Rockies' Jeff Hoffman: Starts against Mariners on Friday
Hoffman will be recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque and take the mound versus Seattle on Friday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Antonio Senzatela was scratched from the start due to a right middle finger blister. Across five appearances with the Rockies this year, Hoffman has posted a 10.13 ERA over 5.1 innings of relief. This will be his first major-league start of the year, though he's served exclusively as a starter for Albuquerque this season.

Clay Holmes SP | CHC
Pirates' Clay Holmes: To start against Brewers on Saturday
Holmes will take the mound for the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against Milwaukee, Adam Berry of MLB.com reports.
Holmes recently made a spot start versus the Dodgers earlier this month, during which he allowed four earned runs on five hits and three walks while striking out two across just 2.1 innings. He fared much better against High-A Lakeland on Monday, giving up just one run over six innings. The Pirates will officially recall him prior to Saturday's contest.

Tanner Rainey RP | DET
Reds' Tanner Rainey: Optioned to Triple-A
Rainey was optioned to Triple-A Louisville on Friday.
Rainey made a pair of appearances during his latest stint with the Reds, giving up an incredible 10 runs in a total of just one inning. His season ERA now sits at 24.43 through seven innings. He's given much more reason for optimism at the Triple-A level, though, tossing 28.2 innings with a 1.57 ERA, but even there, his walk rate sits at an untenable 18.3 percent. Austin Brice was recalled in a corresponding move.

Dodgers' Kenley Jansen: Records 26th save
Jansen allowed one walk and struck out one in a scoreless ninth inning to record his 26th save of the season Thursday against the Padres.
Jansen walked the second batter he faced in the ninth inning, but induced two flyouts to end the game. Despite a bumpy start to the season, he now leads the National League in saves and has his ratios approaching the incredible level that he had maintained over the past three seasons.

He cruised through five scoreless innings before allowing a run in the sixth and was later chased by a two-run homer by Trey Mancini in the seventh. The 6-foot-5 right-hander owns a 4.58 ERA and 113:30 K:BB in 96.1 innings this season. He'll take the mound in a home contest against San Diego next Saturday (July 21).

Seranthony Dominguez RP | SEA
Phillies' Seranthony Dominguez: Locks down ninth save
Dominguez tossed a perfect ninth inning, striking out one and earning his ninth save in the 5-4 win over Philadelphia on Thursday.
With Philadelphia still using a committee in the closer role, Dominguez could start carving out a bigger share of the opportunities. He hasn't allowed a run since June 24, throwing 10 scoreless innings and lowering his ERA to 1.60 in the process. The 23-year-old will continue battling with Victor Arano for save opportunities.
