Gonsalves was claimed by the Mets off waivers from Minnesota.

Gonsalves battled elbow issues last season and made just one appearance at Triple-A Rochester where he threw two innings (he threw 11 innings in rehab outings in rookie ball and Double-A). Gonsalves was coming off his first taste of the majors in 2018 and looked set to compete for a big-league job before the injury. He'll now try to win a role with the Mets, but he likely will need to prove he's healthy at Triple-A.

Gsellman (triceps) is a candidate for the Mets' starting rotation in 2020, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

The 26-year-old's ERA rose to 4.66 with a 60:23 K:BB over 63.2 innings in 2019, but general manager Brodie Van Wagenen said both Gsellman and Seth Lugo are candidates to start next season depending on who the Mets sign in free agency. Lugo would be the more likely candidate given his recent success out of the bullpen and past production as a starter. However, Gsellman also has experience as a starter, recording a 4.44 ERA with a 1.44 WHIP over 2016 and 2017, when he made 29 starts.

Perdomo's contract was selected by the Brewers on Saturday.

The 25-year-old had some struggles in limiting run production in the minors last season, recording a 4.28 ERA, but he also amassed a 107:46 K:BB over 69.1 innings in the minors. Perdomo's addition to the 40-man roster signals that he could make his major-league debut relatively soon, but he'd likely need to bring his ERA down prior to joining the Brewers' pitching staff.

Hicks (elbow) was moved to the 40-man roster Friday.

Hicks underwent Tommy John surgery in July, so while he's expected to miss most if not all of the 2020 campaign, the club will move him back to the 40-man roster for now.

Jansen is not expected to opt out of the two years and $38 million remaining on his contract, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports.

The 32-year-old was less sharp in 2019 than he had been in the past, posting a 3.71 ERA with 33 saves, which was a six-year low. Despite his regression, Jansen should remain the closer for the Dodgers, at least to begin next season.

Kennedy (lat) was outrighted to Triple-A El Paso on Thursday, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Kennedy missed the entire 2019 season with a lat strain, and is now off the 40-man roster after posting a 6.75 ERA in six starts for the Padres in 2018. There's a chance he could attend major-league spring training as a non-roster invitee.

Scott was outrighted to Triple-A Reno on Thursday.

The 30-year-old spent most of 2019 at the Triple-A level, where he recorded a 6.94 ERA with a 61:35 K:BB over 48 innings pitched. The southpaw has posted a 1.31 WHIP with a 53:27 K:BB in 55.2 innings pitched over four partial seasons in the majors.

Barraclough was designated for assignment by the Giants on Wednesday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

The 29-year-old recorded a career-worst 5.61 ERA with a 1.75 WHIP over 33.2 innings pitched last season between the Nationals and Giants, and he now finds himself off the 40-man roster. Given his major-league experience and relative success in the past, it wouldn't be surprising to see a team claim him off waivers, but his struggles to limit baserunners over the past two seasons may cause some concern. Left-hander Tyler Anderson was claimed off waivers from the Rockies in a corresponding move.

Howard was claimed off waivers by the Pirates on Wednesday.

Howard threw 19 innings for the Rockies this season, struggling to a 6.63 ERA. The lefty's 25.3 percent strikeout rate was decent, and he struck out 28.7 percent of batters at Triple-A Albuquerque, so he could have a shot at a bullpen role on Pittsburgh's Opening Day roster.

Suero was added to the Nationals' World Series roster.

Suero made the team's NLDS roster and was on the NLCS roster for a day before being dropped for Daniel Hudson's return from paternity leave. He's made just a single appearance this postseason, getting one out and allowing one run.
