Dillon Peters RP | PIT
Pirates' Dillon Peters: Takes loss in Pittsburgh debut
Peters (0-1) allowed two runs (one earned) on five hits and three walks with three strikeouts in 4.2 innings, taking the loss Sunday versus Milwaukee.
The southpaw made his first major-league appearance of 2021, but he wasn't very effective. Peters was let down by his defense in the first inning, and he gave up an RBI double to Christian Yelich in the third. The 28-year-old could remain in the rotation while Bryse Wilson (general soreness) is on the shelf, but Peters isn't likely to have much fantasy relevance on a subpar Pittsburgh team. His next turn through the rotation is tentatively scheduled for next weekend in St. Louis.

Brent Suter RP | LAA
Brewers' Brent Suter: Snags 12th win
Suter (12-5) struck out two in a perfect inning, earning the win Sunday versus Pittsburgh.
The southpaw worked the fifth inning after Eric Lauer lasted only four frames in his return from the COVID-19 injured list. Suter kept Pittsburgh off the bases, and Milwaukee held onto a narrow 2-1 lead to the end of the game. As a multi-inning reliever, Suter has been particularly effective at snagging wins this year. He's added a save, six holds and seven blown saves while posting a 2.81 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 57:18 K:BB through 57.2 innings.

Josh Hader RP | HOU
Brewers' Josh Hader: Strikes out two in save
Hader struck out two in a perfect inning to earn the save in Sunday's 2-1 win over Pittsburgh.
Milwaukee's closer has made two appearances since returning from the COVID-19 injured list, striking out five while allowing just one hit across two innings. Hader made quick work of the Pirates on Sunday, needing just 12 pitches to close out the contest. The hard-throwing lefty has a 1.74 ERA, 0.80 WHIP, 72:14 K:BB and 23 saves in 24 chances across 41.1 innings.

Lucas Sims RP | CHW
Reds' Lucas Sims: Earns relief win
Sims (5-2) struck out two in 1.1 perfect innings to earn the win Sunday against the Phillies.
Sims was charged with a loss and blown save in his last appearance when he allowed three runs (two earned) in two-thirds of an inning against Atlanta on Wednesday. However, he worked as a middle reliever Sunday and earned his fifth win of the season after he relieved starter Sonny Gray in the bottom of the fifth inning. The 27-year-old has made three appearances since he returned from the injured list, and he's held the opposition scoreless in two of those outings.

Elieser Hernandez RP | ATL
Marlins' Elieser Hernandez: Yields one run in no-decision
Hernandez allowed a run on four hits and a walk over 5.1 innings in Sunday's win over the Cubs. He struck out four and did not factor in the decision.
It was Hernandez's third MLB appearance this season and first since June 3 after his second stint on the 60-day injured list. He showed no signs of rust, cruising through five shutout innings to begin the game. The only blemish on his outing was a solo shot off the bat of Frank Schwindel in the sixth. It's been a small sample size, but Hernandez has impressed this season with a 2.84 ERA and a 13:1 K:BB over 12.2 frames. He's projected to take the mound in Cincinnati next week.

Dylan Floro RP | ARI
Marlins' Dylan Floro: Escapes with fifth save
Floro allowed a walk and a hit in a scoreless ninth inning Sunday, striking out two and picking up a save over the Cubs.
Floro gave up a single and a walk to start the ninth but retired the final three batters, including two on punchouts, to escape the jam and finish off the win. He's now 5-for-9 in save chances (3-for-4 in August) with a 3.02 ERA through 47.2 innings this season. The 30-year-old righty has given up four runs on six hits and a pair of walks over his last five appearances.

Will Smith RP | KC
Braves' Will Smith: Earns save Sunday
Smith allowed no hits and two walks while striking out two in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save in Sunday's win over the Nationals.
Smith wasn't needed in Saturday's 12-2 win over Washington, but he secured the series sweep with his second save in the last three days Sunday. He's made 12 appearances since the All-Star break, and he's converted seven of nine save chances with a 3.75 ERA and 1.25 WHIP in 12 innings during that time.
-
Jesse Chavez RP | ATL
Braves' Jesse Chavez: Picks up third win
Chavez (3-2) allowed two runs on three hits and a walk in one inning to earn the win Sunday against the Nationals.
Chavez wasn't particularly sharp in Sunday's outing, as he allowed the Nationals to bring the game within one run in the bottom of the fifth inning. However, he nabbed his third win of 2021 since Atlanta's bullpen tossed four scoreless frames after the right-hander left the game. Chavez has now allowed runs in three of his last four relief appearances, and he's recorded a 12.27 ERA and 3.00 WHIP in 3.2 innings across that span.

Joe Mantiply RP | TOR
Diamondbacks' Joe Mantiply: Returns to COVID-19 IL
The Diamondbacks placed Mantiply on the injured list Sunday without a designation, implying he's been moved to the COVID-19-related IL.
As Steve Gilbert of MLB.com notes, manager Torey Lovullo said following Saturday's win over the Padres that the Diamondbacks were conducting contact tracing after starting pitcher Merrill Kelly tested positive for COVID-19, and Mantiply appears to have been at potential risk of infection. The reliever previously spent time on the COVID-19-related IL earlier this month, but because he was deactivated for less than 10 days, he wasn't believed to have tested positive for the virus. Mantiply has emerged as a key setup reliever for Arizona, posting a 4.66 ERA while gathering seven holds over the past month and a half.

Reiss Knehr RP | SD
Padres' Reiss Knehr: Rejoins big club
The Padres recalled Knehr from Triple-A El Paso on Sunday.
San Diego is treating Sunday's series finale with the Diamondbacks as a bullpen game, so Knehr could be a candidate to cover multiple frames in relief behind opener Craig Stammen, who is unlikely to work more than 2-to-3 innings. If Knehr goes unused Sunday, he could stay with the Padres and make a spot start or work as a primary pitcher at some point during the team's three-game series in Colorado that begins Monday. The Padres will need to fill Yu Darvish's (back) turn in the rotation during that series after he was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday.
