Reyes allowed one run on two hits and a walk and struck out two over 1.2 innings to earn the save Sunday versus the Brewers.

Reyes entered the game with two on and one out in the eighth inning and struck out Ryan Braun and Jedd Gyorko to end the threat. The Brewers tallied a run against Reyes in the ninth, but he was able to escape by getting Avisail Garcia to ground out for the final out. It was Reyes' first save of the year to go with two holds, a 3.20 ERA and 1.42 WHIP in 19.2 innings. Andrew Miller figures to see most -- if not all -- of the Cardinals' save chances during the playoffs.

Gallegos (2-2) pitched two scoreless innings, allowing one hit and striking out three to earn the win Sunday over the Brewers.

Gallegos covered the fifth and sixth innings, directly following starter Austin Gomber. It appears Gallegos' late-season struggles have distanced him from the closer role a bit. He ends 2020 with a 3.60 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 21 strikeouts in 15 innings across 16 relief appearances. He also notched four saves and a hold.

Jansen pitched a perfect ninth inning with one strikeout in a non-save situation in Sunday's 5-0 win over the Angels.

Jansen hasn't notched a save since Sept. 15, but he has racked up six consecutive scoreless outings. He's allowed just three hits and a walk while striking out eight in that span. The 32-year-old closer ends the regular season with a 3.33 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 11 saves in 13 chances.

Gonzalez pitched a scoreless inning, allowing one hit and striking out one as the opener in Sunday's win over the Angels.

Gonzalez did his job as the opener with a solid first inning. He allowed Shohei Ohtani to reach on a single in the second before Dustin May took over on the mound. Gonzalez ends the regular season with a strong 1.33 ERA, 0.74 WHIP and 23:2 K:BB across 20.1 innings this season. He went 3-0 with two holds and could be a strong option out of the bullpen during the Dodgers' playoff run.

Martin exited Sunday's game against the Red Sox in the top of the seventh inning with right groin discomfort.

Martin threw four pitches to begin the seventh inning, but he signaled to trainers in the middle of an at-bat and was removed from the game. It's unclear whether the injury will impact his availability for the start of the postseason.

The Braves optioned Davidson to their alternate training site Sunday.

Davidson had the chance to stake his claim to a spot on the Braves' playoff roster with a strong showing in his MLB debut Saturday against the Red Sox, but he squandered the opportunity by surrendering seven runs (two earned) while recording just five outs. The Braves selected third baseman Pablo Sandoval's contract from the alternate site to fill Davidson's spot on the 28-man active roster.

The Cardinals announced that Hudson (forearm) will undergo Tommy John surgery Monday, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Hudson was shut down for the season after experiencing forearm tightness in his Sept. 17 start, but the 26-year-old was hopeful he could treat the injury through rest and rehab. After receiving a couple medical opinions, however, Hudson determined that surgery was his best course of action. While general manager John Mozeliak wasn't willing to rule Hudson out for the 2021 season, the typical recovery timeline from the procedure for most starting pitchers usually lasts at least 12 months. With that in mind, Hudson likely won't be a serious candidate to rejoin the St. Louis rotation until spring training in 2022.

Gonzalez will serve as the Dodgers' opening pitcher in Sunday's regular-season finale against the Angels, Alanna Rizzo of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports.

Though he'll be making his first big-league "start," Gonzalez shouldn't be counted on to handle much more than two innings or 32 pitches, the longest he's worked in any of his prior 14 relief appearances this season. Dustin May is expected to serve as the Dodgers' bulk reliever and is the likeliest pitcher to factor into any decision.

Morejon is listed as the Padres' starter for Sunday's game against the Giants.

The lefty will make his ninth appearance (fourth start) in San Diego's regular-season finale with Mike Clevinger (biceps) injured and Garrett Richards shifted to the bullpen. Morejon has not pitched more than three innings in an appearance this season. He should make the postseason roster in a long-relief role after turning in a 4.86 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 21:4 K:BB in his first 16.2 innings of 2020.

Kolarek earned the save Saturday against the Angels after pitching a scoreless two-thirds of an inning. He allowed one hit.

Kolarek entered the game after a two-run double from David Fletcher with one out in the ninth, and he got the job done. Despite allowing a single to Jared Walsh, Kolarek shut the door by retiring Albert Pujols and Shohei Ohtani to earn his first save of the season. Kolarek has been outstanding out of the bullpen this year and has a 0.95 ERA with a 0.79 WHIP -- both career-best marks -- in 19 innings across 20 appearances.
