Davidson will be recalled to start Thursday's game against the Nationals, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.
Atlanta will turn to Davidson for a spot start in their series finale. In such an opportunity May 18, the lefty logged a quality start, striking out five and yielding three runs in six innings. Davidson has excelled as a starter in the minors and may work his way into Atlanta's rotation at some point if that success continues to translate to the major-league level.

Mets' Robert Gsellman: Strong in long relief
Gsellman allowed two hits and struck out one in 3.2 scoreless innings in Wednesday's 7-6 win over Arizona.
Starter David Peterson was only able to record one out, but Gsellman provided the Mets with solid innings in long relief. The 27-year-old has often seen multi-inning assignments this year. He's posted solid ratios with a 2.42 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 14:6 K:BB across 22.1 innings in 13 appearances. Gsellman also has one hold, but he's unlikely to see much high-leverage work.

Mets' Miguel Castro: Notches win
Castro (2-1) pitched two scoreless innings and allowed just one walk, earning the win Wednesday versus Arizona.
Castro kept Arizona off the board in the seventh and eighth innings. Pete Alonso put the Mets ahead in the top of the ninth, and Edwin Diaz converted the save. Castro owns a 2.66 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 31:12 K:BB across 23.2 innings, He's also collected four holds and blown a pair of save chances along the way, and he should continue to be in the mix for high-leverage work.

Mets' Edwin Diaz: Bounces back for 10th save
Diaz pitched a perfect ninth inning with one strikeout to earn the save in Wednesday's 7-6 win over Arizona.
The right-hander blew a save Tuesday, but he delivered a strong bounce-back outing Wednesday. Diaz is now 10-for-11 in save chances this season. He's pitched to a 3.22 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 29:7 K:BB in 22.1 innings, and he's yet to allow a home run this year.

Cionel Perez RP | NYM
Reds' Cionel Perez: Returns to Triple-A
Perez was optioned to Triple-A Louisville on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old was initially optioned to Louisville on Monday before being recalled Tuesday, but he's now headed back to the minors. Perez has struggled in 18 appearances this season with an 8.31 ERA, 2.02 WHIP and 13:18 K:BB over 17.1 innings.

Padres' Pierce Johnson: Charged with loss
Johnson (1-2) allowed two runs on two walks with one strikeout in two-thirds of an inning to take the loss Wednesday against the Cubs.
Johnson walked Nick Martini and Joc Pederson to start the fifth inning. He was able to retire the next two batters, but Tim Hill allowed both inherited runners to score on an Anthony Rizzo double. Wednesday was the second time in 20 outings Johnson has been charged with multiple runs. He's posted a 3.63 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 27:8 K:BB across 17.1 innings, mainly in low-leverage assignments.

Padres' Dinelson Lamet: Whiffs six in no-decision
Lamet allowed a run on four hits and a walk with six strikeouts in four innings versus the Cubs on Wednesday. He did not factor in the decision.
The right-hander threw 47 of 72 pitches for strikes in his longest outing of the season. Lamet has pitched fairly well despite San Diego's cautious approach to his workload. He has a strong 2.50 ERA, but he's also posted a 1.44 WHIP and 21:7 K:BB across 18 innings in seven appearances. The 28-year-old projects to make his next start in a home rematch with the Cubs next week.

Cubs' Adbert Alzolay: Earns fourth win
Alzolay (4-4) allowed a run on three hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in five innings to earn the win Wednesday over San Diego.
The only run against the right-hander was a Ha-Seong Kim RBI single in the fourth inning. Alzolay continues to be effective at limiting baserunners -- he owns a 0.91 WHIP on the season. The 26-year-old has added a 3.62 ERA and 58:11 K:BB across 54.2 innings in 10 starts. Alzolay lines up for a road rematch with San Diego next week.

Trevor Megill RP | MIL
Cubs' Trevor Megill: Reinstated, optioned
Megill (forearm) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list and optioned to Triple-A Iowa on Wednesday, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
Megill completed his rehab assignment Tuesday when he tossed 1.1 scoreless innings for Triple-A Iowa. He's tossed two scoreless innings with the major-league club this season but will remain with the Triple-A club for now.

Dominic Leone RP | CHW
Giants' Dominic Leone: Solid in season debut
Leone allowed a hit and struck out two in a scoreless inning in Tuesday's 8-1 loss to the Angels.
Leone kept the blowout from getting worse in the ninth inning of the loss. The veteran right-hander last appeared in the majors with Cleveland, where he had an 8.38 ERA and 1.97 WHIP across 9.2 innings last season. He'll likely begin his San Francisco career in a low-leverage relief role.
