Jeff Hoffman RP | TOR
Reds' Jeff Hoffman: Falls to Bucs
Hoffman (2-3) took the loss Tuesday, allowing three runs on four hits and two walks over four innings as the Reds were downed 7-2 by the Pirates. He struck out four.
For the third straight start, Hoffman failed to get past four innings. He tossed 46 of his 75 pitches for strikes. The right-hander will take a 4.70 ERA and 27:15 K:BB through 30.2 innings into his next outing.

Brent Suter RP | LAA
Brewers' Brent Suter: Reinstated Tuesday
Suter was reinstated from the bereavement list Tuesday.
He was out of his element in his last appearance, giving up three earned runs over 2.1 innings as a starter May 7 in Miami. Suter will work as a fireman out of the bullpen going forward. He logged a 2.70 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 15 strikeouts in 16.2 innings over 12 appearances prior to that most recent outing.

Elieser Hernandez RP | ATL
Marlins' Elieser Hernandez: Progressing in rehab
Hernandez (biceps) is throwing a bullpen Tuesday and live batting practice Thursday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
The right-hander presumably requires multiple rehab starts before returning to the big league-rotation. Hernandez exited his season debut April 3 after 2.1 innings and was placed on the injured list two days later. His activation from the injured list likely remains at least two weeks off.

Chris Martin RP | TEX
Braves' Chris Martin: Making another rehab appearance
Martin (shoulder) will make his third rehab appearance Tuesday before the Braves decide if he's ready to return, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.
The righty pitched in just two early-season games before landing on the injured list with shoulder inflammation. Martin figures to have a critical role in the Braves' lefty-heavy bullpen upon returning from injury.

Silvino Bracho RP | CIN
Giants' Silvino Bracho: Overcomes oblique strain
Bracho (oblique) made his season debut Friday for Triple-A Sacramento, striking out two and walking one over a scoreless inning of relief in a 6-4 win over Las Vegas.
The 28-year-old right-hander was battling a left oblique strain late in spring training, but he appears to have made a full recovery. Bracho was a useful piece in Arizona's bullpen in 2018, but he's thrown just a single inning in the majors in the two seasons since.

Bryse Wilson RP | MIL
Braves' Bryse Wilson: Getting start Tuesday
Atlanta recalled Wilson from Triple-A Gwinnett to start Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays.
Wilson will likely be up with Atlanta for just one start, as skipper Brian Snitker wanted to skip Drew Smyly's turn in the rotation for a matchup with the Blue Jays after Toronto pummeled the lefty for six runs (five earned) in four innings back on April 30. Relying on Wilson to turn in dramatically better results than Smyly against Toronto may be wishful thinking; the 24-year-old righty has surrendered four home runs and posted an underwhelming 6:5 K:BB in 12 innings at the big-league level in 2021.

Tyler Rogers RP | TOR
Giants' Tyler Rogers: Collects another hold
Rogers pitched a perfect eighth inning to earn a hold in Monday's 3-1 win over Texas.
Rogers is already up to 10 holds, two saves and two blown saves in 20 appearances. He's been excellent as the primary setup man to Jake McGee. Rogers has a 0.87 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 10:4 K:BB in 20.2 innings. The sidearm-throwing right-hander is thriving in a high-leverage role for the NL West-leading Giants.

Dinelson Lamet RP | LAD
Padres' Dinelson Lamet: Slated to start Tuesday
Lamet will start Tuesday's game against the Rockies, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Lamet's scheduled start Monday was postponed due to inclement weather, but he'll take the mound a day later. Yu Darvish was initially expected to start Tuesday but will now start Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader.

Padres' Dinelson Lamet: Monday start postponed
Lamet's scheduled start Monday against the Rockies has been postponed due to inclement weather.
The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Wednesday. It's possible Lamet won't get to start until one of those two games, as ace Yu Darvish is scheduled to start Tuesday.
