Leiter is in line to get the start against the Diamondbacks on Friday, Ryan Lawrence of The Philly Voice reports.

The Phillies will likely call up Leiter for his first start at the major-league level within the next 24 hours. Tom Eshelman is also a candidate for the bump on Friday, but he is scheduled to pitch at Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Thursday. During 12 appearances with Philadelphia this season, Leiter has compiled a 4.74 ERA with a 12:14 K:BB in 19 innings of relief work. This start would come due to Jerad Eickhoff's back injury that has placed the right-hander on the disabled list. If Leiter winds up being the man for Friday's contest, he could earn another start with a good outing while Eickhoff recovers.

Barraclough (3-1) walked one and struck out one in a scoreless eighth inning Wednesday to pick up the win in a 2-1 victory over the Nationals.

It was the first batter he'd walked in his last seven appearances, as Barraclough seems to be getting a handle on the control issues that have left him with a 6.4 BB/9 and 1.52 WHIP on the season. If he's able to limit the free passes while still striking out batters, the 27-year-old could work his way back into the discussion as a possible closing option for the Marlins down the road.

Jackson walked one and struck out one while recording the final two outs of the 11th inning Wednesday and was made a winner when Matt Kemp launched a walkoff homer in the bottom half of the frame.

It's his second big-league win, and the 25-year-old continues to give the Braves serviceable innings in a low-leverage role. Jackson's 3.93 ERA doesn't reflect how consistent he's been since his promotion in mid-April, as five of the eight earned runs he's allowed came in one bad outing against the Mets. His 5.9 K/9 will need to improve if he's going to climb the ladder in Atlanta's bullpen hierarchy, however.

Neris allowed a solo home run to Tommy Pham and blew his third save of the season in Wednesday's 7-6 loss to the Cardinals.

This was Neris' second blown save in his last three games. His ratios are solid overall, but he's not quite as dominant as last season when he had an 11.4 K/9. Manager Pete Mackanin could consider going with Pat Neshek to close given Neris' struggles of late.

Lamet will swap spots in the rotation with Luis Perdomo, pushing his next start back to Saturday against the Tigers, MLB.com's AJ Cassavell reports.

There is no official word on why the change was made, but Cassavell speculates that it was to align the rotation so that the rookie receives extra rest over the All-Star break. Lamet has struggled through five starts (7.50 ERA), but he has flashed upside with 37 punchouts over 24.0 innings.

Pivetta allowed three runs on four hits and a walk while striking out 10 over six innings Wednesday but came away with a no-decision in a 7-6 loss to the Cardinals.

He left the game in line for his second win after throwing 70 of 103 pitches for strikes, but the Phillies' bullpen fell apart after Pivetta's exit. The 10 strikeouts were a career high for the 24-year-old, and he now sports a 9.8 K/9 through his first eight big-league starts. He'll get a tough test his next time out Monday on the road against the Diamondbacks.

Hoffman (4-1) gave up nine runs on eight hits over 3.2 innings in Wednesday's 16-5 loss to Arizona. He struck out two and walked two.

A Rockies starter with a 2.25 ERA in his first six outings? A painful dose of reality had to be expected, and the D-Backs delivered it all at once. Hoffman held them scoreless through three innings at Coors Field, only to end up on the hook for the first nine runs of a 10-run fourth inning. Still, Hoffman had previously turned in impressive work over the course of his second taste of the majors, and his next start will come on the road Monday against the struggling Giants offense.

Stewart was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Wednesday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

After notching a three-inning save in Tuesday's win over the Mets, Stewart was sent back to Oklahoma City in order to bring in Brandon Morrow to offer a fresh arm out of the bullpen. Stewart should be back up once the Dodgers need another bullpen arm.

Suter was recalled from Triple-A Colorado Springs on Wednesday.

With Wily Peralta landing on the disabled list with a calf strain, Suter was added to the roster to take his place in the bullpen. Suter has already seen some time with the Brewers this season, compiling a 5.25 ERA and 7:5 K:BB in 12 innings (4.2 as a starter). He'll serve in a long relief role out of the Brewers' bullpen.

Maurer recorded the final two outs of Wednesday's game against the Cubs for his 13th save of the season.

Brad Hand began the ninth with Anthony Rizzo due up, but then Maurer came on to face Kris Bryant and Kyle Schwarber. Maurer has been a little shaky in a couple recent non-save situations, but he's been excellent with the game on the line over the past month or so. The right-hander is clearly the preferred ninth-inning option in San Diego.
