Andriese allowed three hits and one walk while striking out three over three innings to earn his first save in Friday's 8-3 win over the Cubs.

Andriese, a former starter, has been filling a long-relief role for the Diamondbacks. Seven of his nine appearances have lasted at least two innings. The right-hander is 3-0 with an 18:8 K:BB over 16.2 innings.

Yates struck out the side but also allowed three baserunners while recording his 13th save of the season in a 4-3 victory against the Nationals on Friday.

The 32-year-old's struggle with control made things interesting in the ninth. Yates threw only 13 strikes out of 28 pitches. After striking out the first two batters, Yan Gomes singled, and then Yates walked the next two batters. He recorded one more strikeout, though, to end the game. Close calls like these have been rare for the 32-year-old in 2019. He is 13-for-13 in save opportunities with a 0.60 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 23 strikeouts in 15 innings this season.

Straham allowed two runs on four hits with eight strikeouts and no walks across six innings in a no-decision against the Nationals on Friday.

The 27-year-old again settled for a no-decision despite another very strong start. That's become all too common for Straham unfortunately, who is 0-1 with three no-decisions in his last four outings despite posting a 1.50 ERA since a rough first start of the season. He is 0-2 with a 3.04 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 21 strikeouts in 26.2 innings this year. His next start will be on the road against the Braves on Wednesday.

Nelson (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A San Antonio on Sunday, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

This is big news for Nelson, who has finally been given the green light to move on from extended spring training. He'll likely need at least a couple starts with the Missions before the Brewers consider activating him from the injured list.

Quijada was optioned to Triple-A New Orleans on Friday, Andre Fernandez of The Athletic reports.

Quijada's stay on the big-league roster lasted three days. He threw one scoreless inning split over two appearances, striking out three. Jarlin Garcia was reinstated from the paternity list in a corresponding move.

Neris (0-1) allowed two runs on four hits while striking out two over 1.2 innings to take the loss Thursday against the Marlins.

Neris entered a tie game in the top of the ninth inning and nearly took the loss in that frame, but a strong throw from Nick Williams nailed Miguel Rojas at the plate for the third out. He got the first two outs in the 10th before a Neil Walker double and a Starlin Castro homer gave the Marlins the win. The outing ends an excellent run in which Neris allowed just two hits and zero runs in nine consecutive appearances. He still has strong numbers on the season, backing up his 3.18 ERA with a 38.6 percent strikeout rate and a 4.6 percent walk rate.

Hernandez relieved Luis Castillo in the seventh inning a bases-loaded, no-out situation and struck out the side in Thursday's win over the Braves, preserving a 3-0 lead at the time.

Hernandez rose to the challenge in the biggest sequence in the game, striking out Dansby Swanson, Ender Inciarte and Ozzie Albies to get the Reds out of a jam. He picked up his fourth hold of the season and improved his K:BB to 10:5 over 10.2 innings.

Iglesias allowed one hit and one walk while striking out two across 1.2 innings to earn his sixth save Thursday against the Braves.

Iglesias came in with one out in the eighth inning after Zach Duke allowed a two-run homer to bring the Reds' lead down to one. While he allowed two baserunners, Iglesias had little trouble closing out the game with only one runner reaching scoring position on fielder's indifference. After starting the season with some poor efforts, Iglesias has now turned in five consecutive scoreless outings and has his ERA down to 3.65 paired with a 1.30 WHIP.

Floro is dealing with a sore shoulder, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Floro got hit in the shoulder during batting practice earlier in the week, which explains why he wasn't used during the team's most recent series against the Cubs. The right-hander downplayed the severity of the issue, stating that he's confident he'll be available for Friday's series opener against the Pirates.
