Edwards (2-0) snagged a win in relief Sunday against the Rockies. He pitched 1.2 scoreless innings, allowing a lone hit and striking out two.

With Cubs starter Jake Arrieta going just 4.1 innings, Edwards came on in the fifth and pitched well. He's been quite effective for Chicago this season, as Edwards is now sporting a 1.07 ERA and 0.75 WHIP to go along with 36 strikeouts in 25.1 innings. Edwards will continue pitching in a setup role, but he could be an option for saves if Wade Davis has to miss any time.

Bard signed a minor-league deal Sunday with the Mets, SB Nation's Chris Cotillo reports.

The Cardinals released Bard on May 23, so it did not take too long for Bard to find a new home. Right now, it appears this is a move to provide some organizational depth for a team that seemingly always has an important arm or two hurt. The right-hander has not pitched in the majors since 2013 and had a 10.38 ERA with a 2.88 WHIP with Double-A Springfield before his release.

Maton had his contract selected by the Padres on Sunday.

Maton was picked in the 20th round of the 2015 draft and has breezed through the minors during his first three years of professional baseball. Over 25.1 innings of relief with Triple-A El Paso this season, the 24-year-old has posted a 2.84 ERA with a gaudy 29.8 strikeout percentage. He has been a dominant professional pitcher and will have the opportunity to display his prowess with the Padres moving forward.

Rodney worked around a walk to turn in a scoreless ninth and collect his 16th save of the season in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Brewers.

With another clean frame Saturday, Rodney has now tossed 12.2 consecutive scoreless innings, though he did blow one of his 11 save chances during that span. Rodney's 5.56 ERA and 1.37 WHIP are still unsightly, but with most of the damage to those two categories coming in April, the 40-year-old looks to be fairly stable in his role as the team's closer.

Hoffman (4-0) allowed a single run on four hits and a walk while striking out eight batters over 6.1 innings during Saturday's win over the Cubs.

This was just the fifth appearance and fourth start of the season for Hoffman, and he's allowed only seven runs through 27 innings for a sterling 2.33 ERA and 0.74 WHIP with 34 strikeouts and just three walks. The 2014 first-round pick has certainly pitched well enough to stick in the rotation, and his fantasy value is trending up. It's also worth noting that the wind was howling out at Wrigley Field on Saturday, so dominating the defending champions was all the more impressive. A date with the pedestrian Giants at Coors Field is up next if Hoffman sticks in the rotation for another turn.

Pivetta (1-3) allowed four runs on four hits and four walks while striking out just two batters through five innings during Saturday's loss to St. Louis.

With a 5.52 ERA and 1.77 WHIP through six starts, Pivetta currently appears outclassed at the highest level. The 24-year-old righty has only made 10 Triple-A starts, so more fine-tuning in the minors may be needed before he's a reliable fantasy option, and he's off the fantasy grid until proven otherwise at this point. Pivetta lines up for a tough matchup against the Red Sox at Citizens Bank Park in his next start.

Gsellman (5-3) pitched 6.2 scoreless innings with just three hits and two walks allowed while striking out four batters during Saturday's win over Atlanta during the first game of their doubleheader.

This was easily the best start of the season for Gsellman, and it bodes well for his chances of sticking in the rotation for another turn. He sports a 4.95 ERA and 1.46 WHIP with 48 strikeouts through 63.2 innings, so he's hardly a go-to fantasy option, but he has been much better of late. Unfortunately, Gsellman will get the Nats his next time out, assuming he continues on in the rotation.

Strop retired just one batter in Saturday's loss to the Rockies, while allowing three runs on four hits.

The entire Chicago bullpen struggled, allowing six runs in just four innings. Strop gave up four hits in a row along with a wild pitch upon entering the game, and his ERA jumped from 2.53 to 3.74 in the process. He'll look to rebound in his next outing.

Hand struck out two over a scoreless inning on the way to his eighth hold of the season Friday.

Despite posting far better results, it appears Hand has fully moved back into his usual setup role in San Diego with Brandon Maurer converting the team's last five saves. While his run as the team's closer was short-lived, he is the clear favorite to assume the role should Maurer and his 6.48 ERA falter again.

Maurer picked up his 10th save of the season Friday, tossing a clean inning in a 6-3 win over the Royals.

The 26-year-old converted his 10th save with little trouble just a day after he failed to record an out in an ugly four-run outing against the Diamondbacks on Thursday. Maurer has a tendency to get blown up in non-save situations -- which severely limits his fantasy value -- but the fact remains that he has converted five straight save opportunities since briefly being removed from the role at the end of May. He is the pitcher to own in San Diego for those hunting for saves.
