Suter (0-1) allowed three runs on five hits and one walk during Tuesday's loss to the Cardinals. He struck out two.

Suter, who was a late fill-in for Brandon Woodruff in this one, cruised until the fifth inning, when he allowed three runs on four hits before he was lifted with two outs. He pitched quite well until seemingly wearing down, throwing 68 percent of his pitches for strikes and inducing nine groundball outs. Suter now owns an inauspicious 5.25 ERA this season at the big-league level and seems likely to rejoin Triple-A Colorado Springs, but perhaps this outing will keep him in contention to start again if another emergency situation arises.

Suter will start Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Cardinals.

Suter will start in place of Brandon Woodruff, who was a late scratch with a tight hamstring. While Suter has worked as a starter for Triple-A Colorado Springs, he has only pitched out of bullpen for the Brewers this season. The southpaw, who owns a 4.91 ERA in 7.1 major-league innings this season, will match up against Lance Lynn in his first start of the season.

Ortiz was placed on the minor-league disabled list with a hamstring injury.

It's unclear when the issue cropped up on Ortiz or how serious it is at this point, but he was forced to miss a little time earlier in the season due to a hamstring issue. Ortiz, one of the Brewers' top prospects, owns a 3.02 ERA and 1.10 WHIP through 11 starts (53.2 innings) with Double-A Biloxi this season. An update regarding his condition should become available as the Brewers release more on his status.

Suter was called up from Triple-A Colorado Springs to serve as the 26th man for Tuesday's doubleheader against the Cardinals.

The 27-year-old lefty has been up and down a couple times already this season, and this latest appearance with the big-league club figures to be a short stint. He has a 4.91 ERA in 7.1 innings in the big leagues and a 4.11 ERA in 35 innings at Triple-A. Look for him to serve as the long man if either of Tuesday's starters (Brandon Woodruff and Jimmy Nelson) fail to go deep into their starts.

Nelson will start Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Cardinals.

Manager Craig Counsell had previously indicated that Nelson would start one game of the twin bill, but didn't specify which one. After the team formally purchased Brandon Woodruff's contract from Triple-A Colorado Springs on Tuesday and named him the starter for Game 1, Nelson will be asked to handle the nightcap. Nelson is slated to match up with Marco Gonzales, who like Woodruff, is also making his first start of the season at the MLB level.

Jansen fired a perfect inning en route to his 11th save of the season in Sunday's comeback win over the Reds.

The dominant closer has now converted three saves over his last four appearances after only receiving one save opportunity over his previous 11 outings. Jansen doesn't have control over the scripts of the games he enters, but he's been doing his part whenever the team has called upon him, posting a career-best 1.03 ERA and 14.7 K/9 without issuing a single walk.

Lamet (2-2) surrendered seven runs (three home runs) while striking out six over five innings in a loss to the Royals on Sunday.

The rookie has fallen back down to Earth in his last two outings after impressing in his first two major-league starts this season. Teams appear to have become more aggressive early in the count against the aggressive starter (56 of 84 pitches for strikes), and it's now Lamet's turn to make the proper adjustments to end his two-game skid. The 24-year-old has the repertoire to be a useful starter in fantasy, but in most formats, it would be wise to let him work out his kinks either on the bench or on the waiver wire.

Gott will be recalled from Triple-A ahead of Monday's contest against the Braves, Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports reports.

Gott has found success with Triple-A Syracuse so far this season, compiling a 3.30 ERA and 28:6 K:BB across 30 innings pitched (23 appearances). The 24-year-old owns a combined 2.85 ERA in the majors over the past two seasons (53.2 innings), and although it's a small sample size, he could still see some high-leverage innings, given the Nationals' bullpen injuries and struggles. A corresponding move will likely be announced prior to Monday's series opener.

Bracho gave up a solo home run and struck out a batter in the ninth inning of Sunday's 11-1 win over the Brewers.

The Diamondbacks saved Bracho for mop-up duty in the blowout victory, and it's unlikely that the reliever will graduate from low-leverage work so long as the bullpen retains relatively sound health. Over four stints in the big leagues this season, Bracho has made six appearances, tossing six innings and giving up six runs while striking out eight batters.

Neris allowed a run on two hits and a walk during the eighth inning of Sunday's loss to St. Louis.

Neris has allowed three runs on eight hits and a walk through three innings and four appearances in June, and manager Pete Mackanin recently noted that Neris wouldn't have been called upon for a save opportunity in Wednesday's game. The 27-year-old righty's struggles are a concern, and with a 3.62 ERA and 1.32 WHIP, his ratios hardly move the fantasy needle if they're not accompanied by saves. It's probably not the time to make a hasty roster decision, but fantasy owners will want to keep an eye on Mackanin's bullpen usage going forward.
