Hicks, who most recently allowed a hit and a walk while recording a strikeout over an inning in a loss to the Pirates last Friday, hasn't seen a save opportunity since April 29.

The hard-throwing closer does have six straight scoreless appearances and has already compiled 20 strikeouts over 14.1 innings for the season, yet his fantasy owners have been left in the lurch when it comes to saves recently. Hicks remains the unquestioned ninth-inning option for manager Mike Shildt, but a combination of a poor stretch of play by the Cardinals and a pair of blowout victories during that span have conspired to leave him without any save opportunities.

Beede was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento on Wednesday, Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Beede made one start and a pair of relief appearances in his time with the Giants. He failed to impress, allowing 11 runs (10 earned) with an 18.6 percent walk rate over 6.2 innings. Shaun Anderson was called up for his MLB debut in a corresponding move.

Webb, who most recently allowed two earned runs and a walk without recording an out in a loss to the Pirates last Sunday, owns a 6.52 ERA and 1.03 WHIP through 9.2 innings this season.

The veteran southpaw appeared to be hitting his stride heading into the aforementioned blowup against Pittsburgh, as he'd entered that outing with five consecutive scoreless appearances. Webb has now seen a solid stretch of efforts interrupted by a multi-earned-run outing on two occasions this season, helping lead to an inflated ERA.

Gallegos, who fired a clean inning during which he recorded two strikeouts in a win over the Braves on Tuesday, owns a 4.50 ERA and 1.06 WHIP across 16 innings in 2019.

Gallegos' solid effort Tuesday came in the wake of the 27-year-old allowing a combined three earned runs over his prior two appearances. The right-hander is in his second big-league stint of the season and could shuttle between the majors and Triple-A Memphis over the rest of the season.

Leone, who fired a scoreless eighth inning in which he allowed a walk and recorded two strikeouts during a win over the Braves on Tuesday, has a 7.78 ERA and 1.58 WHIP across 19.2 innings this season.

Leone already has a pair of six-run blowups on his 2019 ledger, the most recent coming four appearances ago versus the Cubs. He's bounced back from that meltdown to pitch four innings of two-hit, one-run ball over the subsequent trio of outings, although his numbers still have plenty of room for improvement. Leone has allowed multiple earned runs in four appearances overall, but he's countered that with 14 scoreless efforts, including three of the multi-inning variety.

Holmes was optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis on Wednesday.

Holmes spent six days in Pittsburgh, allowing four runs (three earned) in four innings of work. He'll make way for Chris Archer, who returns from his thumb injury to start Wednesday against Arizona.

Wilson (elbow) is expected to rest for the next 2-to-3 days before likely resuming a throwing program over the weekend, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

The Mets placed Wilson on the injured list Saturday for the second time this season due to left elbow discomfort. Fortunately for the reliever, he's not dealing with any structural damage and should face a similar recovery timeline for the injury as he did earlier in the campaign. During that first IL stint, Wilson was sidelined for just over the minimum 10 days before rejoining the New York bullpen.

Kay tossed a seven-inning shutout for Double-A Binghamton on Tuesday, allowing three hits and a walk while striking out eight.

The 24-year-old has dazzled to start the season, giving up one run or less in seven of his eight starts so far. Kay is now second in the Eastern League in ERA (1.24), third in WHIP (0.87), and sixth in strikeouts (45). Given his age, a promotion to Triple-A could be on the horizon for the Mets' No. 4 fantasy prospect.

Beede held the Blue Jays to one run on four hits and three walks with five strikeouts over 2.1 innings in Tuesday's 7-3 loss.

Beede was the first arm out of the bullpen following opener Nick Vincent. The 25-year-old entered the contest with a sky-high 18.69 ERA over his previous two starts, so this outing was certainly a step in the right direction. That said, seven baserunners and 61 pitches to record seven outs is not the kind of production that inspires confidence. It is unclear if Beede will get another "start" with the club's rotation in disarray, but if he does, it will come Sunday on the road against Arizona.

Peralta struck out the side in his one inning pitched Tuesday night against the Cubs.

With the outing Peralta's ERA dropped to 3.14 and his WHIP went down to 1.12, and he has a 13:5 K:BB over 14.1 innings. He's usually pitching when the Reds are trailing, as he did Tuesday, so he has no saves and only one hold.
