  • J.B. Bukauskas RP | MIL

Diamondbacks' J.B. Bukauskas: Handed second loss

Bukauskas (1-2) took the loss in Sunday's 7-4 defeat at the hands of the Dodgers, allowing three runs on two hits and a walk in one-third of an inning.

Bukauskas came in for the ninth in a 4-4 game and surrendered a single, sacrifice, intentional walk and game-ending Max Muncy home run to take the loss. The rookie enters the break with 12.2 innings across 16 appearances and unsightly 9.24 ERA but may receive additional opportunities on a tanking Diamondbacks team.

  • Kenley Jansen RP | DET

Dodgers' Kenley Jansen: Picks up first win

Jansen (1-2) won Sunday's 7-4 victory over the Diamondbacks, allowing one hit in one inning.

Jansen pitched a scoreless ninth to preserve a 4-4 tie and became the winner when Max Muncy walked it off in the bottom of the inning. It was the closer's fourth appearance of July. Jansen concludes the first half with excellent marks of 21 saves, 1.24 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 41:22 K:BB ratio.

  • Jordan Weems RP | LAD

Diamondbacks' Jordan Weems: Demoted to minors

The Diamondbacks optioned Weems to Triple-A Reno on Sunday, Zach Buchanan of The Athletic reports.

Weems was one of several Arizona pitchers battered in Saturday's 22-1 loss to the Dodgers, as he retired just one batter while allowing five runs on three hits and two walks. The reliever gave up two runs in an inning over his other appearance with Arizona following his July 6 call-up, so he didn't make a compelling case to stick around on the 26-man active roster.

  • Josh Hader RP | HOU

Brewers' Josh Hader: Handed second straight loss

Hader (3-2) allowed two runs on two hits and a walk Sunday, taking a loss against the Reds. He struck out two batters.

Hader found himself in a bases-loaded jam with two outs in the ninth inning and coughed up a two-run single to Nick Castellanos. After allowing one run in his previous 19 outings, the 27-year-old lefty gave up three runs in two weekend appearances against Cincinnati and was charged with the loss in both. Still, he owns a strong 63:13 K:BB and 1.49 ERA this season.

  • Daniel Bard RP | COL

Rockies' Daniel Bard: Save No. 14

Bard notched his 14th save in Sunday's 3-1 victory over the Padres, allowing one hit with two strikeouts in the ninth.

Bard has now saved back-to-back Colorado wins against San Diego as he navigated some of the Padres' big bats to record the save on Sunday. He concludes the season's first half with a 4.04 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, 49:19 K:BB and 14 saves in 19 opportunities.

  • Ryan Weathers SP | NYY

Padres' Ryan Weathers: Getting Achilles checked out

Weathers is scheduled to undergo tests around his right Achilles area later Sunday after he exited the Padres' 3-1 loss to the Rockies in the third inning, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

The injury in question occurred when Weathers' right cleat got stuck in the ground, resulting in him losing balance as he attempted to apply a tag on the Rockies' Jon Gray. According to Acee, the Padres' initial evaluations of Weathers' knee and ankle appear to have revealed nothing concerning, but the upcoming tests should reveal more information about the severity and nature of his injury. Even if he's cleared of structural damage to his Achilles' tendon, Weathers still looks at major risk of opening the Padres' post-All-Star break schedule on the 10-day injured list.

  • Emilio Pagan RP | CIN

Padres' Emilio Pagan: Sharp in return from neck issue

Pagan (neck) has opened July with four scoreless appearances, covering 4.1 innings while permitting two hits and two walks while striking out three.

Pagan dealt with a minor neck issue toward the end of June, but it never required a trip to the injured list. After a few days off, Pagan was cleared to return to action and has immediately stepped back into a high-leverage role in the San Diego bullpen. He'll head into the All-Star break with a 3.11 ERA, four wins and 13 holds across 40 appearances.

  • Edwin Diaz RP | LAD

Mets' Edwin Diaz: Blows save, takes loss

Diaz (3-3) allowed two runs on four hits and a walk with two strikeouts in 1.1 innings, taking a blown save and the loss Sunday versus Pittsburgh.

The 27-year-old entered the game with runners on the corners and one out in the eighth inning. He issued a walk to load the bases, but escaped the jam by striking out Michael Perez and Ke'Bryan Hayes. Diaz didn't get so lucky in the ninth inning, as Pittsburgh gained the lead by scoring two runs with two outs on his watch. The right-hander is now 19-for-21 in save chances this year, and he's posted a 3.25 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 50:14 K:BB across 36 innings.

  • Aaron Loup RP | LAA

Mets' Aaron Loup: Two scoreless innings as opener

Loup allowed two hits and struck out two in two innings as the opener in Sunday's 6-5 loss to Pittsburgh. He did not factor in the decision.

The southpaw did his job as the opener, and he was ultimately one of the more effective of six pitchers the Mets deployed Sunday. Loup has thrived in a versatile role with eight holds, three wins, a 1.61 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 34:6 K:BB across 28 innings in 31 appearances. Sunday was his first major-league start, but he'll likely return to a high-leverage bullpen role after the All-Star break.

  • David Bednar RP | NYY

Pirates' David Bednar: Snags second win

Bednar (2-1) allowed two hits in a scoreless inning and earned the win over the Mets on Sunday.

The 26-year-old benefited from Pittsburgh pulling ahead in the top of the ninth, which put him in line for the win. Bednar hasn't seen a ton of high-leverage work for a struggling team, but he's pitched reasonably well with a 3.09 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 42:12 K:BB across 35 innings. The right-hander has added six holds and a blown save in 39 appearances.
