Hoffman was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Hoffman shined in his first start of the season with the Rockies, fanning eight while allowing three runs in 5.1 innings pitched. However, with no opening in the rotation in the long term, he'll return to Triple-A for more development. That being said, the pitching prospect seems like a logical candidate to make a spot start down the line given his success in his most recent start. To fill his spot on the big-league roster, Raimel Tapia was recalled from Triple-A.

Pivetta will not make his scheduled start Friday against the Nationals after the game was postponed due to inclement weather, Dan Kolko of MASN Sports reports.

The game will be made up as part of a split doubleheader Sunday. No word has come forth as to how the Phillies will manage their rotation in response to this news, but it would seem logical for Pivetta to simply move back to start Saturday's game.

Grace was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse on Friday, Dan Kolko of MASN Sports reports.

The 28-year-old southpaw saw mixed results in his first stint with the big league club this season, but with Shawn Kelley and Koda Glover returning from injuries in time for Friday's game with the Phillies, Grace's services were no longer needed. He'll return to the Triple-A bullpen where he'll look to improve on the middling 4.91 ERA he currently possesses with the Chiefs.

Iglesias notched his seventh save in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Giants, giving up two hits over an inning and recording a strikeout.

The 27-year-old right-hander worked around some trouble of his own making, as he gave up singles to Nick Hundley and Denard Span. However, Iglesias managed to secure his seventh save in as many chances by inducing a flyball from Brandon Belt, who'd homered earlier in the game. Iglesias is now boasting an 0.93 ERA and 0.93 WHIP, along with a solid 20:7 K:BB over 19.1 innings.

Peralta (2-0) gave up only one hit over 1.1 scoreless innings in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Giants. He struck out two.

Peralta got his four outs over an efficient 20 pitches, 14 of which he threw for strikes. The 25-year-old southpaw has now delivered scoreless performances in four straight outings and nine of his last 10 trips to the mound. Factoring in Thursday's production, he's now sporting a 2-0 record, 1.20 ERA, 0.60 WHIP and stellar 21:4 K:BB over 15.0 innings.

Hand threw a perfect inning en route to his fourth hold of the season in Thursday's loss to the Rangers.

The Padres blew a late lead Thursday, but it was no fault of the dominant lefty who retired two of the three batters he faced via strikeout. Hand's 1.37 ERA is being held together by an unusually high 93.3 percent strand rate, resulting in a 3.35 FIP. Even if he were to regress a bit, the 27-year-old would remain a reliable option in holds leagues while he continues to break out as a reliever.

Blach returned to form Thursday, holding the Reds to two runs on five hits over seven innings, walking one and striking out two in a 3-2 loss.

The 26-year-old was hammered by these very same Reds in his last start, but a return to the pitcher-friendly confines of AT&T Park proved to be the solution to his woes against Cincinnati. Blach had been effective as a starter outside of his one rough outing, but a dreadful strikeout rate (2.3 K/9) keeps the southpaw's ceiling relatively low and limits his usefulness to very deep and NL-only formats. That said, his next start comes at home against the Dodgers, who he has held to a .159 batting average with no extra-base hits in two career starts, so there is some streaming potential there.

The Phillies recalled Garcia from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Friday.

The reliever will add bullpen depth and take the roster spot of starter Jake Thompson, whom the Phillies optioned Wednesday. Garcia hasn't allowed a run in 4.1 big-league innings this year but toiled with a 6.46 ERA last season.

Rodney pitched a scoreless ninth inning to secure his ninth save of the season in Thursday's 2-1 victory over the Pirates. He walked one and struck out one during the appearance.

Rodney has had his ups and downs in closing out games this season, but he ensured that starter Zack Greinke's one-hit performance over eight innings wouldn't go to waste. The veteran closer was able to retire the first two batters of the inning before walking Josh Harrison, who was then nabbed trying to steal second base to end the game. Rodney looked like he could be on the cusp of losing his job as the Diamondbacks' closer after surrendering eight combined runs over 1.2 innings in two appearances to close out April, but he's since righted the ship by not allowing any hits while converting each of his last three save opportunities.

Hoffman (1-0) struck out eight and gave up three earned runs on six hits and two walks over 5.1 innings in Thursday's 10-7 win over the Dodgers.

Hoffman was a last-minute starter in place of Tyler Anderson, whose turn was moved back to Saturday. The 24-year-old righty was able to carry over the momentum he'd been generating at Triple-A Albuquerque, where he'd managed a 3.71 ERA and 1.12 WHIP over 34.0 innings. Hoffman fired 58 of 86 pitches for strikes and notched 14 swinging strikes overall while allowing just one home run, a solo shot to Scott Van Slyke in the fifth. His return to the minors may be imminent, but his performance certainly provided reason for optimism.
