Torres has a 1.98 ERA for the month of May after pitching 13.2 innings across 12 games.

Torres has become one of the Brewers' most used relievers this season, having pitched 26.1 innings in 23 games. Torres has a 1.41 WHIP and an 8.54 K/9, so his numbers for the season aren't anything baffling, but he appears to be a versatile bullpen option. He's pitched anywhere from 0.1 to 2.0 innings and has three holds to go with two saves. However, there are reasons to question whether Torres's May performance is just a hot streak or his new norm, as his career ERA and WHIP are 4.17 and 1.36.

Coleman has a 2.61 ERA for the month of May, bringing his ERA down to 3.10 for the season.

After struggling to find his rhythm in 2016's early games by giving up four earned runs in his first five innings, Coleman gave up just three earned runs in the 15.1 innings that followed, good for a 1.76 ERA in that span. Despite his fastball being just 88.9 miles per hour, Coleman has managed to strike out batters at a rate of 9.30 K/9. As the season goes on, he'll work on walking fewer batters and bringing his BB/9 down from 3.98. If he manages to do so, his WHIP should concurrently fall from it's already low mark of 0.98.

Hudson struck out one batter in 0.2 innings of action during Sunday's victory over the Padres.

Hudson's brief appearance in Sunday's outing brought his ERA down to 1.31 and his WHIP to 0.73. Now in his second season of pitching as a reliever, Hudson is becoming one of Arizona's most used bullpen options and has thrown in 21 games. He's improved his BB/9 from 2015's 3.33 to 2.18 and is putting up an opponent batting average of .143, the lowest of his career. His performance against righties has been especially dominant, striking out 11 of the 37 right-handed hitters he's faced while giving up a mere two hits.

Smith (knee) is expected to be activated from the DL during the upcoming four-game series with the Phillies that begins Thursday, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Smith recently moved his rehab to Double-A Biloxi, where he struck out one batter in a clean inning, throwing 12 of 16 total pitches for strikes. He's now made three rehab appearances, allowing one hit and no walks with five strikeouts over four innings. Smith will soon return to the Milwaukee bullpen, though it appears Jeremy Jeffress will retain the closer's role for now. If Smith can string together a few quality appearances, he could find himself as a trade chip for the rebuilding Brewers.

Jansen earned his 15th save of the season Sunday versus the Mets, striking out one in a perfect inning.

Jansen, who has two consecutive conversions after blowing a pair of saves last week, now has a stellar 1.35 ERA and 0.56 WHIP. He has quickly shown that the hiccups from last week are behind him and should continue to nail down saves with regularity moving forward.

Rusin was hit hard in Sunday's loss to the Giants, allowing six runs on 11 hits and three walks across just five innings.

Rusin threw a respectable 63% of his pitches for strikes, but he was simply too hittable Sunday, as he yielded extra-bases six times in compiling a whopping WHIP of 2.80. His season ERA surged to 4.75 with the poor outing, and he will look to rebound Friday at San Diego.

Nelson (5-3) escaped an early jam Sunday to pick up the win over the Reds, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks over 7.1 innings while striking out five.

It looked like Nelson was going to get a quick hook in the second inning after Cincinnati loaded the bases with nobody out, but Nelson wriggled off the hook thanks to a Tucker Barnhart double play and settled down after that. His 59:28 K:BB in 72 innings doesn't exactly support his 2.88 ERA, but Nelson has still delivered four straight quality starts and eight in 11 outings this season. His next turn in the rotation will come Friday in Philadelphia.

Pomeranz (4-5) went five innings in Sunday's loss against Arizona, allowing six runs on five hits and four walks while striking out nine.

Pomeranz has been one of the best pitchers in the NL based on an ERA that now stands at 2.48, but he's issued 10 free passes in his last three outings, so he needs to control the strike zone a bit better if he wants to maintain the success he's shown this year. The six runs allowed were a season-high mark for him, and he'll look to bounce back in his next start Friday against the Rockies.

Belisle (calf) will likely have his rehab assignment moved to Double-A Harrisburg, Chase Hughes of CSN Maryland reports.

Belisle began a rehab assignment Monday for High-A Potomac, and through three appearances, has allowed two earned runs over a total of four innings. The right-hander believes he is ready to return to the majors at any point, though the Nationals appear more inclined to take it slowly with his rehab.

Leone was optioned to Triple-A Reno following Saturday night's game.

Leone recorded one out in Friday night's game, but also surrendered an earned run on three hits in the blowout loss. He'll now head back to Triple-A after just a short time in the majors, but remains an option for bullpen depth, if needed, later in the season.
