Neris struck out the side in a clean inning of work to earn his 25th save of the season Tuesday against the Nationals.

Neris was electric in this one, inducing five swinging strikes as he mowed down the side in order. He has now pitched four straight scoreless innings, converting three saves while posting a sterling 8:0 K:BB. After some early struggles, Neris has blossomed into a useful fantasy reliever and will look to finish the season on a high note.

Montero gave up three runs on eight hits and two walks with three strikeouts over six innings in a no-decision against the Braves on Tuesday. He also hit a batter.

He met the minimum standards for a quality start, which is about as much as you can ask from Montero if you're desperate enough to use him in fantasy. The Mets have only four games left, so his season is almost surely over; the 26-year-old righty thus finishes with a 5-11 record, 5.26 ERA and 1.72 WHIP over 116.1 innings (18 starts, 15 relief appearances).

Wittgren announced on Instagram that he underwent surgery Tuesday to remove a bone spur from his elbow.

Wittgren was placed on the disabled list on July 28 after suffering a right elbow strain. He struggled out of the bullpen this year, posting a 4.68 ERA across 42.1 innings. The 26-year-old was used primarily in low-leverage situations, and it seems likely that he'll stay in that role next season.

Banda threw a pair of scoreless innings in Monday's 9-2 loss to the Giants. He gave up one hit and struck out two batters.

After making spot starts in each of his first four appearances with the big club this season, Banda has been relegated to a long-relief role since his Sept. 9 promotion to the Diamondbacks. Though Banda has looked strong in both of his appearances in September, the likelihood that fifth starter Patrick Corbin will move to the bullpen in the postseason to serve as the Diamondbacks' primary long reliever probably takes the rookie out of contention for a spot on the playoff roster.

Barraclough pitched a scoreless ninth inning with a strikeout to collect his first save of the season during Monday's win over Colorado.

The hard-throwing righty has been solid since returning from injury Aug. 15 with a 2.41 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 12.1 K/9. The Marlins haven't landed in many save situations of late, but Barraclough could be first in line to close out games when the opportunities present themselves.

Sims (3-5) allowed two runs on five hits and two walks with six strikeouts through 6.2 innings to earn the win in the first game of Monday's doubleheader against the Mets.

This marks Sims' longest start of the season and his first quality start since Aug. 22 against Seattle. Sims has allowed just three runs over 11.2 innings with 12 strikeouts over his past two starts and is making a strong case for a chance at a rotation job next season.

Brebbia recorded two strikeouts and allowed a hit over a scoreless inning in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Pirates.

The right-handed reliever fired 10 of 13 pitches for strikes while putting together his sixth straight scoreless effort. The 27-year-old right-hander has been one of the season's pleasant surprises for the Cardinals, as he's now boasting a 2.25 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 47 strikeouts along with five holds over 48 innings. Brebbia is finishing the season strong, as he has a 2.00 ERA and 15:4 K:BB in nine innings across his last 10 appearances.

Rodney was credited with the win in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Marlins after tossing a scoreless ninth inning and striking out two batters.

Rodney and relievers Andrew Chafin and Jimmie Sherfy combined for 2.1 no-hit innings before teammate J.D. Martinez supplied a walkoff RBI single in the bottom of the ninth to give the Diamondbacks their 90th victory of the season. Arizona's winning ways have afforded Rodney ample opportunities throughout the campaign to close out games, with the veteran's 39 saves placing him fourth in the majors.

Neris allowed two hits while striking out three in a scoreless ninth inning to pick up his 24th save in Sunday's 2-0 win at Atlanta.

Neris worked around a pair of singles to preserve a shutout started by Nick Pivetta. His three strikeouts in this one raised the closer's K:BB to 80:26 in 71.2 innings. Neris has converted 18 consecutive save opportunities to improve to 24-for-27 on the season.

Pivetta (7-10) notched the win in Sunday's 2-0 victory over Atlanta, allowing five hits while walking one and striking out four over six shutout innings.

Pivetta's picked up consecutive victories while logging quality starts in each, making a complete 180 after allowing 13 runs in 10 innings over his previous two starts. The rookie right-hander hasn't pitched more than six innings in any of his past 14 outings but has excellent strikeout upside given his 9.4 K/9. He's scheduled to start next Sunday's season finale against the Mets.
