Chapman worked around a walk to record his 34th save Monday against the Cardinals.

Chapman is now up to 14 saves with the Cubs and has converted seven in a row. He has gone 9.2 innings since his last blown save and has allowed just one run with a ridiculous 17:6 K:BB in that stretch. He remains one of the nastiest relievers in baseball, and although he is walking a lot of batters of late, it doesn't matter if opposing batters can't make contact.

Iglesias came on with a 3-0 lead in the eighth inning Monday to nail down a two-inning save, striking out three Brewers.

The save was Iglesias's third of the year, having been transitioned from opening day starter to reliever and now closing games. Iglesias's numbers are terrific on the year, holding a 2.18 ERA and 1.14 WHIP over 70.1 innings, striking out more than a batter an inning. Iglesias blew his last save opportunity just a few days earlier, but it seems as though the Reds are going to stick with him as their season winds down with no hope of making the playoffs.

De Leon (2-0) won again on Monday, holding the Yankees to two runs over five innings. he allowed three hits, walked two, and struck out three.

The 24-year-old prospect has made two starts for the Dodgers and has walked away the winner both times. In 11 innings, De Leon has given up five earned runs, but allowed just 10 baserunners in the process. His next start will come Saturday against the Diamondbacks.

Lopez (3-3) earned the win out of the bullpen on Monday against the Mets, tossing three shutout innings in which he allowed just two walks.

After Mat Latos was forced from the game before he could complete five innings due to injury, the official scorer awarded the win to Lopez, who finished the game. The righty owns a 5.01 ERA and 1.61 WHIP at the MLB level, but could end up starting later this month if Latos' injury forces him to exit the rotation.

As expected, Montero has been bumped from the Mets rotation after Monday's disastrous outing, the Wall Street Journal's Jared Diamond reports.

He was tagged for six runs in 1.2 innings Monday, and will now move to the bullpen to work as a mop-up man. The Mets have not announced who will slot into the rotation Sunday against the Twins.

Montero (0-1) was a disaster on Monday against the Nationals, allowing six runs in 1.2 innings. He surrendered five hits, walked four, and struck out six.

Montero had been lucky not to be battered too badly in his first two starts, but the luck ran out on Monday. The righty has allowed nine runs and 14 walks over 11 innings since joining the Mets rotation. It would be a surprise if he gets another start, but if he does it would come on Sunday against the Twins.

Ottavino earned the save in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Padres. He walked one and struck out one without allowing a run.

Ottavino pitched a scoreless 10th inning to preserve Colorado's extra-inning victory, recovering from a leadoff walk to retire the next three batters in order. After initially struggling when he took over closing duties in late August, Ottavino has yet to allow an earned run in four September appearances. He's now converted consecutive save opportunities for the first time this season and appears to have a stable hold on the closer job.

Melancon allowed one hit and struck out the side in the ninth inning of Sunday's win over the Phillies to notch his 41st save of the season.

After hitting his first rough patch with the Nats during their series against the Braves earlier this week, Melancon rebounded to grab a win and two saves in three games against the Phillies with a 6:1 K:BB in three innings. He should remain one of the most valuable closers in the league down the stretch. After pitching in three straight games, however, he'll probably be unavailable Monday against the Mets.

Moore (10-11) allowed two runs on eight hits and one walk, striking out 11 over seven innings during Sunday's 5-3 win over the Diamondbacks,

Coming off a disastrous outing at Coors Field, Moore rebounded with his third double-digit strikeout performance of the season. He walked only one batter and threw 78 of his 109 pitches for strikes, allowing him to pitch past the sixth inning for just the second time since joining San Francisco at the trade deadline. Moore's struggled with his command in his brief time with the Giants, seeing his walk rate rise from 2.8 BB/9 rate before the trade to 5.0 BB/9 after the trade. He'll look to replicate Sunday's pinpoint accuracy in his next start against the Cardinals at home on Friday.

Melancon struck out one Phillie in a perfect ninth inning Saturday to notch his 40th save of the season.

He's now 10-for-10 in save chances with the Nationals with a 1.93 ERA and 17:3 K:BB in 18.2 innings. Melancon has given the team exactly what it needed at the back of its bullpen, and his acquisition (especially relative to the return Aroldis Chapman and Andrew Miller fetched) now looks like one of the most astute of this year's deadline deals.
