The Braves promoted Davidson from Double-A Mississippi to Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Davidson was one of a quartet of well-regarded Atlanta prospects to make the move to the International League, with pitcher Ian Anderson and outfielders Cristian Pache and Drew Waters also receiving callups. The 23-year-old lefty supplied a 2.03 ERA and 122:45 K:BB in 110.2 innings at Mississippi.

Stanek (hip) was activated off the 10-day injured list Monday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Stanek had been out since mid-July due to right hip soreness. He struggled at the very end of his tenure in Tampa, allowing seven runs in his final seven innings, but his overall 3.40 ERA was quite respectable. The closing role is wide open in Miami after Sergio Romo and Nick Anderson were traded at the deadline, and Stanek could get the chance to stake his claim at some point. According to Craig Mish of FNTSY Sports Radio, the Marlins plan on deploying Stanek in high-leverage spots right away.

Ginkel will be called up from Triple-A Reno ahead of Monday's game against the Phillies, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.

The Diamondbacks already cleared a spot for Ginkel on the 40-man and active rosters by designating reliever Zack Godley for assignment following Sunday's 7-5 win over the Nationals. Ginkel had been working as the closer at Reno, posting a 1.78 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 63:14 K:BB in 35.1 innings while converting 11 of 12 save chances and holding opponents to a .157 batting average. The right-hander could claim a setup gig in front of Archie Bradley, who appears to have emerged as the Diamondbacks' leading candidate to close after Greg Holland was recently pulled from the role.

Torres agreed Monday with the Giants on a minor-league contract, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic reports.

Torres will move on to his fourth organization of the season after stints with the Padres, Tigers and Twins. The veteran right-hander saw his only MLB action with Detroit, appearing in four games in June and surrendering five earned runs over six frames. The 36-year-old will likely have difficulty cracking the San Francisco bullpen while he lacks a 40-man roster spot, but he'll at least provide some extra depth at Triple-A Sacramento after the organization traded away Ray Black and three other big-league relievers last week.

Yates (0-3) was charged with the blown save and suffered the loss against the Dodgers on Sunday, pitching two-thirds of an inning and giving up two runs (one earned) on two hits.

Yates came on in the eighth inning and squelched a Dodgers rally by retiring Will Smith with a pair of runners on base but couldn't close out the win in the ninth. He opened the frame by giving up a double to Joc Pederson, who was subsequently thrown out at third on a fielder's choice. Unfortunately, Luis Urias couldn't handle a potential double-play groundball that may have ended the game, setting up a Max Muncy walk-off double. Despite the blown save (his third of the season), Yates remains one of baseball's most dominant closers as evidenced by his 1.18 ERA, 0.85 WHIP, 14.4 K/9 and 32 saves this season.

Beede (3-6) yielded five runs on eight hits and two walks over 3.2 innings Sunday, striking out three batters and taking the loss against Colorado.

Beede got roughed up early, allowing homers to Trevor Story and Nolan Arenado in a three-run first inning. The right-handed rookie threw just 48-of-77 pitches for strikes and watched his ERA bump to 5.38. Beede will take on the Phillies at home on Friday as he looked to snap his three-start losing streak.

Suter (elbow) will advance his rehab assignment to Double-A Biloxi, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Suter began his rehab assignment with the Arizona League Brewers last week -- almost exactly one year after undergoing Tommy John surgery -- so this is extremely quick progress in his rehab stint. The 29-year-old never appeared likely to pitch in 2019 so quickly after surgery, but his recent progression suggests a possible return in September.

The Rockies placed Estevez on the family emergency medical leave list Sunday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

MLB rules dictate that Estevez will be inactive for at least three days, but no more than seven. The reliever will be replaced in the bullpen by Jesus Tinoco, who was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque in a corresponding move.

Mayers was designated for assignment by the Cardinals on Sunday.

Mayers was activated off the 60-day injured list July 23 but struggled in four appearances, allowing six runs over 5.1 innings with a 2:5 K:BB. The 27-year-old could remain in the organization if he goes unclaimed on waivers.

Helsley was recalled from Triple-A Memphis on Sunday.

Helsey was sent to Memphis on July 21 and returns to the Cardinals after spending two weeks in the minors. The 25-year-old has a 2.92 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 13:6 K:BB through 12.1 major-league innings this season.
