Melancon collected his eighth save of the season during Saturday's extra-innings win over St. Louis.

The veteran had to work out of some trouble Saturday, as he allowed a run on two hits, but Melancon promptly closed the door before the game was in jeopardy. Melancon returned from the disabled list Wednesday, and he's now collected a save in consecutive games. It appears he's past the elbow injury that required the DL stint. For the year, Melancon sports a 2.84 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 7.1 K/9 to go along with his eight saves.

Adleman (2-2) allowed six runs on seven hits and four walks while striking out four over 4.2 innings in a no-decision against the Rockies on Saturday.

Adleman allowed two runs in the first four innings before he completely fell apart in the fifth inning, but the offense bailed him out by scoring six runs in the sixth inning, keeping him from being saddled with a loss. After a strong start to the season, he's allowed 11 earned runs over his last three starts to raise his ERA to 6.19, making him a weak fantasy option. He'll make his next start Thursday against the Indians.

Bracho was optioned to Triple-A Reno after Friday's game against the Padres, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

He was sent down to clear room on the roster for Chris Iannetta, who was activated from the 7-day disabled list. Bracho made just one appearance during his brief stint with the big club, allowing two runs in one inning while striking out the side.

Jackson was recalled by the Braves on Saturday.

With Eric O'Flaherty landing on the disabled list, the Braves replenished their bullpen depth by bringing up Jackson. The 25-year-old Jackson has made just three appearances with the big-league club this season, all of them coming in April. He notched a 6.35 ERA with a 1.71 WHIP at Triple-A Gwinnett across seven appearances. Jackson figures to assume a low-leverage relief role while he's up with the Braves.

Melancon allowed a hit in a scoreless ninth inning Friday to pick up his seventh save of the season.

An elbow injury and the Giants' slow start have combined to limit Melancon's value somewhat this season, but the veteran closer still has a solid 10:1 K:BB through 11.2 innings to go along with a 2.31 ERA that's right in line with his career track record.

Moore (2-4) gave up two runs on five hits and three walks over six innings while striking out five in a no-decision against the Cardinals on Friday.

The Giants scored all six of their runs after Moore was out of the game, so despite his strong effort, he was never in line for the victory. The left-hander seems to be settling down after his rough start to the season and now has a 2.89 ERA and 17:7 K:BB over his last three outings, although his 1.45 WHIP during that stretch is shaky. He'll face a tough test Wednesday on the road against a Cubs team that ranks fifth in the league in wOBA (.342) against southpaws.

Gomez (elbow) threw a bullpen session Thursday and will throw a second one in the coming days, Corey Seidman of CSN Philadelphia reports.

Manager Pete Mackanin said there is a chance Gomez can return to the Phillies' active roster next week without a rehab assignment. He has been sidelined with an elbow impingement.

Torres allowed one hit while tossing a shutout inning to notch his first save Friday against the Cubs.

Torres was protecting a three-run lead, and easily converted his first save of the year. This was a rare save opportunity for him, and he'll likely continue to work in a setup role unless the Brewers bullpen develops injury concerns.

Adleman (neck) is expected to make his next start Saturday against the Rockies, John Jackson of MLB.com reports.

Adleman left his start Sunday with neck tightness, forcing him to push his next scheduled appearance back from Friday, but it seems he's good to return to action after some extra rest. The right-hander owns a 5.27 ERA and a 26:8 K:BB over six starts this year. Lisalverto Bonilla, who held the Giants to three runs over eight innings in his season debut last Saturday, will get another opportunity in the starting rotation for Friday's series opener against Colorado.

Stewart (shoulder) threw two innings in an extended spring training game Thursday, J.P. Hoornstra of The Orange County Register reports.

Manager Dave Roberts said Stewart "came out well" in the appearance, but noted room for improvement. "Hopefully we'll continue to build him up to four, potentially five innings," said Roberts, "We see him as a starter but obviously can use him in the 'pen for long relief." The young right-hander made seven appearances with the Dodgers last season and posted a 2.49 ERA and a 0.93 WHIP over nine starts for Triple-A Oklahoma City, so there's certainly evidence of potential, but he'll need to build up his arm strength before making an impact this year.
