Kuhnel was optioned to the Reds' alternate training site Wednesday.

Kuhnel spent four days on the big-league roster, allowing a pair of runs on a pair of solo shots in his season debut Sunday against the Brewers. He was removed from the roster to make way for Wednesday's starter Wade Miley (groin), who returned from a trip to the injured list in a corresponding move.

Yamamoto is slated to start Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays in Buffalo.

The Marlins have yet to bring back any of their missing four starters (Sandy Alcantara, Caleb Smith, Jose Urena and Robert Dugger) from the 10-day injured list or COVID-19 injured list, so Yamamoto will pick up a second turn through the rotation after making his season debut last week in Baltimore. He was pulled after four innings and 66 pitches in that start, giving up four runs on six hits and no walks while striking out four.

Burdi (elbow) won't need surgery for now and will receive a platelet-rich plasma injection instead, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Burdi picked up his first career save this year but lasted just three appearances before his frustratingly frequent injury problems resurfaced. While it's certainly a positive that he's avoided surgery, his latest issue is nevertheless serious enough that he's already been ruled out for the remainder of the year. Whether or not he's at full strength to being the 2021 campaign remains to be seen.

Kolarek was optioned to the Dodgers' alternate training site Wednesday.

Kolarek spent just two days with the Dodgers during his latest stint on the big-league roster, throwing two shutout innings Tuesday in his lone appearance. Tony Gonsolin was recalled in a corresponding move.

Uceta (undisclosed) is still not at the Dodgers' alternate training site, Jorge Castillo of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Uceta departed summer camp in early July for undisclosed reasons, and little has been said about the 22-year-old's absence since. The right-hander was included in the Dodgers' 60-man player pool after logging a 3.21 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 76:33 K:BB in 73 innings with Double-A Tulsa last season.

Rogers earned the save Tuesday against the Astros after pitching a scoreless inning with two strikeouts.

Rogers blew a save Sunday against the Dodgers, but he bounced back with a strong performance against Houston, and he has now delivered four scoreless outings in his last five appearances. He has gone 1-3 with a 10.61 ERA, however, as he has allowed multiple runs three times -- including four or more twice.

Gott (1-0) earned the win Tuesday against the Astros after pitching a scoreless inning, allowing one walk and striking out one.

Gott walked a batter for the third straight outing, but that might be the lone negative point in his outing. The 27-year-old right-hander has gone five straight appearances without allowing a run and owns a sterling 1.50 ERA in six games this season.

Hader walked one and struck out three in a scoreless ninth inning Tuesday to record his third save of the season in a 6-4 win over the Twins.

The southpaw had been merely good through his first three appearances of 2020. but Hader looked more like his overpowering self in this one. He has yet to give up a hit, posting a 6:2 K:BB through four innings to go along with a 0.00 ERA, and he seems to have little competition for save chances in the Milwaukee bullpen this season.

Rainey struck out two over 1.2 perfect innings Tuesday to record his fourth hold of the season in a 2-1 win over the Mets.

With Sean Doolittle struggling to begin the year and Will Harris (groin) out since late July, Rainey has stepped up and emerged as a dependable high-leverage arm for manager Dave Martinez. Through eight appearances and 8.1 innings, Rainey has a win to go along with his holds, and his 1.08 ERA, 0.36 WHIP and 11:2 K:BB are all elite. The 27-year-old won't maintain a .000 BABIP forever -- the only hit he allowed was a solo homer, accounting for the only run against him so far -- but Rainey has become a fantasy asset in formats that value holds.

Hudson struck out two in a perfect ninth inning Tuesday to record his third save of the season in a 2-1 win over the Mets.

The veteran right-hander has been mostly effective to begin the year, getting scored upon in only one of his six appearances and converting three of his four save chances. With Sean Doolittle working in low-leverage spots right now as he tries to regain the late movement on his fastball, Hudson has the closer job to himself.
