innings against Atlanta in his first MLB outing of the season. De Geus will now return to Lehigh Valley, where he has a 0.95 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 14:7 K:BB across 19 innings.

Lyon Richardson SP | CIN

Kyle Finnegan RP | DET
Nationals' Kyle Finnegan: Finishes off extra-inning win
Finnegan (shoulder) struck out a batter and allowed an unearned run on one hit and one walk in an inning of relief during Thursday's 9-3 extra-inning win over the Mariners.
Finnegan made his first appearance in a week, as a bout of shoulder fatigue prompted the Nationals to give him some rest. The right-hander might have been a candidate to pitch earlier in the series, but a 9-1 loss Tuesday and a 9-0 win Wednesday presented no high-leverage opportunities. Thursday's appearance was fairly pressure-free as well, coming in the bottom of the 10th inning after Washington put up seven runs in the top of the frame. Finnegan should continue to dominate save opportunities for Washington after converting 15 of 18 chances prior to his brief absence, although his name will likely circulate in trade rumors once again this summer with the Nats far from playoff contention.

DL Hall RP | MIL
Brewers' DL Hall: Serving as opener
Hall will start Friday's game against the Phillies, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Hall will serve as an opener, though he could work multiple innings. He was activated from the injured list and made his first big-league appearance of 2025 on Monday, when he worked 2.1 frames while allowing one run. Quinn Priester is projected to cover the bulk of the innings Friday in Philadelphia.

Jeff Brigham RP | CHC
Diamondbacks' Jeff Brigham: Return to majors on tap
The Diamondbacks are expected to select Brigham's contract from Triple-A Reno ahead of their weekend series against the Nationals, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.
Brigham made his last appearance in the big leagues during 2023 for the Mets. He pitched in 37 games and posted a 5.26 ERA across 37.2 innings. In 17 appearances for Triple-A Reno in 2025, he has a 5.82 ERA in 21.2 innings with 34:9 K:BB. The 33-year-old will take the roster spot of Kevin Ginkel, who is set to be optioned.
