Nelson (9-5) allowed one run on six hits and two walks over eight innings in Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Rays. He struck out nine and did not factor into the decision.

Nelson outdueled Chris Archer on Sunday, but was stuck with a tough no-decision as the Brewers' ice-cold offense could only manufacture one run and ultimately lost the game on a walkoff home run by Steven Souza in the bottom of the ninth. Nelson lowered his season ERA to 3.24 and has positioned himself as one of the most reliable starting pitchers in the National League this season. The ace's next start will come against the Reds on Friday.

Stephenson was placed on the 10-day disabled list Sunday due to a right shoulder contusion.

Although Stephenson managed to navigate 5.2 innings during his previous start in Pittsburgh, he actually injured his shoulder diving for a ball in that contest. However, John Fay of WCPO.com doesn't believe the injury is very serious, meaning that the right-hander likely will only miss one turn of the rotation. To replace him on the active roster, Lisalverto Bonilla was called up from Louisville.

Hand pitched a perfect inning while striking out one to earn his eighth save Saturday against the Pirates.

Hand was protecting a three-run lead and needed just 12 pitches to shut down the Pirates. Since moving to the closer role on July 23, he's converted each of his five save opportunities, and on the season he owns a 1.93 ERA to go along with a 0.93 WHIP.

Lamet (6-4) pitched 5.2 scoreless innings on one hit and three walks while striking out five to earn the win Saturday against the Pirates.

Lamet left with a three-run lead, and although the bullpen made it interesting, the Padres hung on to win. He's now thrown three consecutive quality starts to lower his ERA from 6.40 to 5.12, and he's emerging as a possible fantasy option. He'll make his next start Thursday against the Reds.

Pivetta (4-7) surrendered eight runs (six earned) on seven hits and one walk over just 2.2 innings against the Rockies on Saturday.

The young right-hander got in trouble early and often in this one, allowing the first four Rockies to reach base en route to a five-run first inning. Following a quiet second frame, Pivetta allowed a sacrifice fly to Carlos Gonzalez in the third before serving up a two-run blast to Pat Valaika, initiating his removal from the game. Starts away from the home confines of Citizens Bank Park have wreaked havoc on the young pitcher this season, as he owns a 6.70 ERA and 37:29 K:BB over nine starts on the road compared to 3.89 and 46:5 in six home starts. His next start, fortunately, comes at home against the Mets on Friday.

Barraclough (shoulder) threw a 20-pitch bullpen session Friday, his first since being placed on the disabled list, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.

The short session was a big first step in the recovery process for Barraclough, who hasn't pitched since July 24 while dealing with a right shoulder impingement. Frisaro reports that the next step for the reliever will be a throwing session off the mound Monday, though it's still unclear as to when he could return from the DL. Brad Ziegler will continue holding down closing duties for the time being.

Estevez was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque on Saturday.

He has been up and down from Triple-A this season, and despite owning an 8.10 ERA in 16.2 innings in the majors in 2017, his 3.03 FIP and 18 strikeouts suggest he could be much more reliable going forward. Look for him to work primarily in low-leverage spots.

Kontos was claimed off waivers by the Pirates on Saturday.

He was on track to be non-tendered by the Giants at the end of the year, but the Pirates swooped in and gave him a spot on their 40-man roster. Kontos notched a 3.83 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 55 strikeouts in 51.2 innings for the Giants this season.

Robles' (fatigue) MRI revealed no structural damage, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Robles left Friday's game with numbness in his right hand and an issue in his groin area, but appears to be okay after an MRI. The Mets have said he is suffering from general fatigue and will not be moved off the active roster, but he'll likely receive a few days of rest to recover.

Garcia was tagged with his third loss of the season after allowing a run on two walks and a hit in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Rockies.

Garcia has moved into a setup role after the departures of Pat Neshek and Joaquin Benoit. He has hit a bit of a rough patch of late, having allowed runs in three of his last four appearances. The Phillies recently brought Edubray Ramos back from the minors and could move him into the eighth-inning role if Garcia's struggles continue.
